Beautiful lakefront family home, only 15 minutes to Sun Peaks

Our beautiful waterfront family home is located on Heffley Lake, British Columbia, just 15 minutes down the road from Sun Peaks Resort. This vacation rental is perfect for families with over 2400 square feet of open concept living, 5 bedrooms, 2 decks and a 12’ x 20’ private dock on the water.

This is the place to make memories for your family holidays and special gatherings. Fun, play, laughter, and relaxation await you in our cozy main floor family room with wood burning fireplace or in the lower games room complete with a pool table. Just outside the door there are hiking and walking trails for all ages and abilities.

Trail Conditions: Loose dirt, single track, fairly steep
Highlights: The views of Heffley a lake and surrounding hills from the summit are gorgeous. Once at the there, you'll find a gazebo and picnic tables waiting for you. During the summer months, you'll also enjoy a beautiful variety of mountain flowers.

Enjoy trying your hand at fishing. The lake is stocked every year with rainbow trout.

Luxury cabin

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful, well stocked cabin. Easy to pop up for a day of skiing at Sun Peaks, totally cozy when we got back. Well looked after, beautifully decorated, everything you need and quick communication with the hosts.

Great Family Retreat

We were able to have a fantastic family gathering including grandparents, parents and children. Everyone had enough space to feel comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed as far as supplies, games and amenities. Great location on the lake with peaceful sounds of nature all around. We hope to make this an annual event.

Loved it, would love to come back!

The kitchen was so well stocked, and we were able to cook so many tasty meals and even a cake! Loved having lots of space to spread out and not be in each other's spaces all the time, but also having a lot of group gathering spaces for dinner and playing pool. Thank you so much for having us!

Wonderful location, had everything we needed!

We had such a great time. The rooms were lovely, and the bathrooms and heated floors were very much appreciated! The kitchen had everything we might have needed — the only problem was remembering where everything was! We would love to come back again if you'll have us.

Beautiful cabin!

Two families with adult children shared the cabin for five days between Xmas and New Year. Quick ride up to SP for skiing- then back to the cabin to relax and play games in front of the fire and shoot some pool. What could be better? Lovely clean cabin. Spacious. Beautiful views of the lake. Great communication from the owners.

A family gathering to celebrate an 80th birthday

Our family recently stayed here to celebrate my dads 80th birthday. We wanted to find a place that could accommodate 6 adults and 3 kids comfortably, on a lake, where we could fish, swim and relax. Well we found that here and so much more. This is a beautiful and quiet property, gorgeous home, nestled into nature on the cliff side of Hefley Lake. It is extremely well appointed which made our stay and meal preps incredibly easy. We’ve never stayed in a vrbo this well equipped. They are so thoughtful in their details, even leaving sunglasses and sunscreen to use if you forgot. Their books and games collection came in very handy on the overcast days or when we just wanted to relax inside. As did the pool table downstairs. The kids never mentioned anything about not having TV, in 6 days. They had so much to do! Our family spent 6 nights here and easily could’ve stayed longer. From the very first email request to the last, Peter responded quickly and graciously. It is a little bit of a steep slope down to the dock from the house, and a bit of a hike back up, so it’s something to keep in mind for anyone elderly or unstable. Walking poles helped make it more comfortable for my parents and I know Peter already has wonderful plans in place for this also. We enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire place and making s’mores, we enjoyed going for walks on the quiet road out front the property, and all the water fun down at the lake. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and either launched from the Hefley lake rec site which is a five minute drive down the road and then paddled back to the dock in front of the house or just carried our SUP’s right to the lake from the house. This was a wonderful, place to celebrate a family milestone and make memories. We will definitely go back!

We stayed here for our annual family and friends fishing trip. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed being able to dock our boats for the entire stay as we have previously stayed off the lake, even if the stairs/trail were a little long. We would definitely recommend staying here

Longtime buds fishing trip

Heffley Lake Home near Sun Peaks

This is the second time we've taken our Alpine Team to Sun Peaks and stayed here. Peter's place was perfect for our group meals as the kitchen is full stocked. The space is more than enough for the 10 of us to enjoy games, books and the pool table. Hopefully we'll have another race at Sun Peaks so we can book Peter's place again in the future.

Excellent option for a group just out of sun peaks village. Loads of board games and books. Pool table and ping pong table Childrens necessities. Everything you need for a fun time away No television for those that might want one. No hot tub All in all easy and worth while experience

Beautiful and well-equipped home!

We stayed over the Christmas holiday so we could have a white Christmas and ski at Sun Peaks. The house is absolutely beautiful and was perfect accommodations for our family. They decorated it for Christmas which was such a nice touch. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen that I have ever had at a rental. There were lots of kids books and toys and a high chair which was so helpful with our 17-month-old daughter. The drive from the house to Sun Peaks was quick and easy. The view of the lake was beautiful and we were lucky enough that the ice was well frozen so we got to go out and play on the ice. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay there again!

Breathtaking home

Lovely house, completely as advertised. Host was great to deal with. There were a couple of small deficiencies but nothing was a deal breaker. We’d stay here again for a weekend soon!!

Family Get Together

Awesome stay! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms makes it perfect for a multi generational family get together. Large open areas in the main part of the house, deck and dock for hanging out and the house is very well equipped. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
