Kaunis palautettu siirtomaa Centro Historicossa

Casa Serenassa on kaikki kolonialistinen viehätys, jota odotat täysin remontoidussa kodissa Merida's Centron sydämessä. Se sijaitsee vain muutaman askeleen päässä Merida'sin englantilaisesta kirjastosta.

Tämä siirtomaa-koti sijaitsee ihanteellisesti tutustumalla läheisiin taidegallerioihin, puistoihin, historiallisiin kirkoihin ja museoihin, mutta myös lähellä paikallisia kauppoja, kahviloita ja kulinaarisia ravintoloita, joista Merida on tullut tunnetuksi.

Tervetuloa sinut kotiin aulassa ovat korkeat puiset kattopalkit, restauroidut antiikkiset ovet, pasta laattalattiat ja suuret avoimet tilat. Löydät tämän viihtyisän kodin, joka on sisustettu tyylikkäästi ainutlaatuisella Meksikon taideteoksella, jonka omistaja kerää seinät ja pöydät koko ajan. Aivan eteisen vieressä on ensimmäinen kolmesta hyvin varustetusta makuuhuoneesta, joissa on oma kylpyamme. Koti nukkuu 6 henkilöä. Seuraavaksi on mukava olohuone rentoutumiseen lukemalla, kuuntelemalla musiikkia tai katsomalla kaapelitelevisiota. Tämä johtaa sekä sisäiseen ruokasaliin että keittiöön. Kolonnin reunustama keittiö on kodin keskipiste, ja sen silmät ympäröivät vaivattomasti sen ympäröivää sisäpihaa, uima-allasta ja ulkoa. Moderni keittiö on täysin varustettu täyttämään kaikki tarpeesi loman aikana, ja siellä on aamiaisbaari keräämiseen tai syömiseen. Uima-altaan äärellä on jopa grilli, joka lisää ruoanlaittoon liittyviä tarpeita.

Tämän kodin ulkotilat, joissa on trooppisia kukkia ja hedelmiä kantavia kasveja, ovat useimpien asiakkaiden rentouttavia, kun he eivät tutustu historialliseen kaupunkiin tai lähistöllä oleviin mayojen pyramideihin, museoihin ja cenotesiin. Lisäksi 6 jalkaa 15 jalkaa suodatettu allas keskellä pihalla on kaksi ylimääräistä kattoterassit nauttia. Keittiön yläpuolella on juuri valmistunut, makuuhuoneen sviitti, josta on näkymät altaalle ja jossa on oma kylpyhuone. Viimeinen allas, eristäytynyt takana omaisuutta, on erillinen Master Suite ja kylpyamme. Tämä makuuhuone on täydellinen paikka saada kiinni hyvin ansaitusta unesta.

Casa Serenalla on pitkä historia, joka tarjoaa vierailleen keskeisellä paikalla sijaitsevan retriitin historiallisen Merida-keskuksen keskellä.

Spacious and comfortable casa in great location!

We enjoyed our 10 day stay here very much and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional casa in Merida. The pool was really nice to have to cool off on hot afternoons.

Great location

We loved our stay in this area. We walked everywhere and were very comfortable in the home. 5 adults (2 couples and one single) and enough space, bathrooms and little areas for alone time. We would definitely rebook when visiting Merida again.Thank you.

Great location, large property

This home is amazing. Having a pool to cool down in was great. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The layout of the property was great for two couples. With plenty of space to ourselves and nice common areas.

Great stay

This was our first time to Mérida. The home was lovely and very spacious. We enjoyed the pool in the warm afternoons. Each bedroom has an air conditioner as does the tv room. The house gets very warm (it was 100 degrees F outside) but there are fans and a cross breeze. We only used the aircon at night when we slept. We would definitely stay here again. The location was close to everything. We love to walk but also took a cab or uber a couple times.

Great Stay

We traveled as 4 adults, 2 couples, we really enjoyed our stay here, the location was great, easy walk to get to pretty well anything we wanted to do, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Close proximity to bars did mean a bit of music noise, but hey, you're on vacation, it did not bother us at all. The set up of the house would work perfectly for 2 or 3 couples traveling together, each would have their own space/bathroom plus an extra bathroom out by the pool for pool days which was definitely necessary with the Marida heat! Was very handy having laundry available on site and the place was kept clean, would stay again if traveling with other couples again!

Incredibly Charming House

This place is even more charming than the photos. Our family of 5 loved staying here for a few days. The separation of the 3 rooms is perfect for privacy. The outdoor space is lovely and the rest of it is equally fantastic. Great location just a couple blocks from tons of restaurants and bars. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Magical place to stay

Everything in the property evokes history. Gorgeous design, tiles everywhere, loads of privacy between bedrooms, three separate decks, birds singing in the trees, a well-appointed kitchen to cook in, A/C for when needed... utterly perfect. 10.minutes' walk from the main square, and 5 minutes from Santa Lucia park. Icing on cake if you are a jazz/ blues fan: a stone's throw from Dzalbay, where patrons don't say a word during the sets. Heaven!

Wonderful place!

Our family of four fell in love with Casa Serena! The house is more beautiful even than the photos - we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking (buy your own groceries though), and the plunge pool made for relaxing afternoons and evenings. The location is excellent - we walked everywhere and loved seeing Mérida this way. We would definitely stay here again!

Historical, well stocked, comfortable--perfect!

Three adults--ages 38 to 79, each with an introvert's need for their own space, and a family desire to have time together. This house met our needs! The plunge pool is great after walking around this beautiful city all day, or after an excursion to Uxmal, or the cenotes of Mulkuyche, and the museums. The house is an excellent example of preserving the old--we hung our new hammock from hooks in the walls--to having an excellent kitchen, well stocked, where we cooked either lunch or dinner, because one meal out a day is our favorite pattern. We'd come again. Communications were great. The location is great for walking to parks, to the Gran Plaza, to museums, to shopping areas, to the Mercado. ¡Hasta la proxima!

LOCATION CLEAN COMFORT BEAUTIFUL

Wow, this was a great stay for me and my family of 5 ! Kids loved the pool and doing yoga at sunrise on the roof top, wife loved to be 5 min walk from the main square, great restaurants, massage, etc, mom loved the open kitchen with all appliances she needed and her beautiful bed room and great bathroom. And I loved the bar at the corner with live music every night, plus two more bars all in walking distance and super safe. I also used the bbq to do some carne asada while everyone was enjoying different parts of the house. Great also to be able to park the car in front of the house. As I said, very safe at any time of the day and night. Also, the communication and support from Gregory and the property management company was stellar! Did not have to wait 5 min for a reply and when we had a minor issue with an appliance they fixed it just a few hours later. The house was very clean and great pressure from the showers. We will certainly be back ! Thank you Gregory !

What a glorious house, complete with courtyard plunge pool, 3 very nice bedrooms, 18 foot ceilings throughout, lovely period furnishings, several terraces..located in vibrant Centro. Particularly enjoyed restaurants in Saint Lucia square. Would like to return…

Colonial comfort

This has been one of the most interesting experiences in my travels so far! The architecture, planning and how all works together just blows my construction mind in pieces. Simple solutions that work extremely well in this hot and humid climate. Aside from that the place is super clean, quiet, comfortable and close to everything. The semi outdoor kitchen is very well stocked up so you can create the most difficult meals after. No need for A/C but the pool is a blessing! Many thanks tho the host and super attentive DH team!!!! This has been remarkable experience!

A well managed property

This is a beautifully restored and well-kept house and the photos do it justice- though we missed the outside dining table. Communication with the management team was excellent and a small problem was fixed very quickly. The location was good for walking to most of the places of interest and to many restaurants. The lack of a nearby grocery store was a drawback, especially if you don’t have a car. It would have been great to have a few groceries provided rather than having to search for a restaurant after a long flight. We would certainly recommend the property for peaceful stay right in the heart of Merida.

Rain didn’t stop us

WiFi info they sent didn’t work but we figured it out eventually. AC in main room didn’t have a remote that worked so we had to use the one for the bedroom next to the main room. Bedrooms were huge and the AC worked great in each room. Just keep the doors closed and it cools off quickly. The kitchen has no AC but that was fine because we didn’t cook. The keys to the place were a bit persnickety but my husband used some oil to remedy that. Felt very safe all over Mérida and we walked a lot. Found some nice out of the way places to eat. Remember, as nice as the place is, it IS Mexico. You can’t put toilet paper in the toilets…. Parts of the home are open air. We were happy with it though!

Great property with some small caveats

Lovely property (with character!), ideal location, very clean. The location in particular was very convenient and walkable. While we did not have a car during our stay it appeared as though street parking would have been fairly easy. My biggest caveat is that, depending on your family, it may not be ideal for children. I was under the impression that two bedrooms were in the same building, and that the third bedroom was in a separate structure/level. However, all three bedrooms are very separate, separated by the courtyard and pool. Neither my son or I was comfortable with him being so far away -- in a separate building essentially, with a deep pool in between and we would not have been able to even hear each other from the separate bedrooms. No issue at all for adults (probably even ideal!) but most likely a problem for most folks with small children (my son and I ended up sharing a room, and the third BR went unused). Also, two AC units didn't work. It took a couple days for a response, at which point someone was sent who was able to fix one unit. They said they would have to return to fix the other but at that point we were near the end of our stay so I declined. The place is clearly very well cared for but would suggest they test all AC units during the cleaning process.

Great place, great location, great hosts

We had a great weeklong stay. It was great to walk everywhere, the area and Merida in general is very safe. The house is very comfortable and well stocked with everything. There is a bar nearby that you can hear music from, but it did not bother us at all. The hosts are very helpful with clear directions.

Die Aufteilung der Räume war sehr gut. Die Einrichtung geschmackvoll. Nur am pool lag eine kaputte Poolnudel und die Pumpenabdeckung war nicht mehr sicher, nur lose Bretter. Das muss dringend repariert werden.
