Quiets hours - 9 AM and 9 PM. Dinner parties are allowed; general parties are not. We need to be respectful to neighbors in the complex.
All guests must be listed/registered. No overnight guests are allowed who are not on the guest list.
For visits 3 weeks+ we require cleaning (guest pay) during the middle of the visit, organized at the guests convenience with the Housekeeping staff.

The location of this condo could not have been more perfect. We loved listening to the sound of the waves and watching the morning sunrise. The unit was was clean, comfortable, and very well supplied with anything we could possibly need. Were especially happy that there was air conditioning and really appreciated the bikes.

Family friendly oasis

The location of this condo in the complex and on the island was ideal. We loved having an ocean view and the walking and biking trail right out our door. And the condo is fully stocked with everything you could need.

Great and Peaceful vacation

Listen to the ocean waves. Beach is footsteps away. Walk to quaint Kapaa shops and taco trucks, restaurants. Located perfectly between North Shore and Waimea. This condo is stocked with spices, and needed items, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, etc... Great Stay.

Great Stay

The location of the condo was perfect, I loved having the ocean view from our patio and bedroom window. They also provided beach chairs and toys to use on the beach which was great. The kitchen also had everything we needed for cooking and making coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in many condos over the years on all the islands and I have to say that this is by far the best one yet. Very comfortable furniture and beds...fantastic views...the best stocked kitchen yet....spices utensils..and pots. Within walking distance to Kapaa downtown...great pool area with a spa to boot...we had a small problem early on and we contacted Renee at 9:00 and by 10:30 the issue had been resolved....I highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again...absolutely 5 stars

Second Time Even Better

This was our 2nd time staying in this condo and it was even better than the first. It is within walking distance of lots of food options and centrally located for trips to either side of Kauai. The condo is a delight and well appointed and didn't want for anything.

Great Stay in Kapa'a

This is a wonderfully updated and well appointed condo in a great location on the island. The unit was more than accommodating for me, my wife and two teens. Wonderful ocean view directly from the unit. The unit's location is walkable to a number of shops and eateries in Kapa'a (or a very short drive). Grocery locations are also close by for provisions. We had a number of excursions booked for both the Southern and Northern parts of the island, so Kapa'a did not disappoint as a centralized location of sorts to serve as a home base. And don't sleep on Kapa'a itself as it has great eco tourism activities like kayaking and hiking. We would not hesitate to stay here again and I hope we get the opportunity to do so!

Great stay in Kauai

This condo was a great space for our first trip to Hawaii. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers) each had our own beds and space. The master bedroom and bath is very spacious. The beds were comfortable. The condo is very beautifully updated and well appointed with all of the cooking utensils needed for cooking meals. It was so nice and generous of the owners to allow use of their bikes. We enjoyed riding them down the path and to the beaches a few times on our trip. The condo was very clean and the A/C was a nice cool down from the heat. The location was a great middle point of the island and places we explored while there. The lanai was so peaceful to sit out on for dinner in the evenings. We had a check in delay due to issues with the door code not working but it was remedied by the owner and local contact in a reasonable time frame. Thanks Lena and Ivan for sharing your place with others. We loved Kauai and can't wait to come back!

This condo is perfect. There were beach chairs/umbrellas, beach stuff (boards/snorkels/masks/floats/towels), and a cooler for use. I would definitely stop and check before buying anything for your stay. The beach is right there and you can watch the sunrise from bed. We won't be back because there is too much of this world to explore, but you should stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Our flight landed early and we asked if we could just drop our luggage off then come back at check in time and were told no, which was fine. But the day we were to check out, the on site manager just comes barging in the front door before check out. There are then two women with their luggage standing at the back door and the manager lets them in the back door. This is all happening before we were supposed to check out and the place hadnt event been cleaned because we hadnt left yet but she is escorting these women on top of us while we are trying to get out. It was very rude. I also texted the manager becsuse the smoke detector went off at 5:45 in the morning and she didnt respond or come make sure it was working properly. The condo is nice and the host was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful!!!!

This is one of our best vacations ever. We absolutely love the location, the unit, and everything about this beautiful island. We highly recommend Pono Kai and particularly this condo to anyone not just for how perfect the location is, but for the condo itself. Beautiful, well appointed, super comfortable bed…. Lena's condo was exactly as advertised and had absolutely everything we needed and more. She has really thought of everything. The convenience of the ground floor unit was wonderful and extended the living space. the proximity to the grounds many amenities and beach were perfect (and watching sunrise each morning was lovely). Lena was very responsive to our questions and provided step by step information for when we arrived, what to expect and how to go about things. The use of the bikes were a wonderful bonus and we used them several times on the path. We would absolutely stay in this condo and at Pono Kai again.

Beautiful condo, right on the ocean in Kapaa

Absolutely beautiful condo. The owners did a fantastic job decorating!!! Ground floor, just steps to the ocean. So many shops and restaurants to walk to, and the bike path right in front. The owners outdid themselves with stocking the unit with so many wonderful extras. You felt the essence of aloha as soon as you entered. Only 2 things would have made it 110%, did not state that the washer and dryer were coin operated, and around the corner from the unit. And would have liked the guest room to have a queen size bed instead of a full. With 2 grown adults sharing is a bit tight. We used the sofa bed, which was very comfortable! Would stay here again!

Kauai adventure trip

This was a great unit in Kapa'a. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the ocean view from the living room and the easy access to the beach to watch the sunrise. Each room had its own air cooling system which was nice - we could choose what comfortably cool meant for each of us. The laundry room is not far from the unit, so doing some laundry wasn't a big endeavor when I had a couple loads to do (machines takes quarters, about 1.50/load)We did a lot of sightseeing and hiking, so we didn't use the bikes provided or spend much time in the pool. The hot tub was a nice place to socialize. BBQ's are located in different areas, so that was handy - we didn't have to wait for a BBQ at all. We have been to various places in Hawaii and have always had little bugs to deal with - but not here. Unit was bug-free and reasonably clean. It is a well-used unit, but overall a great place to stay that was central location for all our day-trips. Thankful for the provided coolers and beach chairs!Any questions we had were promptly answered and we'd be happy to stay here again.

Fantastic View

My fiancé and I came to Hawaii for our wedding. The sun rises in the morning were breathtaking from the lanai. The pictures do not do it justice when it says it is right on the beach. The condo had everything you could possibly want or need for a great stay in Hawaii. The location is centralized for convenience of traveling north or south on the island. It is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The only complaint I have is that the bed in the master bedroom is not very comfortable. We ended up purchasing a memory foam mattress topper while we were there to help provide some comfort. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and would definitely come back.

Perfection!

We really enjoyed staying here! We brought our two young boys and the accommodations were great. There isn’t any central AC but the two portable AC units were wonderful to use in the bedrooms during sleeping times. The floor fans were also really nice to have to help keep the air circulating along with the ceiling fans. The kitchen had everything we needed which was wonderful as we have some food sensitivities among us so being able to cook at home was great. Great location and walking distance to some great places to eat including our favorite shave ice spot!! Just a walk through the grass to the beach which we took advantage of (with caution since it was a bit rough and there is no lifeguard) but it was perfect for a couple fun hours before other adventures. There were beach chairs, an umbrella, body boards, and a nice size cooler for taking to the beach which was AWESOME! We left a bag of beach toys too so if anyone else stays with kids, those will be there! Staying here really made our stay wonderful and Aleta was very nice to communicate and work with. We would DEFINITELY recommend staying here. Oh, and the master bed was really comfortable and the walk in shower was another great amenity!

Our favorite part of each day was having our coffee on the lanai & watching the sun rise every morning. We could easily walk right over to the beach or down the path to many shops and restaurants.The condo was well equipped with everything we needed & very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a perfect location to all shopping and easy accessor mid way point through out the island.Our only complaint was the pool and hot tub are down for repair. It was down the entire stay.

Lena & Ivan live in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where we enjoy skiing, biking, fishing and all the wonderful out-of-doors activities Colorado has to offer. We love our Kauai get away, as the winters are very long and cold in Steamboat - so we are now officially "Snowbirds". Kauai is our winter home; we first came in 2019 and loved it right away. We love outside activities and Kauai has tons to offer.

Why Kapaa Town? The first time we went to Kauai, we stayed in Kapaa, a little beach town on the East side of Kauai. It was perfect. It is centrally located, so you can head any direction, and get there quickly. It has lots of shopping, wonderful restaurants, and it is perfectly quaint.

Pono Kai has so much to offer. With a pool, hot tub, tennis courts, boche, croquet putting greens. We love the walking trail right out our Lanai door. And don't forget about the beach and ocean that you can hear and see from the Lanai. It doesn't get any better than that.
