Sunset Paradise - Sunset and lazy river views!

Make your memories at Sunset Paradise! The sunsets over the bay from the large private balcony are absolutely breathtaking!

This condo is bright, cheerful, beachy, and just a really spiffy condo! This one is perfect for everyone! It's on the first floor right in from of the lazy river which is heated in the winter. It has wood tile floors, features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and covered parking with an elevator.

- Birders, relax on the large private balcony and watch Roseate Spoonbills, Egrets, and Herons in their wetlands natural habitat
- Fisherman, the bay is only 12-18 inches deep- you can wade right out close to the condo
- Couples, enjoy the privacy of your own rooms to retire to at night after a day of enjoying the community together
- Families, let the little ones play on the splash pads or float them along on the lazy river. There are weekend crafts and activities for the kiddos as well.
- Winter Texans, this can be your piece of paradise for an escape to tranquility and peace.

This condo is located in the upscale Pointe West community on the bayside and is next to Coastal Waves Vacations rental called Splish Splash. Reserve both for larger groups.

Coastal Waves Vacations has no control over the functionality of elevators as they are maintained by the condo association.

Pointe West Beach Club

Spend a wonderful day at the pool or beach at the luxurious Pointe West Beach Club. Pointe West offers numerous amenities including, an infinity pool, a children's pool, a lazy river(heated in the winter), a fitness center, concierge service, beach rentals, a gift shop, and a restaurant. The Resort is independently run and charges $25 per person, (4 years or older). The use of the Beach Club is optional. The access fee is paid by credit card or cash directly to the Beach Club and is not included in rental rates.

The community is easily walkable. Golf Carts are a great way to get around as well. However, golf carts dune buggies, or any other types are vehicles are not allowed on Galveston beaches, dunes, or wetlands; this is city law!

We arrived to an uncleaned unit and were asked to leave for almost 2 hours while they had someone come out to clean but I spoke with Ian who apologized and said they would refund half the night due to the inconvenience. However, they only gave us (4) towels to shower with even though we have (6) guests registered and when we pulled the comforter down to go to sleep later that night … there were black spots of dirt or something on the sheets. Not ok. There are gnats everywhere, to the extent we had to go out last night and purchase traps. One of the strips in the master bathroom has over 30 gnats stuck to it and they are still covering the mirror. The AC unit showed it was on 75 degrees when we first arrived so I turned it down to 70 degrees as suggested on the paperwork. Last night, it went up to 76 degrees while we were trying to sleep. We turned it to 72 degrees this morning thinking it needed a little more time to cool off, but now it is showing 79 degrees inside … so I called Ian again to ask for someone to come fix the AC and please bring us towels so we don’t have to share after showering. Those requests brought out a different side of Ian who made commentary that the guests usually freeze out the a/c unit and we would need to turn it off for two hours and then see if that corrects the issue; otherwise they will charge us for the service trip! When I said, they shouldn’t be charging us; he was RUDE and then proceeded to hang up when I asked to speak with his boss!

The condo was great, there were only a few things that were not ideal, we did arrive 30 minutes early, i called and asked if me and my grandson could go in since we went and bought groceries, the lady was very kind and helped us with the door lock and we were able to enter the condo. It was warm in the condo but it was a relief to get out of the heat. The condo AC was set to 75 it finally cooled down to 73 by the 2nd day. I set the temp to 72 but it never reached 72 until after dark but it was comfortable. The refrigerator was not cold it took 2 days for it to get up to temp to keep our food and drinks cool, our small dog eats fresh pet dog food and has to be refrigerated, it went bad so we had to go find more due to the refrigerator taking so long to cool down. The kitchen faucet kept dripping but after 3 days i figured out how to get it to stop dripping . The shampoo/ conditioner and bath soap dispensers were empty so we ran to dollar general and got what we needed. These things i mention above were minor, we enjoyed our stay. The condo is right behind the pool, it was perfect for us. The condo itself is very family friendly and dog friendly . There were 3 bedrooms , plenty of space and the tv had plenty of channel apps like Netflix, disney plus, prime tv etc. we spent alot of time on the balcony watching the beautiful sunset. We went to the pool everyday. Icecream truck comes by around 3 pm to get ice cream. It was a lovely experience. I would recommend this condo!

Wonderful Father’s Day Weekend Stay!
This condo was very clean, decorated tastefully, and is a prime location with a view of the bay and pool. We very much enjoyed watching the sunset from the balcony one night and from the lazy river pool (just steps away) the next night. This pool is very fun for young kids bc there are shallow areas and the lazy river while small, was super fun. We are a family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 kids (8, 5, and 1.5) and it was the perfect amount of space. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful master suite, our boys slept in one room and we slept the baby in the other guest room in the pack n play. There were ample towels, soap, tp, etc for a two night stay. This was our first time to the Pointe West Community and WOW!!! It’s literally paradise! We grew up in Louisiana going to Destin/Pensacola….the Galveston beaches we have visited over the years left us yearning for the FL beaches we grew up going to. THIS is the first time staying in Galveston where I couldn’t have cared less about the FL coast! The beach here is pristine - SO clean, no seaweed or trash. The water was blue and clear! We were so impressed!!! We are already planning our next trip back to Pointe West and dreaming of owning our own condo here one day! The Beach Club area is lovely too. Amazing view at the infinity pool looking out at the gulf. Even if you are staying on the bay side it is very easy to drive (3 mins) to the beach club for beach/restaurant/pool access. There is covered parking underneath the beach club for this. The restaurant was great so was the service and very kind staff. 10/10 recommend this condo at Pointe West for your next visit to Galveston!
