Kaunis Uudempi kotiin Elk järven! Tule, pysy jossa perheen muistoja tehdään. Missä on upea järvinäköala kaikista huoneista. Tämä tilava 4 + makuuhuone, 3 kylpyhuone kotiin on täällä odottamassa sinua ja perhettäsi tutkia ihmeitä Pohjois-Michiganissa ja Chain of Lakes, oleskellessaan mukavasti. Makuuhuoneessa on uusi parisänky, rentoutua poreallas, lukiessasi, että romaanin et koskaan ole aikaa. Tuo omalla veneellä tai veden lelu, tai vuokrata yksi lähellä marina. Elk järvi on täydellinen uinti, hiihto, letkut, kalastus tai ottaa ikimuistoinen venematkan läpi Chain Of Lakes, ajaa jopa maalauksellinen Torch River uimaan suosittuun Torch Lake sandbar, pysähtyä Alden oman hyväksi jäätelöä, tai jatka ylös itäpuolella Torch Laiturimenuun syötävää tai juotavaa.
Pysäköinti 4 ajoneuvoa ja yksi perävaunu.
Päivän päätteeksi on mukava ranta tulipalo, paahtamalla vaahtokarkkia täydelliseen kullanruskeaksi tai rakentaa joitakin-tavat. Kun lapset ovat asettuneet ja mennyt nukkumaan, voit istua alas järven ja katsella kuin palo hitaasti muuttuu punainen hiilet ja tähdet tuikkivat järvelle, otat syvään henkeä "mitä hyvä päivä" Täällä perheen muistoja tehdään. Perfect Place!

We absolutely love this place and would rent again in a heart beat! Amy the Property Manager was on top of every need. The location is perfect and the private beach was amazing. Abundant amenities and comforts. We had six adult, an infant and toddler. The space worked really well for us to not be on top of each other! Cozy fireplaces too! We will be back!

Beautiful private getaway

This is undoubtedly one of the best properties I’ve stayed at. To have such pristine views of the lake in a very private setting is priceless. The family and friends I was with during my stay could not get enough of those views. That alone is worth it.

Wonderful location for a family vacation

Beautiful home on Elk Lake. The small beach was a highlight of our family trip as we spent all sunny afternoons at the beach and in the lake The home is very spacious. Lots of counter space for the many snacks we had for 9 adults and two children. Fridge in the garage was a nice plus for our beverages. The home is on a busy road but we didn’t spend anytime out front so it wasn’t an issue. The only negatives: gas grill doesn’t seem to warm up properly so we didn’t use it after one dinner To cool the upstairs the lower level gets really cold. For our group this wasn’t an issue as those in the lower level like the a/c to be 65 The paddle boats could use some maintenance as one doesn’t steer well. We rented a wave runner from downtown Elk Rapids to use one day. Our group had a blast on it. I would definitely consider this rental again in the future.

fun family vacation

This was overall a great place for our multi-family vacation. We had lots of fun. The beds were comfortable, & the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed great views of Elk Lake. The older kids enjoyed the 2 kayaks, paddle boat, pier, bicycles, & fire pit, while the small kids enjoyed the little sand beach. A Lake Michigan beach, which also had tennis & basketball courts, was only 10 minutes away. Everyone enjoyed renting a ski boat - plenty of space for skiing/tubing without traffic from other boats. At night we all enjoyed evening games at the large game table in the lower level. The cottage was advertised as sleeping 8-15 people. However, we were very surprised to find that the cottage sleeps only 9 people in beds & one on a futon. The bed count should be changed to accurately reflect number of places to sleep in beds. It should then mention that there's s large lower level area where 6 more people (brings number of guests up to 15) could sleep on blow-up mattresses that guests need to provide for themselves. Since that lower level is cold, more warm blankets wold be nice. Also, seating for meals was for 8 people indoors & 4 on the outside deck. We had to eat in shifts to make that work when the weather was cool. We had been warned of possible swimmer's itch from swimming in Elk lake, but this did not materialize even though our little ones swam in shallow water in front of the cottage. We did, though, towel off thoroughly after swimming.

First family vacation to Michigan

Beautiful property with gorgeous views of the lake. Plenty of space for our family of 8 adults and 5 children to spread out. The sandy beach area was perfect for the small grandchildren. We really enjoyed the upper deck and lower patio along with the 2 kayaks and fire pit area. We had a great time!

Elk Lake Life

We had our first Family vacation all together at Owner Linda’s home. It was perfect for our group and two grand puppies. The Elk Lake view was spectacular. Property manager Tracy was a dream to work with. We were so pleased with our experience, we reserved the house in 2023.

Great place to stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect for a large group with ages between 9 to 78. The view is beautiful, even in the winter, but we'd love to experience the location again in the summer. The house was spacious, very clean, and had all the accommodations we needed. We highly recommend it.

Great place for a family getaway

We stayed here for a family New Year getaway with 11 people in two families, and it was perfect. Our older kids had plenty of space downstairs to hang out away from the parents, and we had plenty of options for seating, eating, and sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was really well equipped, which was a nice bonus not mentioned in the listing. The property is right on the lake, which is great, but since it was December, we didn’t go in. It’s close to Traverse, the wineries, and Sleeping Bear Dunes, all of which we visited. There’s also a really nice, family friendly nature area called Maplehurst about 5 mins away that was perfect for getting some fresh air in the snow. Highly recommend this property and can’t wait to visit again in warmer weather.

Breathtaking views

If you like a clean spacious home with panoramic views, this house is for you. House was very well stocked. Linda was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time.

Family Time

The house was great. We had a large group and never felt crowded. The only issue we had was that the backyard was a small pond after rainfall. We actually bought a pump and hose to pump the water back into the lake. We couldn’t use the yard for games but the beach area was fine. We didn’t have small kids so the yard wasn’t a huge problem just a little annoying when walking out to the lake. We would rent again!!!

Great House/Great Location

Just an awesome week on Elk Lake. Location is great. Water was beautiful with plenty of sandbar area in close proximity. House was very nice with small beach area, great deck and fire pit.

Wonderful place for families

We spent a week with family at Lynda’s property and were completely impressed with the house and the beautiful views. The kitchen was very well stocked making it easy to entertain at the house. We loved the close proximity to town and the kayaks and paddle boat that were a part of the rental. We would highly recommend this place for families with small children; the beach area was the perfect play space for our little ones! We hope to return in the near future!!

Family Gathering for Ironman Traverse City

This property provided perfect accommodations for family to gather and cheer on our Ironman competitors, The house was as nice as advertised. Plenty of space, mooring for our boat, nice small beach for our grandson to play all day.

Elk Lake Piece of Heaven

What a wonderful vacation getaway! This place has it all. It was so clean, so comfortable and the manager was easy to communicate with regarding any questions we had. We had family from CA, GA and lower MI. We all give it two thumbs up and a 5 star rating!!

Great lake home

Our family of 12 spent last week at this great lake home on Elk Lake. Overall the experience was good. The views of Elk Lake are spectacular. The kitchen layout was superb with lots of supplies including dishes, pots and pans, flatware, spices, etc . The two upstairs bedrooms were great with both having direct access to full bathrooms. The basement has two bedrooms with one full bath. Not sure if the air conditioning unit was working correctly because in order to cool the upstairs adequately, it left the basement freezing cold. We really couldn't hang out down there because of this. Also, the downstairs bathroom had a leak coming from somewhere upstairs. We contacted the manager and thought somebody was supposed to come out, but nobody came. The property could use more than one garbage container. Elk Lake is a large, beautiful, quiet lake. We brought our boat up and enjoyed boat rides on Elk and also made the trek to Torch Lake which was even more beautiful but very busy. Unfortunately a few of us contracted swimmers itch from Elk Lake, so be prepared for that if you are planning on swimming. We recommend going to the Lake Michigan beach in Elk Rapids which is only 10 minutes away. We ate at Pearls restaurant which is very good. Try to call ahead. The house is on a pretty busy road, so it made us nervous to let the kids ride their bikes. We had to escort them across the road and then they were able to bike in a neighborhood. Overall we enjoyed our stay. There are always slight negatives to every place; there's no place like home, right? The area of Elk Rapids is one of the best in Michigan.

Great weather, great week, great house

We had an amazing week in Elk Lake! We came here with 2 families, and 4 kids, ranging in age from 11 to 9months. All were very entertained and enjoyed the lake. The weather was great! Most days were sunny and 75 degrees, which felt much warmer. The lake was a little chilly for the baby, but the older kids loved it! The yard is great, with a nice grassy area, along with the beach. The lake: there were some small rocks and larger stones at the entry to the water, but a few steps in was sandy and clear. We had a few mornings that multitudes of fish fly (or some type of insect) carcasses had floated into shore, but we skimmed them off with a net and all was good. We also found quite a few small Petoskey stones in the shallow water. The kids loved this! The yard: nice, soft, green grass. The only downfall of the yard was the goose poop. We scooped it up the first day and that lasted until later in the week. We scooped again on Thursday and had no more problems. The covered area under the walkout level was great for shade. Also, there is a picnic table under there. There was a whole bin of rafts and beach toys, as well as 2 kayaks and a paddle boat that the kids spent hours paddling around in. The fire pit was great for the cooler evening weather. The house: fantastic, well-equipped, clean, open, and spacious. You walk in the front door to a wide open living space. To your left is the wide open kitchen. Plenty of dishes, utensils, and counter space. The cabinets were even left stocked with prior renters leftovers, which is nice to have. (Spices, sugar, flour, pancake mix, unopened pasta, etc). The refrigerator was big and newer. To the right of the entry was a laundry room, which leads into a bath, which leads into a bedroom. On the other side of the split floor plan was the master bed/bath. The closet was great. It was so big that we plugged in a nite light and set up babys pack n play like a small nursery. Down the stairs to the walkout is another split floor plan. A bedroom in each side, one with 2 twins and a trundle. The other with a queen/twin bunk. It is very cool in the walkout level, but there were plenty of blankets. All 4 bedrooms have lake views with sliders to the deck/patio. Grocery shopping: we bought food for the week at the Village Market which has everything you will need. We definately enjoyed our week and plan to book again for next summer! Michigan vacation

A great place for a family get together. We had 3 families and there was plenty of room for blowup mattresses in the lower level, the view of the lake from every window is beautiful, the furniture is comfortable and I'm sure we will be back next summer. The one addition that would be great is a mirror and maybe a small chest of drawers in the downstairs bedrooms and a brighter light in the lower level bathroom. The beds are all very comfortable. We had a great time with the paddle boat but next time might rent a boat for a few days for fishing. Already looking forward to next year!
