Great layout for family groups and the backyard deck is outstanding (assuming the weather is good). The 2 bedrooms upstairs with a small rec room works well for teens or adults, would not be great for seniors or young children due to the steep stairs that are accessed from the garage.

Great family beach getaway

The main living area is ideal for conversations, playing games and enjoying meals with friends and family. The upstairs provides a separate space for kids and teens to hang out on rainy beach days. Close walk to the beach and golf course.

This was a great property. The house is very nice, and quite large which makes it good for a group. The primary suite/bathroom is spacious, and having 3 bathrooms was a plus. The kitchen is super well stocked and has all the appliances and cooking tools that we needed. The second part of the house is through the garage, and provided ample sleeping room with the two bedrooms and lounge area. The stairs from the garage up to this space are a bit steep (e.g. probably not suitable for small children), but were fine for us. The house did not have AC but it wasn't necessary, and it did have heat. The outdoor back patio is also incredibly nice with great landscaping. The living area with the fireplace and two massive couches and chairs was perfect for a larger group, and the pullout couch in the front room was another good option for a sleeping space. The location of the house is also excellent - right off the golf course, a short walk to the beach, and just down the street from the coffee shop, bakery, and wine bar. There were no issues checking in or out.

Perfect Gearhart Getaway

This lovely home was the perfect place for a birthday weekend with four girlfriends and sister-in-law‘s. we appreciated that we each had our own bedroom with comfy beds and large open living space to hang out. We absolutely love the fireplace and had it on the entire time during our stay. It made the living room so cozy. The house is about a 10 minute walk to the beach or you can drive your car right down onto it via a road at the end of the main street. it is a very quiet neighborhood. We liked being so close to Gearhart and visited several good restaurants close by, including the Pacific Café and the Osprey Café in Seaside. There are several really cute stores also in Gearhart for shopping. The house is perfect for a family or several couples, since there is a separate area above the garage with two bedrooms and their own living room. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. It was lovely!

This home falls well short of the worst review provided by Vacasa's website. Clearly, the reviews were censored as we found unattended carpet stains, delapidated furniture with broken arms and seats, walls in need of repair and paint, TV didn't work, and generally in need of maintenance. I cannot trust renting from Vacasa again.

It met our needs

We were a party of 8 that stayed for 7 nights. We loved the quiet location, loved and used regularly the decks in front and back, loved the nice big round dining table, loved the elk that strolled around a couple of evenings! There was a shortage of dinner knives. Other than that the kitchen was stocked well enough for our stay. Carpets could use a cleaning. At the time of our stay the living room furniture looked good but sofa and leather chair are very broken in and hard to get out for majority of our party. Beds had a range of firmness and everyone was comfortable. Per a text from Vacasa after an inquiry, when you arrive, check for 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 extra trash bags which is what is provided. If you think you will need more than that, plan accordingly. It did meet the specific needs our party had as far as layout goes, for which we are grateful!

Lovely home, close to golf and sand!

We have stayed at Beach Stroll Haven many times over the years. Some trips are with friends, and some with extended family. The house is well-equipped to accommodate everyone! The recent updates to the open living space on the main floor have transformed the home. As soon as you enter, the home feels bright, spacious and welcoming with a perfect, eclectic coastal modern vibe. My family members couldn’t believe it was the same house! We always enjoy staying here for the space it offers both inside and out. When traveling with our older children, the upstairs space is the perfect spot - we can’t hear a thing when they’re up there, which is nice for older guests trying to sleep downstairs! Outside, we love the front and back decks which are drenched with sun, making for pleasant mornings with coffee, and evenings dining al fresco at the large table. The new outdoor lounge furniture on the back deck is generous and comfortable - the perfect spot to play board games, enjoy happy hour and take a nap after a long day on the sand. The private, mature landscaping is also a wonderful addition to the home. A small fire pit area creates a fun gathering space! We love how close the home is to the golf course, and just a 10-minute stroll to the beach. There’s a dedicated walking path that winds around the golf course, which will leads you to McMenamin’s Gearhart Hotel and also beach access. It’s nice to have drinks and food close by when no one feels like cooking, or you just want to enjoy the view from the hotel deck onto the golf course. Staying at Beach Stroll Haven will not disappoint. It’s a wonderful location, there’s room for everyone, and it truly feels like home. Can't wait to return!

Dirty and Dripping Shower

When we first arrived walking in the patio door had numerous hand prints and smudge marks. Placed our bags in the kitchen and found sticky countertops and the refrigerator was not clean. I sent several photos to Vacassa and gave permission to have a maintenance person come fix the dripping shower head. No one ever came by to clean or repair. There was sand in the bed sheets.

Great family vacation home

Pros: We loved the big open rooms and big backyard. It was winter but the nice weather made for a great walk to the beach. Everyone had enough space to be apart and together when needed. Quiet and peaceful and a great location to have family activities nearby. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable and there were extras (shampoo and laundry detergent) on hand. Cons: The fireplace didn’t work and apparently hasn’t for awhile since the last guest tried to start the flame with newspaper. We had to vacuum the sooty paper to keep it contained. We called and I think the maintenance person would have come to fix it but it was a holiday so we made do. The furniture is pretty tired and needs updating. There were only 4 knives for thanksgiving dinner so we had to share. The coffee maker was pretty old and there was no coffee to make a cup in the morning. Hint: bring ground coffee. There are 4 channels for cable and no instructions for the remotes. There is Netflix and other apps available however. Overall it’s a greasy space that needs a little updating on the heavily used areas

The perfect family beach house!

We have been coming to Gearhart for 13 years, this is the 9th time at this house, which should tell you how much we enjoy it! We love the large open area downstairs, makes for a wonderful gathering place for everyone, as well as the large deck out back- those are our two favorite places!! We also love the fact that we can have separate time with the way the bedrooms and upstairs are laid out. Not too much has changed in the years we have been coming here, so we know what we have and what we need to bring. We were a bit disappointed that the extra fridge that was in the garage is no longer there, so we had to use coolers for drinks. Not that big a deal, but would have been nice to have. And this was the first year that there was a lock on the bikes in the garage, we have always been able to use those. Thankfully we brought a few ourselves so we had some to use. Overall, another great vacation for our family and we look forward to next year.

Nice location but house had some issues

We loved the location, house was big enough for our group, and landscaping was nice. The house was mostly clean, but the house supplies were not the best. There was only 1 garbage bag for the 3 day weekend, the garbage was not Emptied from previous renters, and kitchen did not have alot of supplies. There were bikes that owner book said we could use, but they were locked up with no padlock code. We had issues with the upstairs toilet, and the upstairs smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Also, under the master bedroom floor there is some kind of pump that randomly kicks on and off. It's pretty loud, and woke us up the first night. Probally would not pick this house again unless updated.

Great vacation

The house is perfect for privacy if rooms and backyard and was clean! Met the housekeeper she was exceptional. The only draw back was no fridge freezer in the garage as listed that we could have used.

Great property for family group

We were very satisfied with our stay at this property. It is well stocked with family games and supplies for our stay. They provided shampoo/conditioner, hand soaps and dishwashing liquid. Area was nice and quiet and fairly close to places we wanted to go. Check in/out was very easy. The room upstairs was perfect for the teenagers. Would highly recommend this place.
