Casita Olivia is a cute comfortable bungalow in a small safe Tico neighborhood with everything you need to make your stay in Samara comfortable and fun without breaking your budget! Secure parking on premises. The town center and 2 beaches are within walking distance. You will have use of bikes, snorkeling equipment and cooler included with your stay! Private entrance with a courtyard seating area, charcoal grill, and hammock. Equipped kitchen and extra linens are provided. Come stay with us!

Comfy and cozy

Cute little casita with everything you could need. Owners are in the front house and are very attentive and helpful, yet not intrusive. Walk to town and to the beach. Quiet neighborhood.

Amazing stay

Casita Olivia was amazing. The hosts are very welcoming and responsive. The rental was very clean and comfortable. The biggest plus was walking into a cold room thanks to AC!

Traveling through Costa Rica

Kelly and Sonia thought of everything! We spent a short amount of time in their lovely casita and cannot say enough about how thoughtfully appointed the accommodations were. If you’re considering a stay in Samara, do yourself a favor and stay here!

Perfect

Perfect location! Private and secure. Had so many extras.. 2 cold beers and fresh eggs in the fridge when we arrived. Nature all around… we saw crabs, frogs, monkeys and an iguana that came to close. The owners have the sweetest dogs and cats. I don’t normally stay at rental with the owners on property but this place was lovely and I would highly recommend. Thank you!!!

Kelly and Sonya were amazing hosts! The perfect little casita tucked back behind their own sweet home was beyond our expectations and an incredible value! When we arrived there were all kinds of special touches like chocolate, coffee, eggs and bread… Kelly even let me borrow her guitar and our first night we spent sharing a drink together playing music and just basically having a great time! The location is prime. You can get anywhere on foot, but they also offered a pair of bicycles that we enjoyed riding one day filling the baskets as we biked and shopped. And other days we just walked and followed our hosts suggestions as to where to get the best cold beer and tuna tartare! Everything in Samara is pretty much in walking distance from the casita but if you want to relax and go nowhere it was a great place to just unwind and hang out as well. With a shaded patio and a hammock we could’ve stayed for weeks! We are definitely coming back!

What a wonderful experience!!

The casita was lovely and there were so many thoughtful touches. We arrived to find eggs, butter, coffee, milk and more. We were offered use of bicycles though we chose to walk everywhere (2 minutes to store and a restaurant; 7 minutes to a great beach; 15 minutes to town). The bed, linens and towels were very high quality and very much appreciated. We loved being away from town and all the hustle and bustle. If you want to be in the middle of that scene then you might choose to stay elsewhere. The best part of our stay was definitely the warmth and kindness of our hosts Sonja and Kelley. They were happy to have us join them on their patio for a chat or just let us walk past if we were not in a visiting mood. They had great recommendations for restaurants that we would not have tried if not for them (for the best real Italian pizza go to Cos-Ita just a couple of blocks from the rental). Also, being greeted by their lovely, well-behaved dogs every day was a special treat for us. We will always remember Johnny and Maya with fondness. For the price we paid we feel like we got a great bargain and made some lovely friends too. We would have stayed longer than a week but they were already booked.

Very lovely casita and wonderful hosts!

My husband and I were very happy with our stay. The casita is incredibly nice and cozy. Kelly and Sonja are wonderful hosts and they put a lot of thought and effort into making sure their guests are comfortable. The place is sparkling clean and has no bugs. You’ll find everything you need. For the bathroom, there’s plenty of towels including beach towels, soups, shampoo and conditioner. The shower is amazing. It’s better than our shower at home. The kitchen has a counter-top electric burner setup, a teapot and a coffee pot, plenty of pots, pans, table wear, and a full-size fridge. They even provide olive oil, rice, butter, eggs, coffee, and an impressive selection of teas. So you can pretty much make a good filling breakfast out of just what you find in the kitchen. And we basically did just that. The only thing we picked up from a nearby store was an onion to add to our improvised fried rice and egg mix. The little store that has everything you need is just a short 1 minute walk away. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. A short 5-7 minute walk straight up the road will bring you right to the beach. The town is also very close, about a 10 minute walk and has lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, supermarkets, etc. The beach is very nice and family friendly. The waves aren’t very high, but enough for some beginner to intermediate surfing. Highly recommend staying here!
