This spacious 6-bedroom, 4-bath cabin features a brand new hot tub, fireplaces, game room, yard games, and a 75â TV for ultimate relaxation. Gather in the Great Room, enjoy outdoor dining on the porch, or unwind by the fire pit under the stars. Just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, and top wineries, itâs the perfect getaway for families, groups, and adventure seekers alike.
Welcome to Lonesome Flats, where history meets modern comfort in a home designed for gathering, relaxing, and reconnecting. From the moment you arrive, youâll step into a spacious family kitchenâthe heart of the homeâfully equipped for cooking, baking, and entertaining. With high-quality appliances, ample dinnerware, and everything you need to prepare and share meals, itâs the perfect space to bring everyone together. The adjacent dining area overlooks the back yard where youâll be greeted by daily visits from deer, rabbits, foxes, and more.
Step into the inviting Great Room, a cozy retreat where modern luxury meets rustic charm. A custom-built mantle frames the 70â electric fireplace, while a 75â TV creates a theater-like movie experience for winding down after a day of adventure. This space seamlessly blends the old with the new, showcasing the original exterior of the 1789 log cabinâa testament to the propertyâs rich history. Inside the cabin, a custom-built game table invites you to challenge family and friends, while the cozy sitting loft upstairs is perfect for curling up with a glass of wine or your favorite book. In cooler months, the propane fireplace keeps the cabin warm and invitingâjust be sure to close the door when not in use!
On the other side of the home, the primary suite offers a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom, creating a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. Upstairs, the Red, Green, and Blue Bedrooms each feature a king or queen bed along with a desk and chairâperfect for blending work and leisure. Downstairs, the entertainment-packed basement features another king bed, two twin beds, and oversized games like Connect Four and Jenga. Youâll also find additional workspace options, making it easy to stay connected when needed. For added convenience, many of the bedrooms come equipped with their own TVs.

A vehicle will be required to reach nearby attractions. The property can easily accommodate up to five vehicles in the driveway.

Once your booking is confirmed, you`ll receive a comprehensive property guide highlighting the areaâs best wineries, hiking trails, restaurants, and outdoor adventures. It also includes detailed property information and FAQs to help you prepare for and enjoy your stay to the fullest.
PETS
We love hosting your furry companions and welcome up to three dogs. Please include them in your reservation and a pet fee will automatically be included in your reservation total. Additional dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to additional fees to compensate for potential extra wear and tear at the property and additional cleaning regimens that we undertake. Note that emotional support animals (ESAs) are designated as pets and subject to these fees and other pet policies. Service animals are always welcome, but please let us know about them in advance so we can let our cleaning team know.
FAMILY FRIENDLY AMENITIES
We offer two pack n`play cribs and two full-sized freestanding highchair for families traveling with young ones. Additional pack n` plays and/or high chairs may be available with advance notice.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
The property is served by a well cared for gravel road and driveway of about 500 feet. Most of the year, 2WD vehicles can access the property without issue. However, during snow or icy conditions, 4WD or AWD may be recommended or required. We will notify you in advance if winter or severe weather is expected, offering guidance on safe access. Full refunds are typically only provided if the property is inaccessible for more than 24 hours by 4WD or AWD vehicles.
GUEST SAFETY & WELLNESS
Your safety and well-being are our top priority. All bedding, including sheets, quilts, and blankets, is washed between reservations. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed in all bedrooms, and fire extinguishers are available throughout the property.
The area is surrounded by wildlife - you will regularly see deer, rabbits, and even our local pair of Eastern Box turtles that call the mulch beds home. While inside of the property rarely hosts critters of its own, the occasional bug or tiny creature may make a visit! Just let us know if anything is out of the ordinary.
In the spring and summer months, lots of turtles and other wildlife cross the road often, so please proceed slowly!
UPDATES & EXTERIOR PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
We occasionally make updates to the property in an effort to add new amenities and ensure that we always offer safe and comfortable accommodations. As a result, furniture may occasionally differ from what is featured. During your stay, our landscaping and/or hot tub care team may service the property - we usually give you advance notice and these teams do not need to access the inside of the property.
