Remote Work plus fun too

I am a remote worker and love to stay at this location when working on-site. It is a lovely neighborhood, close to the beach with the convivence of stores and restaurants in close proximity. Plus, Jennifer is flexible and friendly.

Little difficult to find at first, we felt off about walking onto someone’s driveway and behind. But it suited all of our needs and was so close to the beach which was perfect!

Truly a home away from home

I travel a lot and use a lot accommodation sites. This unit was without doubt the best I have stayed in by far. It is exactly as the pictures show, but better, comfortable bed great kitchen lounge area was very comfortable to watch the big screen tv. The area is fantastic, quiet friendly and safe. Jennifer is a great host instant response and help. The only fault is that I don’t live there because it’s a fantastic place. If you want a comfortable friendly stay... this is your place.

Great location

My friend and enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean. There is even a linen closet with lots of towels. The location was wonderful and convenient to both my friend in Hermosa Beach and family in Torrance. The one thing that could be improved is the lighting back to the unit. It was very dark at night, even when we left the outside light on. Also, while parking is plentiful most of the time, it is harder to find, the later at night it gets. I would definitely stay in the unit again based on the property and price.

Redondo Beach Stay

It was a pretty place. Quiet area, which was nice. I do think if you’re going to advertise amenities, they should be clean. For example, the coffee machine was very dirty. The grill was rusted, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The outside sitting area was full of leaves and dust. I did also have a package that was signed for, and I never received. Which I thought was odd, because the owner of the unit received had a package waiting for her with no issues. Other than those things, it was lovely to stay there.

Good stay in Redondo Beach

The hosts were great & available when needed but did not crowd your space. We felt comfortable and overall had a good stay. The neighborhood is safe. My only complaints are: 1. The couch is really gross and should be replaced. We had to sit on it with a sheet over it. 2. There were some plumbing issues. The sink in the bathroom was clogged & the hallway bathroom would release a strong sewage odor (Especially when you leave the fan on) After staying there I think it’s a little pricey for what it is.

Not my ideal place!

The property looks good on the website. It was not my standard of cleanliness, the fridge had not been cleaned, there was stale food under the sofa cushions, the so called patio was small and unclean. The path to the property was uneven and bad lighting. The outside looked like a junk yard. It was very disappointing to say the least!

Great amenities!

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed for 3 weeks while our daughter was doing a physical therapy intensive at the NAPA Center in Hawthorne. The unit was an easy 15 minute drive to the center. It was also an easy 15 to 20 minute walk to the beach even with our two children, stroller and all of our stuff. We really appreciated all of the amenities at this house! It was so so nice to have a full kitchen, especially the oven and dishwasher! It was also so nice to have the washer and dryer right in the unit. Since we were traveling with two small children, one of which has significant special needs, we go through a lot of laundry so it was really really nice having the washer and dryer! There were also tons of towels and sheets which again was so so nice with two small children! The unit is decorated really cute giving it a beach house feel. We were just really grateful for this unit. We had a few minor issues that we addressed directly with the host and she was so quickly responsive to us! We would absolutely stay here again.

Wedding week in Redondo

What a gem of a place! Everything was exactly as pictured! We so enjoyed the amenities of how close we were to all the activities, the beaches, and the airport! We were able to make breakfast without having to go out, and even made a dinner. A very quite neighborhood, which is important since the houses are so close together in Redondo. We had plenty of fans to keep it breezy and cool. I would suggest a screen door on the front door to allow for that wonderful cross ventilation we felt when the door was open. Also as we arrived Wednesday night after dark, we did not see the street sign posting regarding no parking on Thursdays 9-12 for street cleaning, so we were welcomed with a $45.00 ticket! Perhaps a heads up to future tenants about that no parking rule on Thursdays and Friday mornings! Thanks for sharing your property, Jennifer! If I have any reason to come back to Redondo, I would certainly be happy to rent again from you!

Our Stay In Redondo

All in all a great listing, clean, well equipped and great location, about the only minus points I would give are as follows: It would have been helpful to have an info sheet, with the host contact info, emergency numbers, house rules, and the most important for myself as a business traveler, the WiFi password. I worked for a vacation rental company nearly 3 years and we always recommended that hosts have an info sheet at the listing, and in our case it would have been essential to have internet access. The next thing would be to inform the guests that there are tenants living in the adjacent flat, not a major issue but one of the tenants had pretty heavy feet when walking around above our flat. Finally, I would advise the host to have a carpenter fix the door, it sticks and was difficult to open and close, my wife was unable to open it at all, this could be a concern if a guest staying alone at the listing need to get inside quickly, it would take maybe a 10 minute bit of sanding to fix the problem. Other than those minor points it's a great flat in a great location for anyone wanting to visit the south bay beach area.

A clean, comfortable unit with very responsive and accommodating hosts! A great location that is very convenient to shopping restaurants and the beach. When you compare the price to nearby hotels, this is a great value! The furnishings are getting worn looking and some updating would be nice. Also, neighbor noise, e.g., barking dog and an upstairs tenant who gets up before 6 am is a distraction for those who like to sleep in.

Lovely clean property located on the edge of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. Great gluten free bakery, Kirari bakery, which was on the way to a playground at South Park for our daughter. Also, great coffee nearby at The Boy & the Bear. Hermosa Beach was about 25 mins walk away with lots of great food places, shops and, of course, the fabulous beach.

Felt at Home

The apartment is great! It has everything you could need. It would definitely work for a longer short term rental, like a semester or travel nurse, etc. We stayed a week. So the good…bed is comfy, spacious, nice new grill,stocked kitchen, clean. Bad (no place perfect), the TV is older and no smart TV so only direct TV, the internet is very slow in the bedroom and phone signal isn’t great so you need the internet. The host was not very quick to respond to questions. If we would have had a problem, it’s concerning it took her 24 hrs to respond or more. Sheets did not further bed so I was trying to make the bed each night I would stay again though for sure
