TÀmÀ kauniilla neljÀn vuodenajan hirsimökki on rakennettu pari tai pienen perheen talvi- ja kesÀpakoksi. Sivusto on erittÀin yksityinen hyvin villissÀ ja luonnonkauniissa ympÀristössÀ kuuluisalla Chippewa Flowagella ... vain 17 mailin pÀÀssÀ Haywardista. 'Flowage' on 17 000 hehtaarin suuruinen jÀrvi, jossa on satoja saaria ja 200 mailia 95-prosenttisesti kehittymÀtöntÀ jÀrvenrantaa. Se on yksi kuuluisimmista erÀmaajÀrvistÀ Pohjois-Wisconsinissa ja Hayward-jÀrvien alueella. Koti tekee upeasta neljÀn vuodenajan perÀÀntyÀ ... erittÀin yksityinen ... upeat ja yksityiset nÀkymÀt vesille!

Adirondack-tyylisessÀ hirsimökissÀ on suuri 60 hehtaarin suuruinen lohko, jossa on runsaasti jÀrven julkisivua, hyvin yksityisessÀ metsÀssÀ. KodinÀkymÀt ovat 100% luonnollisia ... ei mitÀÀn muuta kuin puita ja kehittymÀtöntÀ rantaviivaa !!! Suuren nÀytön kuistilta on upeat nÀkymÀt jÀrvelle, mikÀ tekee illallisista nÀyttÀmÀÀn ulkona ... jÀrven puolella oleva palokammio ja tuolit luovat loistavan paikan pohdintaa tai soiden vaahtopaisteita varten. 3/4 mailin yksityinen metsÀinen polku on vuorattu valtaisilla mÀntyillÀ ja sopii erinomaisesti hiljaisille kÀvelylle ... keittiö-suuri huone on sisustettu klassisella pohjoispuiden sisustuksella, jossa on paljon kÀsintehtyjÀ maalaismaisia huonekaluja. Koti sijaitsee Koillis-nurkassa erittÀin kuuluisalla ja villillÀ Chippewa Flowagella. We enjoyed our long Labor Day retreat at Fred & Sue's cabin. The north woods cabin is beautiful and reflects that it was built with love and skill by the owners. It's a true get away!

The winter-to-spring transition was happening. Exceptional sunlight across river ice and that bracing smell of melting snow. River otters were playing. And eagles were prospecting nest sites. Didn't see another person while we were there.

Great little Cabin

Great little Cabin in the middle of the Woods. If you are looking for some peace and relaxation, this is the place. We loved the screened porch because the Mosquitoes were really bad when we got there !!! Our 2 dogs were in heaven, seeing & barking at all the different Wildlife. Fred is a great and generous Host, who will help you with all of your needs & questions. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your great cabin. Mark & Chris and the 2 dogs

Perfect Cabin

Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Great solitude and a breathtaking view from the cabin & dock. Our only regret was not asking the owners for some fishing spots because we didn't catch much. Our fault! Thanks Fred & Sue. Tried to leave the cabin as clean as we found it, hope we didn't let you down! We will be back but next time with a fishing guide.

Gorgeous & Breathtaking

We have had the pleasure to experience this beautiful home multiple times! I can’t explain enough how amazing it is. We drive specifically from the burbs of Chicago to come here. There are so many attributes- the stunning cabin, the amazing lawn & yard (It is fun chopping wood!!!), kayaking, making s’mores on the pit, fishing at the break of dawn, reading on deck, the sunset, the quiet. ;) Fred has been the best each and every time! And We Thank you Dearly!!!

Wonderful cabin

What a great experience! The cabin was rustic but immaculate...simple but with everything needed. We had a great time as a family disconnecting and spending time together. What a treasure! Lastly, I found the photos be a highly accurate representation of what to expect. Note the other structure in the photos is a small storage building. I wondered if it was the owners residence when I first saw it, but it was not. Tons of privacy.

Relaxing cabin to get away from it all!

We enjoyed relaxing by the lake, having a fire, reading in the hammock on the porch, and dinner on the porch. It was a little bit creepy sleeping at night as our dogs woke us up quite a bit as they must have heard things. I snuck down stairs to turn the light on quick and found rodents scurrying across the floor and counters. So the dogs knew they were there and letting us know there were rodents in the house. I advise to keep food in fridge and cooler to keep the rodents and ants out. Other than that, it was a pleasant place to stay and a great location on the flowage. Perfect weather the weekend we went.

The Essence of White Magic

This was a winter retreat for our 26th anniversary with our 2 dogs. It was really a beautiful experience. The cabin is perfect for small groups ( large room with 3 large beds. The screened in porch and back porch were amazing and I can imagine how beautiful it is in summer and fall. We got snowshoes which was perfect. The flowage is lowered in winter so the side of banks are safe to snowshoe or cross country ski on ( we did both) Each night we marched out to a certain spot where a larger root/ driftwood was exposed with the lowering of the water. It was a great bench to watch the sunset. Deer would come out everywhere
 the white terrain was magic to our soul. Our dogs were in heaven. Thank you for sharing your craft and lil slice of magic!!!

Nice Place

Nice little get away. If the weather was better and fish were biting, it would have been a wonderful time. The cabin is nice, very clean and inviting, great screened in porch and back deck. It is obvious the owner has put a lot of love into this cabin as can be see with the unique, little details throughout . However, on our first two nights, the neighbors were quite loud so we didn't even bother with a camp fire as we would have just spent the time listening to the loud voices and swearing. Disappointed that there were neighbors close enough to have an influence on our time since the description makes it sound as though this property is 100% secluded. We also found the beds to be creaky and uncomfortable so sleeping for us was poor. The property and scenery is gorgeous with wildlife coming literally right up to the door - as I was surprised by a deer early one morning having hostas for breakfast. Classic Wisconsin Northwoods experience.

Idyllic Cabin Retreat

My husband, dog an I spent New Years at this picturesque cabin. It’s like what is in the pictures but better. Practically everything in this place is bespoke. It’s got all the amenities you’ll need for a north woods getaway. The space makes you want to cozy up and relax around the fire. Truly a special place. A note about bringing a pet: no dogs allowed on furniture or beds. If you have a dog who you know won’t follow that rule, be prepared to pack a lot of covers and blankets. Fred was very responsive to all my questions, especially impressive during the busy holiday season. A suggestion to Fred would be to please confirm with the renter that it’s okay to bring a large dog before the window to get a full refund closes. I was a little panicked when I got the check in email asking to confirm that we were bringing a dog 3 days before the trip. It all worked out in the end, but I think would be helpful to reduce unnecessary stress for the renter. If you’re on the fence about booking this cabin, I’m telling you
 book it. You won’t regret it. My husband and I are already talking about coming back next year.

Simple slice of heaven

Very simple place. Owner built the cabin and much of the furniture. Beautiful setting, easy access to trails, nature and walking out the door. Can’t count on WiFi, but that turned out to make for a better experience.

Nice place but don't go for the trail

Received an email 4-5 days before the trip from the owner asking how many dogs we had (we were bringing 3.) This seemed to cause some discomfort although when I booked I never saw an area where we were supposed to enter the number of dogs. Not sure if Vrbo offers to enter that information and it's entirely possible that I missed the area where you enter number of dogs. Owner was very concerned about dog hair which seems more logical, in that case, to not allow dogs because they all have hair. We were most attracted to the trail offered on the property and found out at that 4-5 days before point that the trail was not available to us. So we had to drive 20 minutes each day to find a place to run the dogs. Again, I could have missed that info at the time of booking but I didn't see it anywhere prior to booking. Property had nice views, cabin was nice an clean. WiFi connection is unsecured so proceed with caution if you want to use WiFi. I would say this rental would be great if you were going with no dogs and a couple guys to fish and relax. Owner communicated when needed. I wouldn't choose this property if you were going for hiking and exercise as you will have to drive somewhere that is public property.
