Luxury Family Vacation-loma sijaitsee viehättävässä Banner Elkin kaupungissa, NC. Tällä upealla kodilla on korkeiden vuorten virkistysalue, lähellä kävelymatkan päässä laskettelurinteistä ja upeat vuoristomaisemat maileihin. Talossa on iso erä, jossa on kaksi hehtaaria (suuri lapsille) ja oma lampi kaloilla. Tämä koti on loistava paikka perhelomailuun. Meillä on myös uusittu vanha historiallinen maalaismainen navetta kiinteistöstä nauttimaan ulkona ja saamaan vieraat laajentamaan kokemusta talomme. Another wonderful stay

Our guests come from Canada, Scotland, NYC and Boston for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. This is a perfect spot for our annual reunion.

Great stay

The house was perfect for my father’s 80th birthday celebration. Lots of space for everyone and we never felt crowded. The house is very well stocked for cooking. Patrik was great to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

Our wedding venue

We got married this weekend at this lovely VRBO. Wedding aside we loved the property and the house and barn. If anyone is considering this as their wedding venue I couldn’t recommend it more. Without a doubt the best day of my bride and I’s lives.

Beautiful ski slope view!

Plenty of space for 15 of us ranging on age from 5 to 81. Beautiful view of Sugar Mountain ski slopes. Very clean! Easy to get to. Would definitely stay here again with a large group!

We had an amazing wedding this venue was perfect. The host was great with communication and gave us early check on and check out times to accommodate our schedule. We had a few issues while on site but the host was always easy to contact and quick to offer a solution.

Our Senior Trip!

The home was beautiful. It was comfortable and close to Sugar Mountain. The kids loved coming home to a warm home made dinner and they loved sitting outside on the porches. The adults were comfortable and loved the fire pit. The convenience of the location was wonderful. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

Elopement Wedding

The photos don’t even do this house or property justice, it’s even more beautiful in person. This house was absolutely perfect for our small wedding ceremony. We had both of our immediate families stay with us and got married on the deck overlooking the property. There were also so many beautiful areas for photographs. We would definitely love to stay again for a big family vacation.

Excellent Wedding Venue

If you are looking for a great place to host your barn wedding, this is an amazing choice! With all of my family and bridesmaids coming from out of town, the house was perfect for us to stay at (and so close to the barn)! My bridesmaids and I were able to stay in the lower level while my family stayed upstairs. With the barn just steps away, I was able to stay in the barn during the evening and work on directions then just take a couple steps back up to the house. So, so, so convenient! And, to add to that, the owner of this property owns a small house nearby that was perfect for the groomsmen (within walking distance of the barn and house)! Patrick was wonderful to work with and was so flexible with all the questions I had. I highly recommend this Vrbo as a great wedding venue if you pay extra for the barn or a great place to stay to go skiing at sugar mtn or visit the high country!

Mountain wedding

This was the best location for a wedding! The barn was perfect for the reception! So many different views for photos and hanging out. There was plenty of room for our families in the house and such a relaxing space. Patrick was great with communication. Answered all questions and was very easy to reach/ responsive. He’s a fantastic host. Very easy to work with and understanding. We all loved his property. We had zero issues all weekend.

Awesome weekend!

We recently stayed at this charming cabin and it exceeded all our expectations! The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin itself is a gem. It's not only impeccably maintained but also thoughtfully designed, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Having multiple bathrooms was a huge plus, ensuring everyone had their own space and privacy. The property manager responded to the messages quickly and friendly. Thank you to the property manager and the owners for sharing this wonderful cabin with us. p.s. Apple map provide better direction than google map

House worth the trip alone!!

We had a large group planning a multi-family ski trip to Sugar. Turns out the weather was not great and we got rained out one day completely and crowded out mostly the second. As it turns out, we had as much fun at this house as we did on the slopes. Barn area was nice to get outside yet out of the weather. Kids ran around the property and played, did some light nature walks and after the rain, we had a nice fire in the huge fire pit. Pleanty of space inside and lots of bedrooms to accommodate multiple families. More than enough bathrooms, nice appointments, great layout, great condition, fantastic porches and convenient to everything in the area. Next time I come to town, I know where I'll be staying!!

Magical cabin and Wedding Venue

The property is absolutely beautiful and the additional barn that was used for our wedding reception was stunning. We had a amazing weekend and couldn’t have without the help of Patrick. He was there every time I had a question or needed help. The house is fully stocked with all that we needed. Beds were comfy, 2 spacious living rooms and Kitchens. The house and barn are well provided for and are spotless. A wonderful rent for a wedding (such as us) or a family reunion. Tons of space and views to look at. The pond being one of the most beautiful At night. Everything is so well lit! Thank you for the best weekend. I wish cherish these memories forever.

Good for a large group

This house is good for a large group with several couples. There are many bedrooms that are mostly all of the same. The master suite is average. There are two kitchens on different floors, but they were both nice. This property is animal friendly, so it has a pet odor throughout most of the house. Location is ok for convenience, but not for the view. Close to Banner Elk and has plenty of parking spaces. The fire pit was very nice and the exterior porches were well equipped. The house is choppy and there is no large open space to hang out in, but that is the trade off for the large number of rooms. Not one of my favorites houses in the area, but if you have 7-8 married couples, it was very accommodating.

Wonderful property for wedding and vacation

My husband and I held our wedding and rehearsal dinner on the property in late June and it couldn't have been more perfect! We had some of our closest friends stay with us in the house and everyone else rented houses in the surrounding area (my parents stayed in the owner's other property next door which also worked out really well!). The barn was amazing- lots of outlets for lights and the tap trailer we rented for the weekend. The owner had just built a new balcony off of the parking area which was also really exciting- lots of people hung out up there! The house was perfect as well- we loved having two kitchens. The caterer used the lower kitchen to finish food prep on the day of the wedding. If you're considering having your wedding here and have any questions, ask Patrick for my contact information. I highly recommend using this amazing property!

Truly wonderful place!!

Patrik’s place provided our family with the perfect place to share Thanksgiving! With a wonderful location which included a pond stocked with fish that our grandchildren fattened every day, to an amazing fire pit that drew all ages every night to a large barn & wonderful woods to explore, no one sat for very long! The decks provided wonderful views & sunny spots to rock to one’s heart’s content. The weather cooperated & we spent long days hiking, rope climbing, zip lining, horseback riding, getting Xmas trees, & visiting area parks. Too warm for snow tubing! The house has 2 kitchens, both well-stocked & most of the bedrooms have large-screen tvs. Great house for our party of 17 to entertain ourselves! We had our Thanksgiving dinner on the upper deck! Great fun! Nearby Food Lion is a bonus! Another welcomed bonus was the owner’s acceptance of pets. As others have mentioned Patrik is the perfect host, readily answering any of our questions. We would not hesitate to recommend staying here!

House OK, Bed Bugs, Terrible Experience, Misleading listing, Broken Fireplace,

The Good: the house is a great spot. It is a bit secluded (up a dirt road so drive a 4x4 in winter). Nice view of Sugar Mountain, great grounds, house is big and is well stocked with pots and pans and other kitchen items. The Bad: 1. The listing shows the barn and many pictures of it. Turns out, that is a seperate listing all together and you have to pay seperately for the use of the barn. 2. Owner did not reply initially during the stay and had to text him seperately to get a reply. 3. Toiletries: While the listing states that shampoo and soap are provided, you are given an itty bitty bottle of shampoo and a small bar of soap for each bathroom for 16 people. So bring your own supplies. 4. Paper products: you are supplied with 1 to 2 rolls per bathroom (for a house that can sleep 16). Bring toilet and paper towels. 5. Organization: everything is everywhere. If you need a spatula or wisk, plan to search about 10 different spots. The Ugly: Bed bugs. My daughter was bit up severely the second last day and thought only misquitos. On our final day it got worse she went to the doctor and they determined it was bed bugs. She has welts all over her body and was in extreme pain and discomfort. The owner stopped replying after one message complaining I own my own vacation rental and this rental is just not good. I typically would not write a bad review as I understand things happen, but this is beyond poor.
