Villa Benedetta on kaunis historiallinen asuinpaikka, joka on ollut monien vuosien ajan Folonari-perheen (tunnettu italialaisen viini-panoraaman nimi) syke. 1800-luvun alkupuolelta peräisin oleva huvila sijaitsee perheyrityksen keskellä, joka tuottaa tällä hetkellä kansainvälisesti tunnettuja viinejä.

Huvilan laajan kunnostuksen jälkeen vuonna 2014 omistajat ovat päättäneet muuntaa sen lomamökiksi ottaen huomioon sen yleiset ihanat ominaisuudet, tyylikkyys ja viehätys. Upea Toscanan ympäristö sopii erinomaisesti retkille joko jalka, polkupyörällä tai ratsastuksella.

Huvilan puisto on siististi pidetty ja siinä on kalustetut varjostetut alueet, jotka on omistettu rentoutumiseen nauttien näköalasta upealle Toscanan maisemalle tai ulkosalla (siellä on uusi grilli ja katettu huvimaja, joka istuu jopa 20 hengelle).
Yksityinen uima-allas (koko 40 x 16 metriä) on varustettu vaihtuvalla alueella, täysin varustettu kylpyhuone suihkulla ja oma langaton internetyhteys.

Villa-vieraat ovat aina tervetulleita vierailemaan kellareissa ja maistelemaan Folonari-perheen omistuksessa valmistettua viiniä.

Sijainti: Villa sijaitsee Greve in Chianti, jota pidetään "sisäänkäynnin portti" Chianti alueella. Kaunis pääaukio Greve, Piazza Matteotti, on keskipiste kaupungin ja pääsee helposti huvila jalka (noin 10 minuutin kävelymatka), pyörällä tai autolla (3 minuutin ajomatka).

Breathtaking, historical, and convenient

While the pictures are impressive, the in-person experience of all the common spaces and bedrooms are even more impressive. This is a great, great deal of space! We had a delightful family celebration for more than a week and cooked several multi-course feasts for 14 and found the kitchen well equipped. Throughout the visit, the property manager ensured the Villa was well-maintained and clean. Thank you for the wonderful visit.

Majestic home in Chianti

Beautiful property -- better than the pictures. Perfectly situated, and close to all that Chianti has to offer. Extremely large and comfortable rooms for all to spread out. Patio a wonderful place to have dinner, watch the sunset and drink local wines. Communication was excellent. Recommend a car to get back from town (up a steep hill) and to explore the regions. Highly recommend.

Perfect villa for large group.

The facilities and location are perfect for visiting much of Tuscany. At the same time, should you wish to simply enjoy a Tuscan retreat, this would be a perfect place to do so. Two points are important to keep in mind. The breakfasts, dinners and cooking class were wonderful. Also, the transportation that can be arranged through the villa was also first-class.

Amazing venue to reconnect with family

We stayed for a week at Villa Benedetta and it was a great home base for exploring all that the Chianti region has to offer. Situated about a mile outside of Greve (but up a very steep hill!) it was easy to get to the town for food and provisions. The Villa itself offers more space than anyone could possibly need - it was great for our family as there were multiple places to "escape to" when you needed a quiet break. The staff was amazing and very supportive. The charm of the place being an old villa with the wooden shutters and high vaulting ceilings was fantastic. Not complaints, but two things to note - the pool is not heated and is quite shaded so doesn't get too warm. We still managed to enjoy it but my kids weren't able to swim as much as I wanted. The kitchen is small for a big group - we just staggered our breakfasts and comings and goings and it was fine but for those that are used to "congregating in the kitchen" this really isnt the place.

Magical villa in Tuscany

My family stayed at this amazing property last week to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. The villa was as beautiful as described in the other reviews and shown in pictures. Read the booklet provided once booked because the details are so helpful and we used many of the recommendations. We especially loved Chef Alessio and his staff. The birthday party he helped me plan for my husband was so wonderful. Lolanta was so welcoming and took great care of us all week. She was so informative. The Villa allowed my large family to come together in beautiful Greve in comfort and beauty. I hope we can someday come back to this Villa. This was my first time booking on Vrbo and it was a very positive experience. Thank you to the property owner Antonella for great communication throughout and for this great property. What a magical time we had here.

60th Birthday Family Vacation 2019

We planned this family vacation for over a year and anxiously waited for a trip of a lifetime. When the time finally came there were many crazy things that happened but what we could always count on was a beautiful, amazing, perfectly suited for our family, Villa. Iolanta was an angel and helped us in so many ways in addition to keeping the Villa clean and comfortable. She worked around our needs and always had a smile and a hug. My son was taken by ambulance from Greve to a Florence hospital and didn't get released for two weeks. Not the Italian getaway we all had planned. The village of Greve was a friendly and welcoming place to eat and shop. My husband and I would come back just to stay near the village again! I didn't meet Antonella but she had recommended Alessio Sedran for meals at the Villa, Stefano Sedran for a full day of boating nearby and Stefano Pistolesi for any private driver needs. We booked three amazing meals and had Alessandro and Giuditta as our chef and assistant. We wanted to take them home with us! Our boating trip with Stefano, Kira and Gio was a lot of fun with a little excitement as well. I had contacted Stefano and his employee Giani took great care of us when we needed additional help with transportation. We did rent three cars for the 15 of us but sometimes needed another way to get people to and from the hospital or train station. I would highly recommend this Villa for any treasured vacation! Thank you Iolanta, Alessandro, Giuditta, Giani and the Village of Greve for making us feel so very welcomed and loved during our stay in Italy!!!!!

Great Villa for Family

We spent a week in late May at the Villa, we have two families 4 adults 8 kids and everyone had a fabulous time. The home was clean, comfortable and the outdoor space was great. We had a chef come two nights which was fantastic, we played tag and kickball in the huge yard. They have a helpful welcome book with recommendations, we took the recommendations for dinner in Greve and were so happy we went to the same place twice. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous in every way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Benedetta. There were 10 of us for a family reunion and each couple had a spacious bedroom. The bathrooms are well-appointed and clean. The sitting areas were so nice, and we often just met in the kitchen to chat. The villa is in a charming area with many small towns to explore within 30 minutes. If you're traveling to Florence to sight-see be aware that you are 45 minutes away on small roads. We loved the countryside and the roads, but it may not be for everyone. You could easily stay at the villa and just enjoy being there! The views of the hills and vineyards and ancient buildings on every hilltop were just stunning. Antonella was there to greet us and show us around and Iolanta was very helpful and attentive during the week. All in all an amazing experience!

Villa Benedetta is THE MOST amazing home we have ever seen! I have travelled all over the world and all over Italy and this by far is the best experience we have had! I celebrated my 40th birthday and my mother’s 60th birthday here and the home and owner was the most accomadating. There were 20 of us and we had more space than we could need here - the views, the history, the architecture, the town, the chef (Alessio Sedran) and the housekeeper (Iolanta) were the most amazing and hospitable. If you want to experience the best of Chianti this is the place to do it. Thank you to Villa Benedetta for making this an experience of a lifetime!

Wonderful, relaxing villa! Attention to all details were provided to our visit. Every room was so lovely !housekeeping was so perfect! We all enjoyed the beautiful setting and lovely backyard! Villa Benedetta, a Tuscany Dream

Where to begin... our stay at Villa Benedetta was a dream. From the very beginning our experience has been amazing. We wanted to plan an intimate destination wedding and found Villa Benedetta on Vrbo. We fell in love. Antonella was prompt in her responses and provided an abundance of information regarding the surrounding area, Greve and Florence. She provided everything in a booklet that we referred to when looking for restaurants, wine tours ect. It was so helpful. The villa was beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. Every room was incredibly detailed and clean. The art, furniture and charm was breathtaking. The yard, garden and outside seating area was picture perfect and the perfect place to hang out with friends and family. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing about our stay at Villa Benedetta. Antonella communicated everything and was very straightforward, which we appreciated very much. Ms. Lolanta, the housekeeper was the absolute sweetest woman. She completed her work proficiently and with a smile on her face. It was fun chatting with her in the mornings while having coffee in the beautiful kitchen. The villa’s recommended chef was remarkable. The food, the presentation and freshness of the meals were exactly what you would expect from Tuscany. Each meal was an experience. Our wedding was perfect and stress free and exactly what we wanted. The town of Greve is a very close drive, easily walkable if you have some leisure time and don’t mind a bit of exercise. It was very easy to reach by car (about 5 min) and parking was never an issue around the town square. Overall, we couldn’t be more happy with our stay at Villa Benedetta. It will always have a place in our hearts as it was our beautiful wedding venue. Our friends and family would agree and say their time there was a dream. We couldn’t recommend Villa Benedetta enough. We are looking forward to the day we can return with our friends and relive our magical week. Dream Vacation in 200 year old family Villa in Chanti!!

I traveled to Villa Benedetta with 17 friends, all ladies in their 50's and 60's. this month Sept 2018. The pictures do not do this place justice. Every room is beautifully decorated and the beds, linens and pillows are lovely. There are ample rooms to all gather together or wander off and get lost in. We used the pool every day and it is well lighted at night for evening swims before bed. We ate in the dining room a couple of nights but used the terrace for diners and sitting out in the evening. We were very lucky and had wonderful Sept. weather. The Villa Housekeeper Iolanta is quite lovely and lives on the estate and speaks English. I followed Antonella's advice in the handbook, we booked Alesso Sedran for a welcome dinner on arrival and for a pizza party on Thursday night. ( lots of leftovers for another meal!!) We ordered breakfast prepared by Iolanta as a special arrival treat on Sunday morning and I would recommend it highly. We hired Tommaso Ciliberti to pick us up and drop off in Florence and made a stop for groceries on the way. We also booked him for day trips to Siena, Pisa, and Lucca. In Siena we hired guide Elena Sardelli recommended in the handbook. Four ladies in our group rented a vehicle which can in handy for runs into town for necessities. I do have to mention the walk to town is only 1.5 k and takes about 10 to 15 minutes, but it is a very steep hill and on my Fitbit it registered 27 staircases. That said, 12 ladies in our group walked to town every day and enjoyed the vineyards and olive trees and spectacular views along the way. For the ladies that did not want to walk there is a local cab service ((Stefano Pestolesi) in the handbook. They can accommodate pick up for 18 people into the village if needed. I recommend you e-mail him at least 4 hours ahead, he replies promptly and book your cab for pick up and return, as he is the only cab service in Greve. We used him for a few dinners in town for the ones that did not want to walk. My absolute favourite thing during my stay was to turn right out of the villa gate and take the first left on a small road thru a vineyard and travel up a small gravel trail to the village of Montefioralle. (1 km) There is a restaurant there called I'll Guerrino and it has a terrace with the most amazing views. We visited twice for lunch. If your dream is to stay in a family owned Villa/winery with history in Tuscany this is the place for you!! Mine was and this place was perfect!!

Stunning villa, beautiful views, wonderful experience

Villa Benedetta has a wonderful family history that we are so grateful the Folonari family is willing to share. The villa itself is large, welcoming, well-cared for and has the most amazing views. We loved it! Antonella and her housekeeper, Yolanda, were so easy to work with - our planning and stay were seamless. Highly recommend this incredible, beautiful home! Everyone in our party was blown away!

Perfection in Greve

This villa is Devine! Our stay was made perfect by the large living quarters and attentive staff. You do need a car because it is in a remote area. Tuscany is beautiful and this villa adds to the beauty.

World Class Accomodations!

We had the most amazing stay at the villa It's a beautiful property it has everything you need. The staff is great ! We came with a party of 15 all adults and a 1 year old. We were there for 6 days and everyone loved it. We hired a chef for a dinner and it was fabulous. We were there in late October so we didn't use the pool. The grounds were very nice and the location was perfect, in the heart of Chianti. We would highly recommend it.

Amazing property in a sublime location

Staying at Villa Benedetta was like living in a dream. The photos and descriptions cannot do justice to what is one of the most amazing places I have ever been to. Antonella and Iolanda were so wonderfully accommodating, every need or request was met and we had the most amazing experience staying here. I cannot recommend this place enough.
