Great Condo rental

Not sure the pictures do justice for the rooms. Very upscale decor, plenty of space for our family of four and can not beat the location. The king sized bed in the master could use some updating as it seemed a bit worn but not enough do impact overall rating. Great communication prior to and during our stay. We were very happy with rental!

Disappointing Stay – Unbearable Smell and Misleading Listing

Upon entering the unit, we were immediately hit with an awful smell that resembled rotting fish. It was truly overwhelming and set a terrible first impression. Things didn’t improve in the master bedroom, where there was a strong mildew odor coming from the dresser, end tables, and curtains. The smell was so strong we couldn’t use any of the drawers—our clothes would have absorbed that horrible odor.To be fair, the rental company did everything they could to clean the unit and were responsive to our concerns. However, the problem goes beyond what cleaning can fix. The master bedroom furniture and curtains must be replaced. This is ultimately the owner's responsibility, and until they address these issues, this unit should not be rented out.Additionally, the furniture in the living area was not as pictured in the listing. While the couch had clearly been replaced with a new one, the two chairs shown in the listing were missing and not replaced with anything. As a result, there wasn’t enough seating for our family to watch a movie comfortably—we ended up using kitchen chairs, which really took away from the relaxing atmosphere we were expecting.Unfortunately, the condition of the unit significantly impacted our trip. I would not recommend this property unless and until these issues are fully resolved.

The condo had a few problems that one would not expect in this price range ($500 per night). The microwave didn't work, the mattresses were worn and tilted (particularly in the master), the bedding in both rooms seemed antique, the sliding door frames appeared to have mold around the frames and the locks didn't work, both toilets ran continuously and one stopped working (I adjusted it). This was a mediocre condo in a high-end facility. Additionally, I was not aware of the difference between renting through "Premier" and renting through online websites like VRBO. Only after I arrived did I learn that some services would not be provided because of that distinction.

Great Resort - Disappointing Residence

We arrived after checking in at 4PM and had to wait an hour in the corridor while the individual “finished” cleaning our room. When we were able at 5PM to enter the condo, there was sand everywhere (floor, furniture, countertops, even in the refrigerator). I immediately wiped out the fridge so I could store our perishable food (since we had waited an hour longer than expected and didn’t want to have to throw out our cold items). Then I swept the entire residence. The amount of sand in every room made it appear that no one had swept/vacuumed the condo at all. The cleaning individual appeared to have mopped the floor, but all that did was smear the sand around the residence. There were linens left in the dryer, and since we didn’t know whether they had actually been washed/cleaned, we ran them through the washer again as we didn’t have enough towels without those. And one of the “clean” provided towels had a red splotch on it which appeared to be blood. The kitchen was disgusting. Chopping boards, utensils, cups, and plates had been put away dirty, with old food smeared on them. The one time we attempted to use the oven we had to pull our food before it was cooked because there was a mat in the oven covered with grease of some kind and it began smoking excessively. Our food was inedible due to the burnt, acrid stench from the grease-filled mat. While we love Portofino and would like to return, we would not rent this same unit again.

Looked like furniture from a consignment shop pictures faded, and poorly placed .no one rug matched and they were war worn!! Tv didn’t work well and were small! Not worth the money and we should get a refund!!! The dishes were mismatched and had cracks so as not able to use . Very discussed and disappointed. The people we met and saw their brains unit really disgusting with ours

The condo was great - clean and had everything we needed. The location was close to the beach with access to several pools. The view from the condo was gorgeous. For future guests, I would recommend having a broom and dust pan in the room. Sand became obnoxious.

Great Getaway

We loved having a place of solitude to come back to after doing all the touristy things. My only complaint is the master bed was not comfy at all. It is lumpy and sort if ramps from the middle to the side.

Beautiful location

No hair dryers in unit. Only one elevator in the unit. There is a note saying not to use the comforters or pillows on either bed, but the spares in the closet smelled like vomit. Not enough pillow cases for the pillows. But the beach is great!
