The gas fireplace and bistro patio create the perfect setting for a relaxing evening with a glass of wine, no matter the time of year. With easy access to local entertainment, Academy House allows you to immerse yourself in the ambiance of Colorado Springs. The town has a unique military flavor, highlighted by the Air Force Academy and three other military bases.

Host Ken Rivera is a native of Colorado Springs, and his spouse has lived in many locations with the military. We enjoy the outdoors of Colorado in all the ways you could imagine, including building quinze huts for winter camping. We are getting more into golf as we age, ha! We raised two children in Colorado Springs: a businesswoman and her child, a Space Force Major, and a USAF Academy grad.

The neighborhood offers a delightful mix of cultural experiences, from art galleries showcasing local artists to cozy restaurants serving diverse cuisines. Walking through the area, you can often hear live music while walking to shopping or dining nearby. Our favorite is the organic grocery store five minutes away by car.
Additionally, there are plenty of green spaces where families can picnic, bike, play sports, and let their children run around. The friendly faces of the residents, the rich cultural offerings, and the overall vibrant energy make the 80917 Neighborhood a truly enjoyable place to explore and relax.
Nearby, enjoy the Krispie Creme, Texas Roadhouse, On The Border, Red Robin, Longhorn Steakhouse, Costco, and Safeway.
