We enjoyed our stay at this property, it was clean, bright and welcoming. We loved that it is close to the beach and within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops of Whitby. The host was quick to respond to my messages and kept us informed with everything we needed for our stay. The only downside for us was that the building is a bit creaky, so when we were in the bedrooms, we could hear the upstairs tenants walking around.

The booking and check in process was not ideal. I had to contact Host & Stay numerous times for confirmation of booking, payment and finally to gain the key code for access to the property.The holiday home has not been adequately maintained.The cleanliness was poor. Congealed fat on kitchen extractor fan. Thick dust in other extractor fans.Dusty skirting boards, picture frames.High wattage electric fire plugged into extension lead.In adequate fire doors that were restricted from closing by either a door stop or thick pile carpet.The list, does go on!Host & Stay have discussed the cleanliness with the cleaners, who say the property had a deep clean last week!We have video evidence of all the issues we brought up with Host & Stay.

Fun dog and family holiday stay

Love that this holiday home is across the street from the seaside and the views were amazing. The home was clean, spacious, and cosy. All we needed was provided- bedding, towels, hand soap, tea kettle, dishes, cutlery, etc. A welcome snack basket, information binder, a nice games and DVDs, were a nice touch. We were able to walk into town close by for food, drinks, shopping, and tourist attractions. Our pup loved his playtime at the beach! Checkout was super easy. If you ever want to explore Whitby and the Yorkshire coast, this is a great home away from home for small families!

3 night break in March

Sunset View is a beautiful apartment with a seafront location offering amazing views. The apartment was very clean and had everything we could need for our short break, including private parking! There is a comfy leather sofa with 2 chairs and also a leather corner sofa to relax on in the evening, after a supper of fish n chips from the Magpie Cafe on Pier Rd The shower in the apartment is amazing and there's also a bath should you like a long soak after exploring the area.Wi-Fi can be an issue but there are plenty of DVDs to watch or perhaps download some content onto your devices before you go.I thoroughly recommend Sunset View and would definitely stay again!

Stunning views, nice place, poor service if you need help with an issue

Was a nice location overlooking the sea and cliffs, stunning views and as the name suggested.... the most beautiful sunsets. On first appearance it was beautiful inside, gorgeous bedrooms although there was a few dead flies, one on the bed one in the kitchen, kitchen and utility room lovely and the little seating area is great to sit out on the night and watch the sun go down but unfortunately we were let down a bit, the wifi wasn't working and none of me or my family

Our stay.

Property inside was very spacious. Reasonably clean. Unfortunately scaffolding surrounded the property. Although it was mentioned in the details it did have quite an impact taking out the outside space and car parking area. Parking is available across the road which is free 7pm till 9 am. The work on the roof should take about another 4 weeks. Overall we had a nice stay. The company did knock 10% after we complained. Lovely area made up for our small gripe.

Excellent apartment by the sea

Lovely clean, attractive, comfortable and well equipped apartment overlooking the sea in the West Cliff area of Whitby (just a 10 minute walk from the town centre). Property management staff were helpful and attentive. Our only gripe would be the requirement to take out insurance to cover potential breakages or to pay a non-refundable handling charge for a breakages deposit. Wireless details were out of date in the check-in information pack, however, the correct details are on the label on the back of the router (next to the sky box in the lounge).

Perfect place to stay to enjoy Whitby

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset View. It’s located opposite the beach with an easy stroll to the old town and local attractions. The property is just lovely with great views and facilities. The booking process and information about the property were excellent. The parking space is perfect. Whitby is super! We’d definitely come back!
