GULF-FRONT! At 1800 sq. feet, you won't be bumping into each other during your stay. This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom with 3 queen sofa sleepers will comfortably sleep 12. Onsite parking in front and the beach/Gulf in the back. Saltwater pool onsite too. Relax on the balcony with coffee or cocktails. Park and walk to your favorite places! The Hangout, Pink Pony Pub, Sea-N-Suds and Gulf State Park Fishing Pier and so much more are all within walking distance of Castaways 8D.

4 nights of bliss

We spent 4 nights here in March 2025. The view was spectacular and the condo had everything we needed and more. This will be our “go to” home away from home for beach trips. Absolutely loved the owners and enjoyed every aspect of spring break!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay here. The condo is large and suited our 2 families perfectly. It was very clean and well stocked. The location is convenient as well! Would love to stay again in the future!

Great Vacation

Condo was great! Access to the beach was great! The only negative thing I have to say was parking was very tight. Not the easiet to load and unload kids.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was great besides the parking lot. It is VERY small!! The spaces are barely big enough for an SUV, all passengers had to get out before we parked or you couldnt get out, and then you have people (several) that park over the line so the other space can't be used because there isn't room. It was very frustrating.

Family vacation

We loved our condo. We had a wonderful time. The only problem we had was the elevator kept breaking and we were on the 8th floor. Otherwise an amazing time!!

Frustrated

We had a registered emotional support animal for my niece that we were told could not stay. We were harassed about removing the dog from the premises after she was removed immediately. This should be something stated on your advertising. We understood no family pets but this was a different situation. Also the satellite dish didnt work and we were unable to watch tv for 36 hours after we arrived. We will find another condo and HOA that will accommodate us in the future. This was unacceptable! I will not recommend this property to anyone else!

Anniversary/Birthday Celebration

Our stay at the Castaways was nice, location was a lil uneasy to find and the only down fall to our stay was the balcony. It was very small- not intended for a large group-not spacious. We had a nice little happy waiting for us. Overall it was a nice stay.

Great experience

Property was clean and nice and just as expected from the pictures. We had the max number of people staying and it was comfortable. We did not feel cramped at all. Check in was super easy and the Property manager had excellent communication. No issues at all.

Our stay was great! We enjoyed the area. Lot to do from the beach. Other places you have to drive f.

The condo is in a great location. There was construction going on. Limited parking. People need to police the parking. Spots are tight and when people park over the line it eliminates parking spaces. Need to let people know to stay in the lines. Cleaning service needs to improve. Condo not as clean as was led to believe. This was our second stay. We enjoyed the area.

So many issues

While this is in a good spot and easily walkable, the building itself is in bad shape. The parking lot is so small that everyone is taking up two spaces and there is no additional parking nearby. Our code didn’t work when we got there and had to wait for a new email with a new code. There were no sheets or pillow cases on any of the beds-had to call for that and wait. This condo is on the 8th floor and had no water multiple times. When we called about it the first time, they said the pump for the building isn’t strong enough. No fix. Just wait for water. Once we waited for half an hour just to be able to flush a toilet. Apparently property management has changed, so when I called with these issues after hours I was told they no longer manage the property. The number I was given was out of service. I’m not sure who is really in charge and other than the water and awful parking situation, everything was resolved. I am not one to leave bad reviews, but this whole stay was just over the top bad.

Love Gulf Shores

Beautiful beach, awesome area. You can walk to several restaurants and activities. The condo was nice, very spacious, beds were comfortable, everything you need is supplied. The condo is right in the beach with beautiful views and just a short walk to the water. The pool was nice, kind of small when you get a lot of people. The only real complaint is the parking lot. The spaces are tight! We drive an SUV and could barely fit in the spaces. Cars were parking over the lines which made it even more difficult and left some people without a spot. It would be nice if they had numbered parking so each condo had 2 assigned spots. That way you are ensured you would have spot. Other than that, the condo was great.

Awesome and easy

Booking was super easy online and it was nice not having to go into and office and do the whole check in process after traveling all day. We had all the info we needed and had a great stay. Check out was also quick and easy.

Weekend Getaway

The condo was perfect! Excellent view! We went during slow season so I could see how parking could be a problem in busy times. And only one elevator might be slow when busy. But our stay was just what the doctor ordered!

Thanksgiving vacation

Absolutely loved our place! Host was very accommodating and answered right away when we had questions or issues. Water heater wasn’t the best for the amount of people that had to shower but we made it work. Views and all were beautiful. This place will not disappoint!

Great place

We loved the layout of the place and easy access to the beach. Elevators are a little slow and parking was limited but we never moved our car so it was fine for us. Might be tricky in the busier months. We had some gorgeous sunsets! Overall great stay!

Great room, terrible parking

we loved the room. plenty of space. lots of places for people to sleep and have areas to themselves. it was clean, everything worked ( once you figure out the ceiling fan remotes). lots of tvs, and the ac worked good and there was hot water. back deck was nice, great view. we would definitely stay here again with a big group. only problem is parking. the lot is tiny, the spaces are tiny , big pick up trucks dont stand a chance. at first i was peeved that they would only give us 2 parking passes for a place that sleeps 12.....but it really didnt matter, only one of our party actually got to use the parking lot anyway because it was either full or our vehicles wouldnt fit in the partially open spaces, the other 2 vehicles in our party had to park across the highway in a big vacant lot. dont know whos it was, no signs saying no parking so we did the whole time with no problems.

Family vaca

This was our first family vaca in 6 years. We had a great time. Listing was very accurate. Location was perfect. Walking distance to anything you could want. Beach was very clean and the beach workers busted their butts daily. Only complaint was slow elevator and no ventilation inside it. Overall a great stay. We will be back.

Castaways 8D is within walking distance to The Hangout, Pink Pony Pub, Picnic Beach, Sea-N-Suds, Gulf State Park fishing pier/restaurants, Lauria's by the Beach, De Soto's Seafood Kitchen, Mikee's Seafood, Sunliner Diner, Gulf Island Grill, Burro Azul, Bahama Bob's and so much more. If you like to shop, you can walk to Tiki Island Boutique, Souvenir City, Market Place, Purple Octopus, Surf Stye and Dollar General. Events within walking distance include The Hangout Fest, Gulf Shores Shrimp Fest and NCAA Beach Volleyball Tournament. Park and walk to so many places!
