Amish Guest Maalaistalo Seneca Lake -viiniradalla, upea järvinäköala

Sijaitsee reitillä 14, Penn Yan, New York, 14527, Seneca-järven länsipuolella, New Yorkin osavaltion sormenjärvien syvin.

Kätevästi noin 12 minuutin päässä sekä Genevestä että Penn Yanista Seneca-järven viinireitillä.

Vuonna 2012 kiinteistön osti paikallinen hevonen ja buginen Mennonite-perhe. Weaver-perhe ja heidän seitsemän lastaan tekevät joka päivä työtä muuttaakseen tämän maatilan ja kodin nostalgiseksi lepopaikaksi maailman väsyneille matkailijoille ja niille, jotka kaipaavat yksinkertaisempaa elämää.

Vaikka kotona on WiFi-yhteys, Weaver-perhe kannustaa kävijöitä vaellukselle, pyöräilylle ja nauttimaan luonnosta. Siellä on hirvieläimiä, ystävällisiä pieneläimiä, samoin kuin monenlaisia lintuja, ja ehkä harvinainen pilku kojoottiin.

Vierailijat voivat etukäteen saatuaan nauttia suurimmasta osasta tilan 85 hehtaarin yksityisyyttä, mukaan lukien puro ja rotko.

Päivitetty keittiö tarjoaa tarpeeksi tilaa juhlien valmistamiseen, uuteen kuusipolttiseen keittolevyyn, kaksiseinäiseen uuniin, ruostumattomasta teräksestä valmistettuun astianpesukoneeseen, jätteiden hävittämiseen, isoin ruokailuvälineisiin, mikroaaltouuniin, graniittitasoilla ja suureen ruostumattomasta teräksestä valmistettuun jääkaappiin ja pakastimeen.

Weaver-perhe on ollut tervehdyttämässä kävijöitä viimeisen 18 vuoden ajan heidän suunnittelemiensa ja myymiensä käsintehtyjen peittojen avulla ympäri maailmaa. Perhe toimii tällä hetkellä pienellä tikatustaidolla studiossa, joka sijaitsee kiinteistöllä ja jossa on heidän viehättävät kotitekoiset Amish-peitonsa, kotitekoiset hillojensa ja hyytelöinsä sekä kotitekoiset vihannekset kauden aikana. Vieraidemme mukavuuden ja yksityisyyden takaamiseksi loma-asuntova pysäköinti on erillään muusta tilasta.

Koti on sisustettu paikallisilla käsin ommeltuilla peittoilla, jotka antavat sille kodikkaan vanhanaikaisen tunnelman.

Fantastic family vacation! Plenty of space for 13 people and a dog. Great central location for all our activities- kayaking, wineries, picknpatch farm, and spotted duck ice cream. Pauline was an awesome host! Then of course there was the spectacular view!!Will definitely visit again if in the finger lakes.

This is a very high quality property! We appreciated the well equipped kitchen (including 2 refrigerators) and plenty of common space for our group of 16. Pauline was easy to communicate with, as well as friendly and responsive. The younger folks especially loved the little taste of farm life as well as playing with Savage. With such a full house, we wouldn't have minded one more bathroom on the 2nd floor. But overall, everything was as advertised, and much more! Thank you!

family reunion

We had a lovely time at the spacious farmhouse, and we enjoyed exploring the property and the surrounding area. Our family hosted an informal anniversary celebration one evening, and the covered porch nicely accommodated our group of about 35 people. Pauline was at the adjacent country store during business hours and was available to answer questions. My young nephews appreciated their cart ride!

Relaxing retreat

The farmhouse was a wonderful location to accommodate our large group, 13 adults. Plenty of space for both indoor board games and outdoor yard games. Pauline was a joy to meet and work with.

Amazong propert, lovely host and had a great time

This was our 1st family vacation and first time to the Finger Lakes. We booked this house due to its size (needing to host 11 peopple, including 3 children and 4 separate families) as well as dogs. The house was amazing and as described. There was several first floor beds. Note my mom uses a walker so 1st floor bedroom was necessary. You can enter the house without any steps though there is a slight step in from the doorway area. The bed was a tad too high for her though a step stool was provided. There are 3 bathrooms each with a shower. The kitchen is large with 2 fridges and plenty of stove and oven space. Note that there are plenty of cooking materials and serving plates but you will need to bring anything past salt and pepper and coffee. This was expected though. There is a very large porch with plenty of extra folding tables and chairs.The property is lovely amd we saw several foxes, deer and groundhog in the field. There is an amazing view of the lake and especially from the upstairs bedrooms.The best part though was definitely Pauline. She was such a kind person and humanized our stay but also gave us the space to enjoy.Thank you so much. Definitely recommend.

Cooke Fest

The Cooke children were raised in Geneva in the 60’s and 70’s. All of the children returned to the area with their children and their children’s children and spent the week at the Weaver Family Farm. The Amish Farmhouse was a perfect location that allowed us to all stay together under one roof. We enjoyed revisiting memories while creating new ones…shopping in Geneva, in Penn Yan, and at the Windmill…pontooning on Seneca Lake…hiking at Watkins Glen…golfing at multiple courses…touring wineries and distilleries.Pauline was a fabulous host, so kind and thoughtful. She made us feel so comfortable that we all looking forward to returning.

This is 4 our family's second time to stay. This year we were here for our daughters wedding nearby. We hosted the the reception (small group of 20). There was ample room in the kitchen for all family to help make food. Beautiful setting, plenty of room. Pauline is a wonderful and helpful hostess!

Great location for a Thanksgiving gathering

The house was a great meeting point for our travelers from NY, VA and MA. We had 10 adults and two dogs. The house was more than adequate in terms of bedrooms and space. We played games and did puzzles on the folding tables they have there. We brought one of our smaller tvs to watch football and it worked well with the wifi. Kitchen had most everything we needed. For Thanksgiving dinner the two ovens were perfect and the large stove top was appreciated. Pauline was wonderful making us feel welcome and helping out with a few questions. Beautiful location overlooking the lake as well. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This property gives a great first impression. Beautiful home on a well kept lot. This house offers everything, lots of space to spread out, sleeping accommodations for our group of nine, and 3 bathrooms. A wonderful kitchen with everything you need. Paper products, soaps, and laundry available. Very clean house. Pauline welcomed us and saw to it that we lacked for nothing. No televisions, so if there’s a need you can stream. Excellent internet speed.

Girls wine week end

The house is very spacious and everyone enjoyed it immensely. It brought us back to our childhood memories as we had an aunt with a farmhouse that was similar to this. Loved the store and enjoyed the beauty of the hand made quilts. I’ll definitely stay here again when I plan my next visit.

Great Vacation in Finger Lakes Region

My adult children and four grandchildren enjoyed our stay at the Weaver Farms house. Pauline is an outstanding host and made sure our stay was comfortable. The house easily fit the 10 of us with plenty of room to spare. It was well stocked and had all the amenities of home. Sitting out in the morning overlooking the lake or at night was wonderful as were the grounds where we were able to play games, go for a walk on the trail or pick eggs from the chicken coop. The children ages 3-9 also enjoyed the horse and buggy rides that Pauline offered. There is plenty to do in the area for everyone including parks and swimming to wineries and we also went to the Watkins Glen racetrack to “Drive the Glen”.The Corning Glass Museum is also just about an hour away and was a fun time. Watkins Glen State Park is only 30 minutes away and was amazing. Overall, we had a great vacation and will definitely return!!

Family Vacation

Family gathering/vacation with grown family. The place was great. Very spacious. The kitchen was fantastic. It had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for all 9 of us to be in there and cook together. Plenty of sleeping space for everyone. The porch gave us a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed it during an afternoon rain with a cup of coffee. The Hostess is phenomenal. So gracious. Easy to get to for all our day trips.

Wedding weekend

The house was large enough to accommodate our 5 children with a plus one for each, our 4 grandchildren and my dad comfortably. We held our rehearsal dinner at the house for roughly 30 people without feeling crammed. The house has a large kitchen and large living areas including a covered porch. Everyome was able to spread out and enjoy themselves. They also run a shop on the property where we purchased a beautiful quilt for our new bedroom.

Multi generational get away

The property was beautiful, the old farm house had so much charm it was an Amazing landing spot for our Finger Lake family adventure! The house was full of nooks and cranies, plenty of spaces for all 10 of us to sleep and have our space. The side porch made a great place to gather along with the fire pit. The house was well stocked with supplies, cooking gadgets, plenty of tableware and towels! The kids enjoyed gathering eggs, feeding the chickens, meeting April the horse and a cool buggy ride offered by Mrs. Weaver! The location was perfect and centrally located between the town of Pen Yann and Geneva. The views were great! We would love to stay again if our travels bring us back to the area!!!!

Awesome large Farmhouse overlooking Seneca Lake

Comfortable large home. Kitchen was massive. We cooked all meals during our stay with great family time around the large dining table. Lots to see and do. Amazing waterfalls and hiking. Several brought kayaks and fishing poles. They caught 8 different kinds of fish! Mrs. Weaver, who was our host, came everyday Monday - Saturday and sold quilts and handmade items from area people in a large barn behind the house. Several beautiful quilts were purchased by our family. Fresh eggs were collected by our grandchildren, in the hen house, everyday. Our house was very comfortable for our group of 11. We all enjoyed our family time there so much. Our 11 year old Granddaughter summed it up well about our stay. She said, “I don’t want to go home”! None of us were in a hurry to leave! Thank you to the Weavers!

Family reunion

Beautiful farmhouse location! Tons of space for our family reunion. The kids loved the chickens and pony rides. The Weaver family was wonderful! A great experience!

Lewis Family Reunion

We had a wonderful visit here at the farm. The kids loved gathering eggs, riding in the buggy and being able to just run around. The adults loved the kitchen! We were all able to be in there all at once! The farm is very convenient to wineries, parks, groceries! A wee bit of heaven!

Amish Farmhouse

The Amish Farmhouse was beautiful and accommodated our family of 18 nicely. Everyone had a bed to sleep in and there was plenty of room. The decor was homey and we had everything that we needed. We were all able to eat our meals outside on the large porch that also had room for the provided cornhole game. Pauline was wonderful! Our grandchildren gathered eggs, chased chickens back into the coop and Pauline gave them each pony cart rides. We all had a great time! We wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Thank you Pauline for your hospitality

Visitors may arrange to help gather eggs from the chickens and enjoy a
country stroll along Old State Road that is adjoining the property. There are several bird feeders giving guests a chance to enjoy many different kinds of birds. The red-tailed hawk, snow owl and snow geese are in abundance. White tailed deer sometimes wander unto the lawn.
