Ostimme tämän yksikön, koska rakastuimme upeaan näkymään, joka näkyy tästä kulman kattohuoneiston valtameren edessä tilavasta Condo-alueesta, joka on kietoutunut Lanaiin. Kaikista Etelä-Tyynenmeren alueista ei ole hienompaa näkymää, yli 200 asteen panoraamalla Kaanapalin rannalta, Mauin hienoimmasta rannasta sekä luonnonkauniista näkymistä Lanaille, Molokaille, Kaanapalin rannalle ja Länsi-Mauin vuorille. Lattiasta kattoon ulottuvat ikkunat antavat esteetön merinäköala täysin uusituista makuuhuoneista, olohuoneesta, ruokasalista ja keittiöstä. Kolme taulu-HDTV: tä ja talon pesukone ja kuivausrumpu tarjoavat kätevät oleskeluvaihtoehdot. Molemmat kylpyhuoneet on kokonaan uusittu lattiasta kattoon ulottuvilla laattoilla, graniittilaskilla ja sadesuihkulasiovilla. Keittiön, sisääntulojen ja eteisen lattiat on korvattu keraamisilla laattoilla ja koko muuhun huoneistoon on asennettu uusi matto.

Whaler on viime aikoina valmistunut yli 40 miljoonan dollarin arvosta kiinteistöjen kunnostustöitä ja parannuksia viimeisen 5 plus vuoden aikana. Lämmitettyssä meressä sijaitsevassa uima-altaan uima-altaassa on uusi päällystyskansi ja uusi 10 jalan halkaisijainen kylpytynnyri. Kiinteistössä on täysin varustettu kuntosali, sauna, yrityskeskus ja tenniskentät. Äskettäin suunniteltu piha, jossa on uusi suurempi koi-lampi, on upea. Torneiden välinen katettu autotalli on kunnostettu sisältäen uuden katon yläpuolella olevan vedenpitävän kalvon. Molempien tornien kaiteet on vaihdettu ja uusi laatta on levitetty lanai-kansille ja molemmat rakennukset on maalattu uudelleen. Porte Cochereen on rakennettu uusi, leveämpi ja tyylikäs ajotie, johon kirjaudut sisään. Kaanapali Parkwayn sisäänkäynti on suunniteltu uudelleen.

Sijainti tarjoaa mukavuudet kaksi maailmanluokan golfkenttää lähellä, ainakin tusinaa ravintolaa kävelyetäisyydellä. Vieressä on Whaler's Village -ostoskeskus, jossa on monia hyväpalkkaisia kauppoja, valaanpyyntimuseo. Viisi hotellia ja viisi muuta osakehuoneistoprojektia ovat lähellä. Stunning view! Perfect location! There aren't words to describe the incredible view from this oceanfront penthouse. The wraparound lanai gives you a full beach/ocean view, extending beyond Black Rock, & a gorgeous mountain view as well. Morning coffee & a sunset glass of wine will never be the same!Location is perfect, located right next door to Whaler Village, you have a 2-minute walk to all types of restaurants, shops & ABC store for quick market needs. Plus there are many wonderful options along the Ka'anapali beach walk. Short 5-10 minute drive to Lahaina for groceries, supplies & more restaurants. Convenient 10-20 minute drive to access Ka'anapali Beach north and Napili areas. Washer/dryer in the unit & a well-stocked kitchen make it home away from home. With two teenage boys, the location was perfect for them to safely have their independence while being close to "home." They had easy access to the pool, beach, rock jumping, jet skiing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, parasailing, & more. They left after breakfast, had adventures & lunch on their own, then met up for us for dinner. They had a blast & Mom/Dad got some relaxing time on our own. The 2nd bedroom with 2 Queen beds accommodated them perfectly too. The property owner was gracious, easy to communicate with & shared information/tips for enjoying the property & the community. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Maui. Mahalo!

Great Family Stay and Great View and Location!

Older unit, but updated bathrooms and comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful owner. Can’t beat the view or the location. Walking distance to everything. We had a great stay and would definitely love to come again!

Stunning Views/ Amazing Location

This was the most wonderful place for us to stay with our two college kids. Right on the beach, steps to Whalers Village, with the most incredible deck overlooking the coastline. The sunsets were amazing. Hope we are lucky enough to be able to come back to this beautiful penthouse in the future.

Absolutely Amazing

I honestly want to rate this as one star so it doesn’t get booked when we want it. But I have to be honest. This is probably the most surreal property on Maui. Consider yourself blessed if you have the opportunity to stay here. Added bonus: Dr. Fall is on all the details and works closely with all staff on any needs.

Great location, great host communication! We enjoyed the stay in this unit!! But since we cooked a lot, those frying pans needed to be replaced (all scratched up badly..) and more drinking glasses needed for the group of 6.. Other then that, it was all good; fantastic stay!!!

The Best!

Our 6 night stay was simply the BEST! The Whaler is in the perfect location on Kaanapali Beach. The unit was pristine and plenty big enough for 4 adults. We had breakfast every morning on the large lanai overlooking the Pacific while planning our days adventure. Gordon was very nice to work with and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. We will be back!

Wonderful condo with great view

This unit was spacious, in great condition with comfortable furnishings, had an incredible view from the wrap-around balcony, and was located in a great area of Kaanapali beach. The owner provided very helpful information and was quite responsive to our questions. Highly recommend!

Great Condo - Beautiful View

This is a very comfortable condo with beautiful views of the ocean and Black Rock. It has everything needed for either a short or extended stay. The owner was very easy to contact and made sure we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely rent this property again.

You can't beat the location of The Whaler. And the views from this penthouse are spectacular! The owner was so communicative - made it very easy to ask questions about the unit. It was very well appointed. We had a lovely stay!

Thoroughly disappointed

Paid a TON of $ for 5 night for a hot box of a room. Got there and the air conditioner was not on. No biggy since we wanted to go to the beach anyway so we decided to turn it on so it would be cool when we got back. Got back and it was still hot. By this time it was late, we were all tired from the long flight, especially the kids and I can’t sleep in hot sweaty conditions. Maintenance came to fix (kinda) because it never got cold. It was juat bearable enough to sleep. Couldn’t enjoy the great views because if u opened the curtains it would get hot. Also, we decided to order in dinner one night and got steaks from Hulus next door. That’s when we discovered some of the utensils were dirty. Place was old looking. Had a Musty smell. I don’t understand all the good reviews this place had. The reviews are what made us pick this Place but our experience was WAY DIFFERENT than others. We stay at 5 star hotels all around the world and will be going that route after this stay. My sister and her family stayed at the Kaanapali Ali which is only 2 hotels down from where we were and I got to check out her place. She paid HALF of what I paid and the space was only a lil bit smaller than ours but her air condition was ice cold when on and they had a washer/dryer, a way nicer gym (me and my daughter used this gym) and up to date amenities, maid service w fresh linens and towels ect. After seeing our room she knew she hit the jackpot by getting more value for half the price.

Amazing oceanfront views!!!

This condo was absolutely perfect! We loved coming up for the day and being able to sit on the wrap around porch/deck and watch the sun go down. I don’t think there is a better location in Kaanapali!! It is wonderful to be on the top floor with unobstructed views from every room! Each day, we would head to the beach. All of the amenities were there at the beach … umbrellas and chairs. One day, we rented snorkel gear and headed down to black rock. In addition, being close to Whaler’s Village is great - especially with the young adults! They could go shop, grab a coffee or an açaí bowl when they wanted and the restaurants are excellent! Go to the Monkey Pod and order any drink with the lilikoi foam on top!! You won’t be sorry! The condo and the location are perfect. Thank you.

Dream view on Kaanapali

This is the best view on Kaanapali beach! It’s so iconic, there is even a fine art painting of the view in a gallery in Lahaina! Such a relaxing and lovely place for a stay on the beach, with beauty day and night; sunset, stars and moon over the water.

An Unbelievable Find!

My husband and I were looking for an accessible home to take our 88 year old mother on a vacation. Gordon was amazing helping us think through whether his condo at the Whaler would work and even provided an adjustable shower stool for our mum to use. When we arrived, we found it was a PERFECT spot and she was immediately put at ease and was able to navigate the apartment easily. That made the whole vacation work. Beyond that, the incredible balcony, with its arresting views of the ocean and Kaanapali beach, the beautiful gardens and coy pond at the Whaler, and the incredibly kind and knowledgeable concierge on property offered such amazing support! Mum had coffee every morning on the balcony and was fascinated by the people watching and the catamarans running from the beachside. I cannot describe enough how perfect the location was for all we wanted to do on Maui and how lovely Gordon was communicating with us to make sure our mum was safe and well supported! Some previous reviews called out the "dated" furnishings but we found them delightful and they captured a feeling of Hawaii and a sense of our hosts that we appreciated! For future guests, the Whaler charges a $25 nightly "association amenities fee" charged on check out in addition to your VRBO rental fee. Gordon notes in contract- but be ready for that charge upon check out. Well worth it. Great value. Stunning location! Kind and caring host!

All about location

This location is perfect! Absolutely stunning views and easy access to places around the island. Everyone was helpful and responded promptly to questions. Would stay here again!

Carole and Gordon Fall and their family have been coming to Maui since 1971. Carole is a retired anesthesiologist and Gordon is a semi-retired family physician in their home city of Seattle. Their family includes 3 children, and 7 grandchildren. They purchased their first Maui home in The Whaler in 1976 and have owned three different units in The Whaler. Currently, they own and use 1252 which is the penthouse unit in Tower II. They stay in their unit in The Whaler for several months in the Winter. They love the year-round tropical weather, tennis, paddle boarding and surfing in the Ocean and swimming in both the Ocean and Pool, watching the whales, dining in wonderful restaurants, and shopping in the many boutiques and craft fairs on Maui. They are constantly upgrading the unit and adding to or changing furnishings.

Carole and Gordon have traveled extensively to every continent and have found that there is no better place than Maui to combine relaxation, peacefulness, safety, and a wide variety of recreational and entertainment activities with an ideal year-round climate. This realization and the relatively easy access to Maui from Seattle prompted them to initially buy their first unit in The Whaler in 1976 and then as the family grew in 1980 bought this 2B2B unit to better accommodate the family.

Staying in The Whaler allows you to walk the length of Kaanapali Beach and visit 5 hotels, numerous condominium projects, more than a dozen restaurants and many shops without ever having to cross a street. Swimming, paddleboarding, boogie boarding, surfing, fishing, snorkeling, sailing, diving off Black Rock, tennis, racquetball, golf, many restaurants and shops are just a few yards away. In 1252 in The Whaler, you have both the finest view on Maui and the quietest location in The Whaler.
