Vuonna 1920 rakennettu ja vuonna 2017 kokonaan uusittu historiallinen kivitalo Confluencen alueella sijaitsee Casselman-joen rannoilla, missÀ se kohtaa Youghiogheny-joen ja Laurel Hill Creekin. Se sijaitsee puolen hehtaarin kulma-alueella paljon halutuimmalla paikalla.
Koti nukkuu 8-10, 4 ylÀkerran makuuhuonetta ja vuodesohva ei portaiden kiipeilyÀ vieraille olohuoneessa. SiellÀ on 3 kylpyhuonetta.
Koti on viehÀttÀvÀ ja tilava, ja siinÀ on parkettilattiat. Vaikka kaikki on uutta ja nykyaikaista, melkein sata vuotta sitten rakennetun kodin hurmaa löytyy. Upouudessa, hyvin varustetussa keittiössÀ, joka on avoinna upeaan ruokasaliin, se on tÀydellinen koti perheille tai ystÀvÀryhmille kerÀÀmistÀ varten. This was the most perfect place for a six girl gathering. We stayed here to be in the center of all things outdoors - biking and hiking! The house is beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed. We spent most of our time outdoors at the firepit or on the couches in the evening. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

Perfect Riverside Getaway!

Plenty of room in this renovated historic house. We really enjoyed having enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in our party. We also enjoyed the outdoor amenities - the front porch, fire pit area, and fishing in the river. This was a great location for a "home base" for our bike trip.

Wonderful Getaway!

We gather with friends once a year at this house and we love it. The house is wonderful with so many areas to gather and connect. It also has plenty of privacy and places to be alone for a bit. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and eating together. The location is fantastic- right by the river. The house is well-equipped and always very clean. There are a lot of interesting features to the house also.

Stone House

The house was very nice and quaint, beautiful location. The only two complaints I have are that the dining table was dirty, it has grooves that are filled with crumbs and who knows what, and the bbq grill was a disaster. Falling apart inside and just bad. Overall the stay and the place are tea nice, and the host was very nice and helpful.

Homey Retreat

This stay was perfect for our needs. The gas fireplace and cozy couch allowed us to really relax and spend meaningful time together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a bigger group (dishwasher a huge plus!) We had a lovely time in this beautiful old house :)

Wonderful Property

My husband and I stayed here with four adult children and this house was perfect! Everyone had room to spread out, if needed. And the family areas perfectly accommodated our needs for cooking, dining, playing games, and just hanging out in front of the fireplace! Property was clean, had all the necessary kitchen items, plenty of linens and towels, and a great atmosphere. Plus, the view off the back of the house is beautiful. It was about a 40 minute drive to Seven Springs (with snowy roads). You can walk into town really easy. Just a great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Lovely relaxing place

The house was clean and quite comfortable, well appointed, and we enjoyed the firepit and hot tub each evening. Neighbors are close by but they were very nice and shared their firewood with us. It's a small rural area, with several Frank Lloyd Wright houses nearby that we visited. Kara was very helpful and responsive to any questions. Altogether a lovely relaxing visit!

Peaceful Stay Along the GAP!

After a long day on the GAP we loved the peacefulness of the Stonehouse! This updated, gracious 100 year old house, in an old, quiet neighborhood was thoroughly enjoyed by our group of 4 women! Each of us had our own room and there were 3 bathrooms. As soon as we arrived in the late afternoon, we relaxed in the hot tub overlooking the river. What a luxury It was to spread out in the house. Wish we had planned ahead and brought food to cook for dinner. The kitchen has every convenience to cook a big meal. There wasn't a restaurant in town for dinner so be prepared for this. The beds and bedding are high quality and very comfortable! The train runs along the tracks across the river, but the stone walls are so thick we didn't hear any noise and slept soundly during the night.

Comfy Stay in the Heart of Confluence

My husband, myself and a friend "home based" at the Stonehouse for a long weekend while in the area to ride gravel and paddle the Lower Yough. The SH was perfect for us. The historical nature of the property and the beautiful setting between the Youghiogheny and Casselman rivers made for an especially enjoyable stay. We had plenty of room to spread out and could have comfortably handled more guests with the 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The kitchen is well furnished for actually cooking meals, and the outdoor hot tub was much appreciated after some adventurous cycling and paddling. In the heart of Confluence, the house is just a short walk to cafes, shops and the GAP trail. Owner Kara is a gracious host! We'll be back!

Fun getaway at charming Stonehouse

The Stonehouse was perfect for our boys trip/Father son weekend. The house comfortably fit 8 of us and had enough bathrooms to gets us ready without a log jam. The kitchen was well equipped and we made some awesome meals. We loved sitting out by the fire pit. Check in process was easy with great communication by the owners. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect home in a perfect little town

The house is beautiful and functional in a perfect setting by the river. Our three adult children and spouses joined us for the second year. We had a wonderful time. We love the fire pit and the hot tub by the river. It's so enjoyable to sit by the fire and listen to the trains passing by. It's so convenient to walk to River's Edge Restaurant, where we had dinner every evening. The house is clean, and the kitchen is amazing. Instructions are very detailed and clear.

Perfect 4th of July family get together!

This is the second time our family all met at Stonehouse for the 4th of July! We are a family of 9, ages 3-67yrs. This house is the perfect location for all the activities our family enjoys. It was also nice to have good, reliable wi-fi for those of us that work remotely. All the amenities of the house were exactly as listed with plenty of space for all. You know it is a successful vacation when everyone is talking about "the next time we come....."

The title says most of it, but there is also the GAP (best bike path I have ever ridden) and walking distance to The River's Edge Cafe - quality food and welcoming staff. We will be back - with more family members!

continued from Riverhouse.... ahhh the Stonehouse. One day my sister called and told me that the Stonehouse was for sale. Our parents almost bought this house when we were kids but they passed it up. I was forever disappointed because I already had a love for stone houses. I think my mom didn't like the kitchen. We weren't planning on another vacation rental, but I always had my eye on that house. I immediately called the realtor. She warned me that it was in rough shape. We took a look, came up with a plan for renovations (kitchen was ground zero) and decided to go for it.

When we purchased the Stonehouse, she was in bad shape (ask me for photos). Built in 1920 with local rock, she was sturdy but had fallen under disrepair over the years. It took a complete renovation to bring her back to life. From the hardwood floors, to moving walls to completely redesigning the kitchen and bathrooms to insulation to heating and air, to new windows and everything in between. I think she was worth saving and the final product is something we are extremely proud of. We hope you will enjoy your stay and notice the love and care that went into what you see today.

The Stonehouse has an inviting and spacious foyer, living and dining room with refinished hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen and bathrooms are brand new. The stone fireplace with gas insert makes the living room a great gathering space when you aren't enjoying the porch and backyard outdoor living space and hot tub. The view of the rivers is amazing with ducks and other wildlife flying by. One step out of the car from a long drive and instantly you are on vacation!
