Experience tranquility near Jordan Lake.

AVAILABLE NOW- finished remodeled basement. Additional queen bed, queen fold-out sofa and sitting area, full bath, and kitchenette. Has a separate entry with parking as well as stairs from the main floor. An additional $125 per night as an add-on option. The basement is not handicap as the first floor is. The basement will not be rented separately it is only available and an add-on to the main house if needed.

Grandma's House is far enough in the country to offer peacefulness, comfort, and a great place to relax, while being close enough to the city for all the shopping, dining and work-related activities. Enjoy the best of both worlds. Located in Moncure, which is the center of NC, this house is just 30 minutes from Raleigh, Chapel Hill, or Sanford. It is 50 minutes from Southern Pines, Greensboro or Fayetteville. Just 3 miles from Jordan Dam, there are multiple boat ramps just a short drive away. RALEIGH EXEC JETPORT is just 12 minutes away. Wedding venues are popular, with several being close by. The owners are very detail oriented and tried to think of everything you would need while providing this beautiful, clean and tranquil home away from home.

The house has been remodeled and most everything is brand new. It is kept very clean and offers open, bright and airy space., both indoors and out. Lots of added benefits such as Starlink WiFi, Designated Office, Whole House Water softener, and Whole House generator.

This property is within minutes of both The Bradford and the Shady Wagon Farm wedding venues. And be sure to reserve your space at the Carolina Tiger Rescue , just six miles from Grandma’s House. Also most guests love visiting downtown Pittsboro while here for a glimpse back at the old small town feel and atmosphere. Also, minutes from Jordan Lake Boat access.

Awesome Property

Grandma’s house is a beautiful home full of warmth character and comfort. We so enjoyed our stay we are looking forward to our next visit. The property was clean everywhere, comfortable and felt like being at home. Access was easy and in a great location. We came to spend time with our family but enjoyed every minute we were at the house. I have to also say the cabinets and furniture was incredible I wanted to load up the cabinets and take them home. Feeling blessed to have landed in such a great home. Thanks to the owners lived the house.

Clean and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay. This home is spacious and comfortable (especially the beds). It had everything we needed. The house is right on the main road (although it is set back from the street). The road noise wasn’t too bad, but it was there.

Beautiful home with excellent office to “work from home”. Well-appointed and super comfortable beds. My husband and I stayed with my 86-year-old father—accessible and easy for him to navigate. Enjoyed the shop tour also!

Cleanest property in 2 decades!

We have been vacation property renters for about two decades and this was the cleanest place I have stayed. Many of our reservations have disappointedly touted 5 stars for cleanliness and superhost accolades but this one met and exceeded our expectations!The property is meticulously well maintained, inside and out. It has some age on it and is not outfitted with the HGTV quartz countertops or sparking bathroom tile but it is clean. It is listed as a 3 bedroom however, instead, there are two bedrooms and an office with a large pull out futon which is described as a common area but provided more privacy than was expected.

From the moment we arrived at “Grandma’s House” we felt at home. Such a beautiful home, great attention to detail. The owners go above and beyond with so many extras ….from bathroom necessities to snacks in the kitchen this place is a gem! We will definitely book again ! Grandma’s

Five stars are not enough. This was my first time renting on VRBO and I had a wonderful experience. The home was just as pictured, but better. check/in and out was seamless. There was really good communication with the owner. The home was immaculate and very inviting. Idyllic setting but close to ammenities. I highly recommend this home.

Over The Hills & Through The Woods To Grandma's House We Go

This was the perfect place to stay! We traveled by car from New York State to attend a wedding. We arrived late at night and felt like we were welcomed with open arms as soon as we opened the door. The basket of snacks were thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay as we had limited time to stop at a grocery store. The home is truly beautiful with a perfect floorplan that is spacious and lovingly decorated. We were impressed by the craftmanship and all the available storage in each room. Learning this was the host's childhood home was a heartfelt story because it really did feel like a family home not just a house. We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting with well-manicured lawn, flower gardens, and carport that was welcomed on a rainy day. The home is located in the country with easy access to nearby Pittsboro and highways to commute to larger cities. We wish we could have stayed longer after the wedding to explore all there is to offer in the area. We look forward to returning for another visit in the future and would choose to stay at Grandma's House again. Next time, we would enjoy a tour of the workshop where much of the cabinetry and furniture in the home were made. Very impressive! Thank you for sharing Grandma's House with us.

All the comforts of home

The house is wonderfully comfortable, well stocked and perfectly located for everything we were needing to do. Came for a wedding in Pittsboro. Had a great time with friends and family. Close to the events, shops, restaurants and hiking trails.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great stay for a last minute weekend getaway. The house is wonderful. Really appreciated the craftsmanship of the house. Everything we needed and things we didn't think we needed were there. It was nice to already have their crate for our dog so we didn't have to set up our broken travel one we usually use. Good location out in the country but able to take some 10 - 20 minute day trips.

Great place to stay!

Beautiful home in a beautiful area! We booked at the last minute to escape Hurricane Milton. Thank you for letting us stay here! It was very relaxing in a very stressful time for us. We loved exploring Lake Jordan with our dog Tanner. An added bonus- it was close to Raleigh where our daughters live and work! A special mention to all the dog friendly amenities to make our Tanner feel welcome at your home (treat, bowls, crate, toys, etc). Thank you!

Excellent place to stay

High quality fit and finish through-out and clean like new. Would definitely use again. Much more spacious than pictures make it appear. Appears close to road but sets back very far and there is no traffic you can hear. Entrance is from rear making it feel secluded. We had 4 adults 40 to 70 and 4 boys 5 to 14 and never dealt cramped Alson had a labradoodle but were no odors of pets. Great place!

The house is newly remodeled and is open, bright with clean lines and is conveniently located in the middle of the state. There is a small airport about 5 miles from the house and Raleigh Durham airport is a 35 minute drive. Jordan Lake is beautiful anytime of the year and there are multiple boat ramps within a 5 minute drive. Wildlife is plentiful and come right up into the yard. This place is almost magical (at least we think so).
