Disappointed by Lack of Responsiveness and Basic FunctionalityWe stayed at this VRBO for 8 days. While the condo itself was nicely appointed, our experience was significantly disrupted by a broken refrigerator that remained nonfunctional for 6 nightsâand was still broken when we left. The owner did send someone the day after we reported it, but the issue wasnât properly resolved and the fridge never worked during our stay. We spent much of the trip juggling bags of ice, mopping up water, and trying to salvage what we could. Unfortunately, most of our groceries spoiled, which was both costly and frustrating.The owner offered 500 in compensation, which didnât even cover the cost of the ruined food, or having to go out for meals. When we expressed that this wasnât sufficient given the disruption, she told us we had already received a good rate and that she couldnât do more. After that, communication stopped entirely. My biggest regret is not checking out immediately upon arrival to a broke fridge with water leaking everywhere! Additionally, the beach was unusable for the first few days due to hurricane aftermathâunderstandable given the weather, but worth noting for timing your visit.Overall, while the unit itself was pleasant, the lack of a working fridge and the dismissive handling of the issue made this stay far more stressful than it should have been.
