Upea Lakefront Berkshire Rental, Lake Garfield

Ota pois kaikki kauniissa Berkshire Lakefront metsäinen perääntyä. Uida, kanootti, kajakki, ottaa aurinkoa, pelata tennistä päivällä, sitten nauttia illan lyhyen ajomatkan päässä Tanglewoodissa, Jacobs Tyyny, tai ehkä mennä elokuviin Great Barrington. Voit nauttia illallisen Red Lion Inn, tai jokin upea ravintoloita, tai on se kotona kuin katsella auringonlaskua yli järven.

Tämä yksityinen, nykyaikaistettu (peruskorjaus valmistui 2018-19), 5 makuuhuoneen mökki koostuu kahdesta kerroksesta. Yläkerrassa on keittiö (sisältää astianpesukone), iso suuri huone ruokailutila ja olohuone, jossa beamed katedraalin katto, kattoikkunat, dramaattinen takka, ja viihde alue laajakuvatelevisio. Ruokapöydän paikkaa kahdeksan ja näkymät järvelle. Siirtokeittiö "saari" mahtuu vielä neljäksi. Seulotaan kuisti näköala järvelle ulottuu pois ruokailutila. Avoin kuisti näköala järvelle ulottuu pois olohuone. Makuuhuoneessa on king-vuode ja yksi täysi kylpyamme. Alakerrassa on kolme makuuhuonetta (kaksi queen-vuodetta, joista toisessa yksi parivuode). Neljäs makuuhuoneessa on kaksi erillistä vuodetta. Kylpyhuone ja kodinhoitohuone, jossa pesukone ja kuivausrumpu ovat tässä kerroksessa. Keski-makuuhuoneessa on suuret liukulasiovet, jotka avautuvat suurelle patioalueelle, jossa on puutarha, nurmikon tuolit, tulipalo ja kaksi piknik-pöytää. Neljä poltinta Napoleon-kaasugrilli näkymät patiolle, josta on helppo pääsy keittiöön.

Lennon puoli vaiheet (rakennettu herrasmies, joka oli juuri ollut tekonivelleikkausta) johtaa telakka ja järvi. Kaksi kanoottia ja kaksi kajakkeja mukana tämän vuokra. Järvi Karvinen hoidetaan rikkakasvien torjuntaan (vesi lasketaan joka talvi tappaa rikkaruohot) niin vesi on yksi selkeimmistä Massachusettsissa.

Beautiful Berkshires Lakeside Home

This is our second time renting this beautiful, Berkshires, lakeside home.The attention to details for entertainment and relaxing inside and out is superb. Lake Garfield is pn the property. It is very clean, refreshing , not too populated and so accessible for swimming and all types of floating snd boating.

Lovely stay on Lake Garfield

Perfect lake house! Great location, plenty of rooms, lots of outdoor sitting spaces. Owners very responsive to any and all inquiries. We had such a nice stay...beds were comfortable. Loved being right on the lake. Brought our own board games (couldn't find any in the house)...Our cell phones did not get reception...other than that...pretty perfect!!

Third year at this great lake house

This was our third year staying at this beautiful lake house. The kitchen is fully stocked, the living room and enclosed porch have an amazing view of the lake. The private dock too is fully stocked with boats, paddle boards and floaties. The location is perfect, easy to get to Tanglewood, hiking trails, Great Barrington and many other towns in the Berkshires. We are already looking forward to coming back next summer

Lake Garfield Haven

This house was a holiday to stay in, lake views, every amenity, boats, cooking supplies and beautiful landscaping that blended in with the Berkshires forest. The location is ideal for visits to The Clark, Chesterwood, Norman Rockwell Museum, Tanglewood and restaurants in Great Barrington along with the myriad of local hiking trails like at the Bidwell House. Sunsets and moon watching, kayaking and swimming from the dock made staying on the property all you need for a wonderful, restorative and fun vacation.

Relaxing get away

We were looking for a place where we could spend a relaxing time with our adult children who live across the country and the world. We found it here! What a perfect place to spend time together. We appreciated the great indoor and outdoor gathering spaces- so comfy! We kayaked and canoed daily, cooked meals together in the well stocked kitchen and slept well in the quiet. Everyone loved it and we hope to return again.

Second year at this beautiful property

This is the second year we stayed at this amazing property. The house is well designed with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room with great seating, and screened in porch overlooking the lake. Getting into the house was easy and it was very clean when we arrived. Easy access down to a dock on a beautiful lake well stocked with boats and floaties. The location is perfect, close to hiking spots, Great Barrington and other towns in the Berkshires. The owner is extremely responsive. We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back.

Something for Everyone

On Lake Garfield we learned the 1 1/2 yr old loves boats. He sat calm and content in the canoe and the sit-upon kayak, even in a tight life-jacket. His 2-yr-old cousin, not so much. Swimming was her jam. Every family member found something to love about the house. The cozy bedrooms, the garden patio, the game closet, the well-equipped kitchen. The house had comfortable spots for conversations heavy or light. The location near Great Barrington is convenient, and hikers can easily get to the AT on Main Road. Highly recommended.

Wonderful property on Lake Garfield

We loved our stay at this property. The house is in excellent condition, fully stocked kitchen, screened in porch, master bedroom with king size bed on the first floor, and comfortable rooms for guests on the lower level. Best of all beautiful views of the lake from the house. And an easy walk to the private dock with plenty of boats and floats. Ann was an excellent host and responded quickly to all of our questions. Also, convenient location, easy to get to Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lee and Lenox.

A wonderful cottage in the Berkshires, with a view to kill

This cottage will more than meet any expectations you might have for a vacation. We were there for 3 weeks and I can not think of anything that could be improved on. Perfect getaway

The lake house was exactly what we were looking for. Very comfortable, nicely decorated, fully stocked with anything and everything we needed. Nice access to the lake and a large dock for the water toys and a place to tie our boat. Very relaxing week of swimming, boating, eating and fishing. We have rented quite a few lake houses but this was the best.

Perfect Lakefront Getaway in the Berkshires

Our family spent 1 week in this beautiful home and absolutely fell in love with Lake Garfield. You can’t beat the mountain views from the kayaks, plus the water is crystal clear and comfortably warm for swimming during the summer. Plenty of boats and floats for everyone. Fishing off the dock was great – be sure to bring some worms. We spent countless hours out there catching bass, bluegill, perch, and a pickerel. Beds were all comfortable. Wifi worked well. Cell phone service was fine. Quick 15 drive into town for groceries and restaurants. We took a day trip to Catamount Aerial Adventure Park for some ziplining and treetop challenges. Highly recommended for adventure seekers. Honestly, this was one of the best vacations we’ve had in a while. Super relaxing. Lots of great memories. We didn’t run into any issues at the house and look forward to returning to beautiful Lake Garfield. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This house has it all!

We've stayed at this property 3 years ago and really enjoyed it. But now it's even more spectacular with recent renovations! This is not just a cabin on a lake but a true resort! It is bright and sunny with phenomenal views of the lake and sunsets. The house is stylishly decorated and has all the cooking/dishes /glasses you would need and stocked with all the basic necessities - linens, towels, dish soap, baggies etc. There are plenty of different seating areas to stare at the flowers and lake. The lake itself is crystal clear and stocked with a variety of fish including largemouth bass, pickerel, rock bass, pumpkin seed and blue gill to keep you catching all day. Plenty of canoes, kayaks and floats. The nice size dock gets sun ALL day and you get beautiful sunsets!

Relaxing and Beautiful

We loved our stay this summer! My family and I stayed for a week, My family = me , my husband, 3 sons (23, 19 and 17) and our 2 dogs. The house itself is in a gorgeous location. The lake and woods, and up on a hill provides a magnificent view. My boys fished off the dock and in the provided kayak and row boat day and night. I wouldn't say there an abundance of fish, but the fish caught (and released) were good ones (bass). The house was stocked with everything needed. Towels, kitchenware, condiments, firewood. There were so many relaxing areas in and outside the house, spacious living room, beautiful screened in porch and unscreened porch, picnic tables, around the fire pit and 2 level dock to name some! There were endless dirt roads to walk our dogs which we took advantage of twice a day. I have to say I had a love/hate relationship with the steep hilled driveway. It was great exercise walking up it, but was tough walking up it! The house was recently renovated and was quite impressive. Loved living there for a week and got some great renovation ideas for myself! If I had to find one negative about our stay, I would say it was the boat traffic on the lake. There isn't a trolling rule, so there were boats going quite fast and causing heavy wake waves. It was hard to navigate on a row boat, kayak and paddle board. Just a heads up to be careful and to bring/use flotation wear , which is a rule of the house. Thank you to Ann and her family for sharing your beautiful home. We would love to stay again next summer!!

Ideal location

This cottage is comfortable and has all the modern conveniences one could want. There is an incomparable view of Lake Garfield and direct, private access to it where one can swim or boat. The owners are lovely. What more can I say than that our family has rented this cottage every summer since 1994.

Ideal Family Getaway!

We can't imagine a more accommodating vacation lake house than our stay on Lake Garfield in Monterey, MA. Everything you could imagine needing was available; canoes, kayaks, floats, etc. The views are majestic and though there are lots of steps down to the dock, they are half steps easily managed by young children. Perfect place for the whole family. Hope to return again.

Lakehouse Retreat

Home was comfortable with 6 adults and 2 young kids. Upstairs master bedroom was air conditioned, balance of house is not - but even on hottest days, not really a problem. Downstairs always cool at night and didn't seem musty. Great fishing off the dock and access to lake is as easy as it gets. Ample gear for canoeing and kayaking. A bit in the woods - but mosquitoes did not seem to be a problem. Dry weather probably. Many options to sit and enjoy the wonderful view. Beach nearby for kid swimming and house stocked with kid friendly items. Owners were very responsive throughout the process. Traveling to Great Barrington and Lee easy. House was well stocked and clean. Kitchen easy to navigate. Would certainly return.

A Treasure in the Berkshires!

We enjoyed our stay immensely at this lovely home in Monterey,Ma. on Lake Garfield. The owner seemed to think of everything possible to help us fully enjoy our vacation. This home had an abundance of useful appliances in the kitchen and we also enjoyed the spacious dining room and living room. The home was spotless and well stocked. The screened in porch was great as was the outside porch. The sunset over the lake was breathtaking and we enjoyed canoeing on the lake and also the fishing and swimming. We also enjoyed the landscaping and beautiful plants and flowers on the property. As you can see, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home and are looking forward to returning!

Perfection!

When we arrived for a week on Lake Garfield in Monterey, MA, we were welcomed to a spotlessly clean, well stocked home with beautiful fresh greenery in vases! The views of the lake and sunset were spectacular! A bald eagle stopped by daily to perch in a tree while scanning the lake for food. What a wonderful sight! The yard and patio were beautiful. The dock was well supplied with water "toys" and room for our 16' Bass Tracker. When our niece came to visit and forgot a life jacket for her 4 year old, there was one in the utility room!!!! We have rented several vacation homes in the past but this was by far the most pleasant. We plan on returning next year for another relaxing week on the water. Thank you!

Beautiful Berkshire Lake Escape

This cozy and spacious cottage nestled on Lake Garfield in Monterey, MA is a winner. From the screened in porch and deck you can take in magical sunsets above the lake. The cottage has kayaks, canoes, and some inflatables to enjoy the calm waters. We had a blast kayaking around the lake and admiring the sweeping vistas of the Berkshires. The cottage has great family/ entertaining space with a large living room and dining room with views of the lake. This is a very peaceful and quiet location, but only a short drive form the Mass pike (I-90). There are a variety of great attractions only a short drive away including Tanglewood, The Mount, and Naumkeag. We look forward to returning next year!

Best Berkshire Getaway Location!

Staying at this bucolic cottage in Monterey MA is far and away the best Berkshire experience I've ever had. Whether kayaking on Lake Garfield, taking in the sunset on the dock, eating a barbeque dinner on the patio, or playing games by the fireplace at night, this place has it all. The owners keep the cottage well stocked with all sorts of amenities above and beyond expectations, including kayaks, and have clearly put time into maintaining and decorating the premises. There is plenty of space for a couples retreat or a larger group outing. A screened in porch, balcony and patio mean plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fresh air and fantastic views. The location is convenient to many other diversions such as hiking, apple picking or exploring towns like Stockbridge, Great Barrington or Lenox. The lake was not crowded on the weekend I stayed there giving a good feeling of seclusion that can be hard to find in popular weekend destinations. The owners Sean and Ann are very personable, responsive and accommodating. They've been vacationing in Monterey for decades so they are very familiar with area and provided a wealth of information to let us know what options were available. I would definitely recommend this cottage due to such a positive experience I had and plan on returning next year myself.
