Summary:
If you love great food, craft beer, and pour-over coffee, this is your spot! In Portland’s famous Buckman District, my apartment is near top-rated restaurants, bars, and vintage shops—perfect for people-watching. Ideal for couples, solo travelers, and business guests, it’s a convenient home base near all the hot spots. Experience Stumptown life!
The Space:
Tastefully furnished in true Portland fashion, this studio apartment boasts unique charm and character.
The space is cozy and relaxed, with large windows that flood the room with natural light. The comfy mattress is perfect for unwinding after a long day. On rainy days, cuddle up and watch movies on the 55" LED flat-screen Smart TV, with access to Netflix and blazing fast WiFi for all your streaming needs.
If you prefer to dine in, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to easily host your crew. After a day of walking, shopping, and dining, you'll love returning to the super comfy queen-size bed. The apartment is equipped with heating to keep you warm in the winter, though it currently does not have A/C.

You will have the convenience and privacy of coming and going as you please with a secure lockbox on site to access the apartment keys. You’ll receive the lock box code in the booking confirmation.
The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors—no chain restaurants here! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna, all within a 1.5-mile stretch.
But Portland isn't just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit thrives in Hawthorne, with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.
If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the perfect blend of urban excitement and natural beauty in the Hawthorne/Buckman District!
Getting Around:
This prime location offers a variety of convenient transportation options to help you explore the city with ease.
With an impressive walk score of 89, the neighborhood is highly walkable, allowing you to easily access a wide range of dining, shopping, and entertainment options just a short stroll away. Enjoy a leisurely walk to nearby cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, and parks that capture the unique charm of Portland.
Portland is renowned for its bike-friendly infrastructure, and with a bike score of 98, you'll find it exceptionally easy to explore the city on two wheels. Numerous bike lanes and the BIKETOWN bike share program provide ample opportunities for cycling. There are bike racks nearby for secure parking, and the neighborhood’s flat terrain and scenic streets make biking a particularly enjoyable mode of transportation.
TriMet, Portland’s public transit system, provides excellent options for getting around. The #14 and #15 bus lines run close to SE 26th Ave, offering convenient access to downtown Portland and other key areas. Additionally, the nearby Portland Streetcar and MAX Light Rail stations provide efficient options for reaching different parts of the city.
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area, offering a convenient way to travel further afield or when you’re in a hurry. Traditional taxis can also be hailed or scheduled in advance, providing another reliable transportation option.
If you have a car, on-street parking is available, though it may be limited during peak hours. Be sure to check the parking signs for any restrictions. For longer stays or guaranteed spots, there are nearby parking garages and lots that offer hourly or daily rates.
