Bettyâs Place has been in the family for 75 years. My parents bought the original three-room house in 1948 and added the living room and bedroom wing in 1955. My mom lived in the home for 74 years until she passed away in early 2022 at the age of 98. In late 2022, my wife and I purchased the house that I grew up in from my two brothers. We have spent a year working on the house to share this unique property with folks like yourselves. We hope you will enjoy this property, treating it as your own during your stay, as we try to preserve this gem for generations to come.

This house is conveniently located 0.5 miles from lovely downtown Waynesville, North Carolina on a secluded wooded 2.2-acre lot. There is plenty of parking which also includes a covered carport and additional back driveway into the property. The outdoor patios are a wonderful place to relax, grill and eat meals while enjoying the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is also a firepit for the cool evening! This home is perfect for entertaining with family and friends.

We have tried to update the house with modern conveniences while preserving the unique style of the original home. It is very tastefully decorated with some new and vintage pieces. The rock work on the fireplace, the polished brick flooring in the downstairs bedrooms and the hardwood flooring and ceiling throughout the house are absolutely spectacular. I can honestly say there is not another home like this one.
