Located beneath the live oaks of historic downtown Wilmington, above a bed of butterfly bushes and jasmine, this brand new 1 bedroom 1 bath carriage house apartment is 4 blocks from the Cape Fear riverwalk and 2 blocks to the Castle Street Arts District, located on a quiet block, and convenient to all local attractions. This well appointed carriage house unit features a 55" flat screen TV with streaming apps, high speed Wi-Fi, full kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig with complimentary coffee, dining area, premium bedding, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Living room includes a pull-out queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam mattress. Stocked with board games and puzzles. Located behind the main home, the upstairs carriage house apartment has contact-free, keyless access. Wake up to beautiful views of church steeples before exploring the historic district with wonderful restaurants, craft breweries, and antique dealers, or venturing out to nearby beaches and wineries (stocked with beach towels and chairs). And bonus - the apartment is dog friendly for bringing along your fur baby! Great weekend spot

Super clean apartment, close proximity to downtownriverwalk. Also fantastic that it's big dog friendly which is hard to find nowadays. Owners were friendly and responsive as well!Woukd very much recommend!

Stayed a few nights. Had everything we needed! Located on a quiet street tucked away. Walked to downtown for everywhere all weekend! The place was clean. Communication was great. Would 10/10 recommend!!!

Amazing gem a stones throw away from the Historic District

Had a wonderful four-nite time stay at the carriage house run by Wayne and Bobby. They thought of every little detail to make our stay worry free. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds extremely comfortable, and there were even toiletries in case we forgot something as well as bones and doggie bags for our pups.

Stop looking … stay here … really

My wife and I spent two nights and we cannot recommend you stay here strongly enough. The facility is modern, comfortable, quiet, convenient and has everything you might want and then some. If giving 100 stars was possible we would do that. Stop looking and just stay here. Really.

Our second stay in six months at this lovely property. Close to the Riverwalk and the shops and restaurants of Wilmington. Quiet historic area that oozes charm. Thoughtfully set up with everything you need. Butterfly Cottage has it all.

10/10. Everything about this apartment was perfect! Great location, very well appointed and very clean. The hosts were very welcoming to me and my dog. I found everything I needed and was very comfortable. It was very easy to check in and out. The hosts thought of everything I might need.

Great location for marathon

This was an adorable little cottage with everything we needed. The location was about 4 blocks off of the marathon route and we loved being able to have our dogs. No problems finding free street parking right in front of the house and easy places to walk and potty the dogs.

Great host and house!

Very responsive, incredibly clean, and easy going with the stay! Had all necessary toiletries and shower products stocked up as well! Overall great experience and would definitely stay there again when I’m in town.

Great place, location and host!

Our children stayed here with their 2 dogs over Thanksgiving break while we celebrated with family in the area. The carriage house was immaculate, cozy, well stocked and in a great walking distance to downtown and the riverfront area. The host was very gracious to allow earlier check-in and the opportunity to stay a little longer past check out if needed be. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a fantastic experience at this property! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated everything was. Quiet and comfy

The one-bedroom apartment has everything you need for your stay. The hosts have included nice amenities for the bathroom and kitchen that you don't usually see in travel rentals. Very walkable location.

Beautiful Pet Friendly Property

We stayed three nights with our adult daughter and two dogs and this was a perfect pet friendly place! Great location for walking to downtown restaurants and venues. For us, the ease of walking our dogs in the church yard next door or around the block was great. The property is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well-socked with most anything you will need.
