Looking for a breezy beach retreat? Pack up and head to WhiteSands South, a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom beach rental for up to 8 guests in Gulf Shores, Alabama. WhiteSands South is a lovely duplex where you can unwind and cool off after a day of sun, sand, and surf. At the duplex, enjoy the dune and partial ocean views as you have your morning coffee or an evening drink on the front porch.

For breakfast, use the newly updated kitchen that features bright white appliances, lovely countertops, and a Keurig coffeemaker. For meals, sit down at the beachy table for 6. Later, get comfortable on the sectional sofa, chat in the matching armchairs, or read with the tabletop lamp. There is a flatscreen TV mounted on the wall, and you can log into Netflix to watch shows or movies.

Have a fun family game night with board games in the beach house, take advantage of wireless internet, and wash beach towels and swimsuits with the washer/dryer here. Outside amenities include a charcoal grill for grilling up fresh-caught fish, easy parking below the duplex, and a short walk – only about 4 minutes – to the beach! After a long day, climb into bed for some well-deserved rest. Bedding includes 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, and 1 twin bunk.

Awesome Place

My friends and I have stayed here two years in a row. This house is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach, without being crowded by close neighbors. It is always clean, spacious, and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Winter getaway.

The Whitesands South was comfortable and clean. Had to clean the bbq pit befote using it. Short walk to the beach. The weather wasn't the best the first two weeks of February but ok afterwards. Martha was wonderful and chrck in and out were easy.

Nice place but hard on the dog’s paws

This property is nice as far as clean and comfortable. It reminds me more of a cabin than a beach house. Kitchen is nice. Beds comfortable. Carpet looks old and simple things like broken blinds and dead light bulbs should be fixed. The outdoor landscape needs to be cut back some. It just needs some love on the outside. Unfortunately we had to move after 2 nights because the sand spurs were literally everywhere and our dogs were miserable even walking on the road. It was hard to find a place for the dogs to use the restroom without getting these spurs in their paws.

Nice house

The interior design of the house is nice. Just had a few issues. Washer and dryer need to be updated. Had issues with both. Ice maker doesnt work, although there were 6 ice trays in the freezer. There needs to be more gravel added to the drive up onto the concrete under the house. There's about a 2-3 inch gap. A small sedan might have issues. Although i did not in my jeep. Housekeeping had not touched the house upon our arrival. Dirty linens on every bed. Cabins For You had them sent the next morning about 11:30 and resolved the issue. Unfortunately we missed a day at the beach due to housekeeping. Facing the house to the left where there aren't any dunes or sand, the landscaping was quite overgrown. If taking a pet i strongly suggest keeping pets in the front on gravel and off the grass due to multiple sand spurs. Would be nice if the tall pine tree by the deck could be trimmed down a bit since it blocks the view of the ocean. Also suggest there be a reflector or more noticeable sign showing the gravel road the house is on. Very easy to miss since there is NOT a street sign. And even more so at night. Would be nice if a small boardwalk were added for access to the beach. There was a very narrow path with stickers and tall grass through the dune to get to the beach. We enjoyed the seclusion of the home. And it was nice no one was staying in the duplex next door.

Nice location

We enjoyed our stay. The location was a short walk to the beach. The house had a fully stock kitchen. The house had 3 bedrooms and not 4. The bathrooms were a nice size and had plenty of towels for our family. The area was nice and would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful!!

It was exactly as advertised. The house was very clean and stocked with everything needed. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, close to the beach, clean house.

Family Vacation

My mother in law me my husband and our 4 kids stayed from 7/2 to 7/7. It was a beautiful house with lots of room. It was well stocked for the most part with everything needed. Only a short 4-5 min walk to the beach, which was nice gravel most of the way and nice neighbors along the way. Beach was beautiful and not very crowded so we could spread out and enjoy our family and music. Getting back into town is a stretch but we’ll worth it for the more private beaches. Will definitely stay again

Wondering quite location for a family with kids of all ages!

Great location if you are traveling with kids of all ages. House is clean, well equipped with silverware, dishes, towels, and blankets. Beach is just a short walk away, I’d say about 4-6 minutes, you can see it from the patio. Some of my favorites about this property is that its a family friendly location, beach is a lot less crowded than in town, it’s pet friendly but still clean, and spacious enough for a big family. My NOT so favorite things are the drive down to fort Morgan and the walk to the dumpster. Definitely suggest stocking up at Walmart before heading their but the dollar general down the road is lifesaver if you forget something. The dumpster is not to far either we just loaded the trash bags into the wagon (which they already had) and hauled it down to the end of the road and just rinsed off the wagon with the water hose before we used it to carry our stuff to the beach.

Fun in the Sun….wonderful place!!

Our family had a wonderful time in this awesome beach house! The house is so clean and beautiful; with plenty of room. The washer and dryer were so handy to keep everything washed and ready. The gulf water was perfect and the beach was great….not crowded and like having a private beach. The property manager, Martha, was extremely nice and helpful. We hope to come visit again!

Nice, less crowded beach

We enjoyed time with family on the beach. If you have a dog to walk, look out for cockleburs (this was 2nd week of August); painful to dog and to us trying to get them out of his fur!

Perfect Beach Vacation

We stayed at the beach duplex for five days and had a great time! It was the perfect place and location, just a short stroll to the beach. There was plenty of room, including a nice sized kitchen and patio. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location and Property!

Perfect size house for a group of four adults. The design is fun and offers a more than decent view of the water from the porch. The walk to the beach is around 5 minutes - not bad at all. Very quiet street, highly recommended if you're more on the "wanna get away" side of vacation. Martha was very nice as well - great experience overall.

Clean and roomy

Our first family beach vacation and first VRBO rental and both went great! The Sea Dunes South was the perfect size for our family of 6. The property was very clean and only about a football field away from the beach/ocean.

Vacation stay

The property worked out great for us. The walk to the beach was even shorter than I expected. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for cleanliness was that the bunkroom beds had not been made from the previous stay. We didn't use that room anyway so it wasn't a big deal to us.
