Lovely cottage on the banks of Hickory Creek - just minutes from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure! Roast marshmallows over the firepit or cook a gourmet feast in the well-appointed kitchen. Dip your toes in the cool mountain stream after a day exploring all that that Western North Carolina has to offer. Spring and Summer are so lovely in the mountains, with cool breezes and beautiful blooms.

The rocking chairs on the front porch give you an excellent view of our beautiful creek. Open the windows to enjoy the sounds of the water and the cool mountain breeze. Go “creek walking” and try to identify the wildflowers blooming on the banks. Enjoy the antics of our resident groundhogs and minks, and don’t be surprised if you spot a bear! In the evening, relax in the hot tub and gaze at the stars.

My family has lived in Henderson County for more than 20 years and we are still amazed at the beauty surrounding us and the myriad things to do, no matter the season. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure have cute shops, restaurants and wonderful hiking and boating. Don’t miss the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge! Venture in towards Hendersonville and visit an apple orchard or one of our 7 (at last count!) wineries. Downtown Hendersonville is home to a charming Main Street district with a children’s museum, pinball arcade, breweries, restaurants and shops. Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, Travelers Rest, SC and Greenville, SC are other close-by spots worth visiting.
