Laurel Creek Cabin

Kalenterimme pÀivitetÀÀn reaaliaikaisesti ja meidÀn yöpymiset nÀytetÀÀn tarkasti. SyötÀ vain haluamasi pÀivÀmÀÀrÀt ja napsauta "Varaa nyt!"

Me, my Wife and my 2 teenage kids stayed at this beautiful cabin and visited Helen. It was absolutely perfect!!! It was clean and comfortable. The creek side setting and the fire pit were perfect and the Hot Tub was I nice added touch. We will definitely stay here again!!

Great escape!

The entire backyard was awesome! Firepit, meals on the deck, lounging in hot tub - all while looking at and listening to creek! Very private yet close to many things. I'd definitely stay here again.

Perfect quiet getaway

This was our 2nd time staying and we're glad we did. Its the perfect location, quiet and away but close to town. Loved just sitting and listening to the creek. Home was neat and clean. Hot tub was clean and in great repair. Only thing of note that didn't bother us but may you, the bed on the main floor is very tall. We Loved the added touch of the qr code house info. Wifi/tv worked well and was faster then expected, we experienced no buffering. Wildlife triggered the motion lights a few times but it reset quick. Overall a wonderful stay.

We spent our 19th anniversary here.

The residence is situated on a secluded road, with a picturesque river creek at the rear. Upon arrival, the property was found to be generally clean. However, my stay was marred by the development of folliculitis, a hot tub rash, two days after departure, necessitating antibiotic treatment due to bacterial contamination in the hot tub water.

Awesome stay!

We loved everything about this cabin! Right by the creek, it's even closer than in the photos. Minutes away from downtown Helen, we ate at the Troll Tavern and it was amazing. Someone is really showing this place love, the inside and hot tub were very clean. We didn't need to reach out for a thing during our stay. Highly recommended and we are already planning to book again!

Great Anniversary get away

Quick Getaway

The house was in a very quiet and relaxing location. The creek in the backyard was soothing. I booked the house with intention of using the fire pit, but we didn’t get around to it. We did use the hot tub, which was relaxing after a day of hiking. Check-in and out was very easy, and the house was as described. Definitely recommend!

This is the perfect little piece of paradise!You are close to the main road, but you don’t hear much road traffic. Just the occasional car on the road above the house. I do suggest using Google Maps, Apple Maps brought us to the next road and said that we had arrived. You are 7 minutes from Unicoi State park and downtown Helen. Both places I highly recommend going to visit! The creek was a wonderful sound and view. There is a picnic table with a small grill and fire pit beside the creek. We did not use either, but both areas are well loved from previous guests. There are stairs leading to the back property from the back porch. The back porch is screened in and holds the hot tub. My group did not use the jacuzzi, so I can’t properly review that amenity. The property does not have a washer or dryer, but I think they might have plans to add them at a later date. The area in front of the house and around the cabin is very well lit! They do have cameras on the outside property, but we never felt our privacy was invaded. The upstairs loft is not private, it’s open to the living area. I suggest traveling with company that you enjoy. I can go on forever about how cute and clean this little cabin is, but I’ll stop! We will definitely stay here again!

Great location but the (not) hot tub was really disappointing

Super close to Helen and hiking and easy to get to. However we chose this home to rent due to the fireplace and the hot tub. Thankfully the fireplace worked great but the hot tub was not warm enough. Quite disappointing. There was a fire pit and charcoal grill outside that we used - if it had been warmer we would have spent way more time at the lovely creek area! So nice back there. Everything in the house was just ok - bed, couch, seating. The water was hot and had great pressure. I would stay here again if I knew the hot tub was 100%, good little place.

What a great experience

This home was perfectly clean! I drive an ev and didn't have a tesla adapter so I just lvl 1 charged at the house plenty enough room for a short cord. Furthermore the location was perfect, everything we wanted to do was within a 5 mile drive. The creek in the back was a really nice touch to the stay. All in all I hope it has availability the next time I stay it was perfect. I will say the road to get to the house is 1 lane and any vehicle will do just fine. It is a little bit of a tight squeeze for the drive way but shouldn't be a problem.

2nd Stay

Our stay at the cabin was awesome! The cabin was great during our first stay in July. Though there were some needed improvements, which were addressed. This is a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. A return trip to this cabin is a certain. Thanks for the experience.

Disgustingly dirty

We checked in at midnight and were greeted with linens with hair on them, baseboards caked in hair and dirt, dirt and dust everywhere and under ever surface and hair balls rolling around the home. We contacted Vascasa multiple times and they keep telling me the local representative is the only one who can help. The local representative seems to either not be real or not care because they haven’t been impossible for corporate or for me to reach. We were unwilling to stay there and ended up canceling our vacation due to the disgusting filth. So far i have not been offered or refunded my stay and am only being given the run around. Do not rent this property.

Peacful

Perfect place for a quiet stay. The internet did not work but i was able to connect my hotspot to the tv in the evenings for the kids. The sofa bed is tricky to open. Otherwise the place was very clean. I'm looking forward to booking again maybe for Thanksgiving.

Disappointing

The location was great, however the internet did not work. We reached out to Vacasa multiple times and they acted as if they were working on it. Then we realized that there were previous reviews stating that the internet would not work. The cabin was not very clean when we arrived. There was food in the drain of the kitchen sink that we had to clean out before we could put the stopper in and a pile of dirt left.

It was very nice, secluded and private. Hot tub was not cleaned, had sand in it. Wifi was spotty, couldn't keep phone or tv connected to internet. Sofa needs to be replaced. Beautiful view of creek from porch. Nice grill. Nice firepit & chairs for fall/winter. Minutes from downtown Helen. For a quick weekend getaway it was okay.

Wonderful experience

This place was somewhat magical, it's a little hard to find the dark though so I would suggest when driving there, drive during the daylight! There's a sign on a tree that you wouldn't see at night. It has a perfect little creek behind it and a fire pit where it gives off the impression that you are 100% in a different world especially if you have to deal with the daily grind. My favorite part about this day was the sunset on the creek behind the place. It was absolutely wonderful, beautiful and very snug. Absolutely exceptional time, if you like hiking this is also a great place if there's several places to hike around you within 10 minutes
