Kukui House
The property was good in some aspects, location, pool , washer/drier, TV, living room, friendly hosts.
Negatives needing attention; bathroom sink drain, dead rat on driveway (we told host, but it was never removed), dirty floors- dust bunnies/hair, chipped plates, protruding screw on bannister.
Perfect Beach Getaway
We spent an amazing week in the Kukui Suite and it was absolutely perfect for our party of 5. Full kitchen, bathrooms, living space, gorgeous deck and so close to the most beautiful beach on Oahu! Owners were great, offered advice on local activities to check out and were quick to respond to any questions. Definitely recommend!
Location with a pool
Pros: VERY close to Kailua beach (walked over easily multiple times a day with kids), pool (was not heated but my kids didn’t mind), gorgeous landscaping with trees and variety of native plants, friendly hosts, lots of beach things to borrow (chairs, coolers, Sun hats, snorkel gear, beach mats, boogie boards, etc) made our beach days much better, love the East side of the island - great beaches, hiking, beautiful sunrises!
Cons: parking is really tight and with full size rental had mere inches to spare on either side - bit of a daily frustration - hosts were helpful but just not enough room for three units to park easily, second bathroom for the unit is actually pool side not in the unit - good to have a second shower but very inconvenient, Kailua beach got busier on weekends - we enjoyed bellows beach as it was much less crowded most days.
Overall great place, hosts, and experience - would definitely recommend! Can’t beat the location!
