Inner warmth is a byproduct of having guests enjoy the opportunity to stay at my lakefront home in New Hampshire, something my recent guests stated they did. As this feeling of inner warmth on my part is greatly appreciated, I do whatever I can to provide my guests with a place that meets or exceeds their expectations. Nice to know my efforts are working.

The cottage was comfortable, quiet, and well-stocked. Bob communicated clearly and was flexible when our needs changed. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had another wonderful stay at Goose Pond. We have been there winter and now summer and highly recommend it any time. The house is comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for indoor and outdoor fun. Bob is a marvelous host, always responsive and with great local recommendations. We will be back!

There's an old saying that states, "treat others as you would like to be treated." That is our goal when we have guests stay at our lakefront abode in New Hampshire. Our goal is to have others enjoy our special place as we have done for many years. When they do so, it gives us inner warmth and lets us know their stay was a win-win situation for all parties concerned!

Bob was super helpful. We gave him all the things that we were looking to do with our time in New Hampshire was very on point gave us a lot of good information and allow to stay at his beautiful little cottage, which wasn’t all yippee like you would think as a lake spot it’s a nice cozy cottage on the lake. We were allowed to bring our dog and had a great time all the way around the kids loved it. The dog loved it. We loved it.

This is our 4th year at Bob's lake house and we love every minute of our time there. The house has everything you could possibly need for the week. We love kayaking, hiking and just enjoying the lake. My husband said this was the best year ever for fishing! We also love that we can bring our Lab who spends every minute in the water. Bob is an amazing host and we can't wait till next year.

Having Cindy and her family visit my abode on Goose Pond is pure pleasure! Knowing that they've enjoyed the ambiance of the house and the lake makes me "one happy camper." That's why I rent, so that others can enjoy a very special place that I discovered many years ago. Goose Pond has been a source of great fishing for many many years. To know that, after having the lake lowered over 20' for two years, the fishing is better than ever is nice to know.

We've enjoyed having Amy and her family as guests in our home. Having privacy and quiet on a 3.5 mile lake that is clean and not commercially orientated is one of the main features of renting our abode. Pleased they had the opportunity to do just that.

Beautiful well stocked lake house

Enjoyed our visit for a long weekend. House was welcoming for our family, cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake and some local hiking.

Lovely location on a quiet lake

It was a great location for post-Labor Day relaxation and well located for hiking, biking and kayaking. Bob gave us great tips on where to go. The view from the deck and dock is perfect!

Though our lakefront home is 12 miles from Dartmouth College, we’ve had the pleasure of renting it for Dartmouth graduations for many years. Thus, we’ve enjoyed having guests for graduation again this year. Our guests this year were most cooperative and we wish the well with their future endeavors.

Our stay at Heaven on Earth

Everything at this property was great. The host was very helpful from checking in to checking out. We had 6 people and we had everything we needed from start to finish. Hopefully, this property will be available for our next family reunion in Canaan!!

Lakeside beauty

This house is right on Goose Pond, a great location with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owner went out of his way to ensure we settled in well and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. I hope we can stay again soon!

Quiet cabin on a quiet lake

Spacious cabin with a great view of the lake from the living room and the large back deck, privacy from neighbors, dock to swim off of and not a lot of boat traffic. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Great find for family get-away!

Cool older home with fun collections, a blast from the past! Unfortunately the lake was drained but I can imagine how beautiful it would be. Several nice hikes in the area were a bonus for us. Plenty of room to spread out and a well appointed kitchen for home cooked meals. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I enjoy my lakeside New Hampshire abode and get inner warmth when I have the opportunity to share it with others. To have a family return for a second time, as this family from Brookline, MA has done, is special and I am twice warmed with their visit..........just like I am when I split my own firewood!

Great location and host

A fun classic cabin with an awesome lakefront location. Host was super, even penning a hand written letter with great info. Cabin is full of interesting artifacts. And held us 5 comfortably.. Just an FYI the kitchen is pretty classic but functional

Goose Pond Caanan NH

This is the 2nd time we have been to this awesome lake front location. We came to explore the beautiful area and fish on the lake. Christmas getaway

We had the most wonderful stay at Bob’s place. It was the perfect place for a snowy NH Christmas getaway. Suitably remote and picturesque yet close to many beautiful, charming towns for an excellent blend of relaxation and activity. The house was very well equipped and spacious. Bob was an excellent host providing us with great dining recommendations (listen to him and go to Ariana’s!) and general info on the area. We loved every minute and are already planning our next stay.

Tranquil Relief

This place is AMAZING!! I like to call it rustic chic! We have never stayed at a VRBO we liked this much. The owner is a wonderful man, who is always willing to assist you. Not only did we love it but our furry family members loved it as well. If you get to stay here, it's a real treat!!! Hope to be able to go back someday.

We had another amazing week at Goose Pond. We feel like we are at home when there. The pups get out of the car and head right into the water like they own the place. =0) We look forward to the years to come at Goose Pond.

Adorable house on the lake

We rented this house last minute and everything was ready for us. The owner was in contact with us and answered all of our questions. He was very clear about what to expect and how to get in. It has the coolest old fashioned decorations and is very cozy. Definitely recommend 👌

Relaxing vacation

This is our 2nd year on Goose Pond and have already booked for next year. We love relaxing on the large deck looking over the water, fishing off the dock,using the kayaks. and of course swimming . There's plenty of hiking nearby and lots to do. Bob is an amazing host, extremely easy to communicate with. The house has plenty of room and has everything you could possibly need . We only wish we could stay all summer!

Labor Day Weekend 2023

Great weekend spent with family. House was large enough for our family of 5 and 2 dogs with room to spare. Fishing was good for August. Enjoyed my morning paddle in the kayak and kids used other boats for fishing and exploring the lake. Dogs loved jumping off the dock and the shallow water area.

Goose Pond

We loved Goose Pond. The cabin and area exceeded our expectations. It was peaceful, quaint and comfortable. We were in the area for a Dartmouth graduation. The drive is about 25 minutes. And it was really fine, not super convenient, but a beautiful easy drive. I am glad we chose to stay at Goose Pond rather than a condo closer to town. We relaxed, we fished, cooked out and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Relaxing vacation

This was our 3rd summer staying at Bob's cottage, we look forward to it every year. We love just spending time on the deck and on the water using the canoe, kayaks, fishing and watching the wildlife. There was a bald eagle this year! The house has everything you could possibly need and Bob is just a text away if you have any questions. If you need to leave the lake there is plenty of hiking, shopping and restaurants nearby. My dog thinks it's heaven on earth and I agree!

Our lakefront home in New Hampshire is, at least to our family, a very special place to be and enjoy the many bounties of life.
