PerheellÀmme on siteitÀ tÀlle alueelle jo kauan sitten sukupolvien ajan. Glidden Drive on yksinÀinen luonnonkaunis tie, joka on 10 mailia itÀÀn Sturgeon Bayn keskustasta Michigan-jÀrvellÀ. Kotimme istuu pienellÀ bluffilla, josta on nÀkymÀt liikkuville hiekkadyyneille, joiden edessÀ on 180 metriÀ hiekkarantaa. Se lepÀÀ mÀnnyn ja koivun keskuudessa. LÀhimmÀt naapurit ovat 2 erÀn pÀÀssÀ kumpaankin suuntaan. Michigan-jÀrvelle on esteettömiÀ laajoja nÀkymiÀ, mikÀ tekee siitÀ tunteen, kuin olisit ainoa talo rannalla. KeittiössÀ on jÀÀkaappi, liesi, uuni, leivÀnpaahdin, mikroaaltouuni ja kahvinkeitin. Kaksi ruokailutilaa mahtuu 14. 2 perhehuoneessa on kolme viihtyisÀÀ sohvaa, yksi sohva vetÀÀ ulos alemmalle tasolle queen bed. SiellÀ on pesukone ja kuivaaja. YlÀ- ja alahuoneissa on puulÀmmitteiset takat.

Alueella on loputtomia asioita. Tien toisella puolella on luonnonsuojelun vaellusreittejÀ. Vain pohjoiseen noin 10 mailia on Cave Point County Park ja Whitefish Dunes State Park. Vain lounaaseen noin 10 mailia on Sturgeon Bayn keskusta, jossa on ostosmahdollisuuksia, viljelijÀmarkkinoita, ravintoloita, baareja, YMCA, Door Countyn merimuseo ja paljon muuta. Wonderful stay!

We loved this house and our stay. It had everything we could have needed, tons of towels, kitchen had everything we needed and it was spotless when we arrived. The beach next to the deck was great for the kids. We loved our stay and we definitely plan to stay there again!

Beautifully Peaceful

Clean mid century house high on the bluffs of Lake Michigan. Comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the outside patio. Perfect for stargazing.

Relaxing peaceful getaway!

Totally enjoyed our stay, can't beat the view and location. The house is extremely clean and stocked with all the necessities. It is such a convenience to have access to kayaks, wake boards, bikes and kids toys at the property. The owners were always very quick, pleasant and accommodating in response to any questions. Will absolutely return to this property.

A perfect family getaway!

Though we talked about exploring the town more, we didn't leave this cozy space! With a gorgeous view of the lake, we spent time around the campfire pit, enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the deck, walked along the beach, and played games and crafted when the weather turned a little stormy. As cooks, we appreciated the well-stocked tools and appliances in the kitchen. Two nights felt too short--we definitely want to come back!

Beautiful Beach Retreat

We wanted to get away for a quiet couple's weekend and this place was perfect for us! We spent hours walking along the beach and cuddling on the couch and watching the lake through the big windows. The sunrises were amazing! It was too cold to make a fire outside so we enjoyed the indoor fireplace. This property was perfect for our needs: quiet, clean, with beautiful nature views and easy access to the beach and other hiking trails. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed, it was clear that someone had put a lot of thought into what travelers might need during their stay and we felt well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again for another long weekend get-away!

Amazing view with everything you need

This place is great, and really felt like a home away from home. We have two kids, and we were able to travel a lot lighter because Jill and Ryan stock this house with everything we needed and wanted for our kids. It made everything so much easier, and we really appreciated that the house was so well stocked. It made our family time so much better because we were all so comfortable. And the lake views were incredible! We were able to appreciate the lake even when the weather was a little dreary. I would definitely like to go back.

A slice of paradise

We have stayed multiple times at this amazing home, most recently September 2018. We keep coming back because of its wonderful location and privacy, amazing views of Lake Michigan, beautiful beach front (sand dune included) and the owners are beyond nice. The house feels like a home and not a rental property and is close to Door County activities and restaurants. It is very clean and fully stocked with everything anyone would need, including many extras both inside and out (bikes, kayaks and paddle boards). We enjoyed making s’mores in the in ground fire pit and eating them in the spacious outdoor patio overlooking Lake Michigan. There is also a fireplace inside.The home is located near our favorite parks, Whitefish Dunes State Park and Cave Point County Park. The County Park has amazing Lake Michigan views of water caves and bluffs and great trails that lead into Whitefish Dunes State Park. The house is situated in a great location and is a wonderful place to reconnect with nature in a setting where you can view the ever changing and majestic Lake Michigan.

Absolutely beautiful property with gorgeous lake views and a beautiful sandy beach. Very easy to access and everything was as described in the property description. Response from the owner was very prompt and professional. Highly recommend and especially for families with children; although we did not need it during our stay, there were a lot of kid friendly amenities, like a highchair, crib, toys, and books.

The home is spacious with Lake Michigan just steps away. The neighborhood is quiet with very little traffic. Door County never disappoints, the first time in years it didn’t rain during my stay. đŸ€—

Splendor

This was top notch. The home itself is exquisite...a warm hug, a hearty, well appointed and very clean, welcome, with breathtaking views. We slept very comfortably on the beds that were covered with mattress protectors (as were all the pillows) and very comfy blankets. I loved that 2 vacumes, brooms and dustpans were readily available too so we can keep up with the sand. I adore that this home is pup friendly, our dog is 10 but she got into the beach vibe quickly. The master bedroom accomodates our dog bed perfectly. Our family suffered a loss an really needed an unwind, and a chance to slow down and experience joy, which we did in spades. It was perfect. My husband and I so enjoyed the gravity chairs on back patio for reading when we weren't in the water, and for stargazing over the Lake, at night. We experienced the kayaks and paddleboards and loved that a canoe was also availalbe to us. The fire pit was a big hit with our teenager who cooked his brat and bun over a fire one evening (Thanks for having metal marshmellow hooks by the indoor fireplace for this!). From top to bottom, inside and out this VRBO is one of, if not THE nicest home we've had the privilege to stay in. Thank you Jill and Ryan!

Perfect lske vacation!

Oh my goodness! This was a really ideal lake house. Well-equipped, very clean, very comfortable, amazing views, and much more private than any other rental we've had in Door County. It was a restful, peaceful, beautiful week. Many many thanks to the hosts for sharing such a wonderful place!

Perfect getaway

What a beautiful location! We loved staying along the dunes on a nearly private beach. We even saw a pair of fox hanging out by their den! The water was still a bit too cold to swim, but wading in on the soft sand was wonderful. We loved searching for beautiful, smooth stones and use of the kayaks was so appreciated. Having campfires while hearing the waves roll is the best! Jill and Ryan's home was well stocked with everything we needed and there was tons of space to spread out. The beds were comfortable and the sleeping spaces numerous. We cooked most of our meals and found everything we needed. We made a quick trip to nearby Sturgeon Bay for a grocery run, the farmer's market, an awesome game store, candy store and pizza at Sonny's. We also took a short drive north to explore Whitefish Dunes and Cave Point Park, and stopped at Pelican Cove Tiki Bar and Ice Cream Shack for treats for all. But we spent most of our time just enjoying this fabulous property. The home was clean and comfortable. Jill was quick to respond to messages and it was clear that much care has gone into this lovely home. We hope to return again!

Amazing sand dunes property

Our daughters loved playing out in the sand and my wife and I really enjoyed taking a nice afternoon kayak ride just steps from the back door. The house is so cozy and fully stocked for both adults and kiddos of all ages. Enjoying the waves at night, and having a nightly fire were some of our highlights from the week.

Weekend Getaway

Excellent weekend getaway - the house was perfect for our family. Loved walking the beach, relaxing on the patio, and looking out to Lake Michigan through the large windows. We can't wait to go back.

My husband has been spending time in this area since he was a child, through him I grew to love Door County. In fall of 2013 we bought this home on a whim and look forward to family trips for years to come. I find it hard to go home after time spent on Glidden Drive, its so beautiful and peaceful.
