Great stay in New Hope area!

Our stay with Chip and Nancy was wonderful! We were visiting family nearby and the location was perfect for us. The property is well maintained, and the pool was great for our kids and nephews to use in the warm afternoons! Communication was great, there was some wild weather during our stay and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed to stay comfortable despite the weather. We hope to be back again soon! Thank you, Chip and Nancy!!

Great hosts

Originally booked this location so we could take our 4-year old to Sesame Place (about 25 min drive), explore New Hope, and enjoy the pool. This was a great location to do all these things!It was not quite the vacation we were expecting when a severe storm knocked out power to much of the town, including the rental. Chip and Nancy went out their way as hosts to stay in communication about what was going on and even hooked up a generator for our last two nights so we could still use the rental. They kindly discounted our stay given the circumstances which were beyond their control since you can't control the weather!The house was very cute, and was the perfect size for our family of three so our son could have his own room.The pool was fantastic, very clean, big, and so convenient. We all had a fabulous time there.Really is a great location because without having to travel far we visited downtown New Hope/Lambertville, Washington Crossing State Park, Kids Castle Central Park, Sesame Place, and Peddler's Village. Sadly missed out on Bowman's Hill Tower since it closed due to the power outage.Overall, the area is great, this little house is very charming, and the hosts will make sure you have a great stay, even if you have some unusual circumstances!

Incredible location

This was a perfect getaway for me and my husband. Amazing location with tons to do locally. We had lovely restaurants, shops and wineries. Really recommend the vrbo!

This place was the cutest! Quiet valentine celebration. It snowed and we walked the substantial property enjoying white, sparkling woods. We curled up by the comfy electric fireplace and enjoyed cooked meals in the more than adequate kitchen. Bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Hosts were wonderful about preparing our stay by salting the stairs and the deck to keep us safe and communication was easy and excellent. We are hoping to come back over the summer to enjoy it in the summer months. Highly recommend.

Charming Cottage, Gracious Host

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location, very clean and quiet, and the cottage had everything we needed to make for a restful time. Nancy, one of the hosts, is a lovely person!

So much history in the area was nice looking into. The entire area is quiet and so beautiful. We loved it. And our hosts made us feel welcome and right at home. We feel that we made a great choice

Lovely cottage

We really enjoyed our time in New Hope. What an adorable cottage! We loved the pool and tennis courts and our son really enjoyed the basketball hoop.

Hidden Gem!

My sister and I had a long-weekend getaway that was peaceful and self-paced. The private large kidney-shaped pool was perfect in the afternoons during this current heat wave. We were able to walk the natural paths on the property and visit the Wildflower preserve down the street. Peddlers Village and downtown New Hope were a short distance and restaurants were plentiful. Chip and Nancy were wonderful hosts. Nancy’s artwork added to the peaceful stay in the carriage house.

Lovely fall weekend getaway

This was such a nice, safe, cozy place to stay. Everything that you need was available plus some extra perks such as coffee/tea and a fireplace on a cold rainy weekend.Very clean! We didnt use the kitchen much since there are so many amazing restaurants nearby but it appeared fully stocked. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Very convenient short drive to downtown New Hope and our favorite, Peddlers Village! I highly recommend this place!

Girls weekend

Overall our stay was good. We especially enjoyed the deck where we had our morning coffee and talked for a couple of hours each morning. The deck was tree shaded and had comfy chairs. The inside was quite rustic. A few improvements could be made…mirrors in each bedroom would be nice. A recycling can would also be helpful. Chip helped us with our bags which was helpful and also gave us a bit of history about the place and the area. We saw a play at Bucks County playhouse which is well worth your time! We loved it!!

Perfect bike vacation retreat

The Carriage House at Harmony Hill was a perfect place for us to stay for a couple of days while biking in the New Hope area. The Carriage House is comfy, cozy, nicely restored. It was quiet, away from road noise, had a great porch for a morning cup of tea or an afternoon drink. Just what we were looking for. The biking going north and south from New Hope on both sides of the river was wonderful. A great base camp for exploration.

Aesthetically soothing!

As others have noted, Chip and Nancy are wonderful people. Chip gave us many good suggestions in New Hope and Nancy's art in the rooms adds to the cozy, homey, comfortable atmosphere in the stone house. It was just the right size for my husband and me. We enjoyed the deck and the pool (which is fenced in so very safe for children even though there's a road near it) and the close proximity to artsy New Hope. We hope to stay here again!

Perfect getaway

We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was so clean and cozy. Nancy & Chip were so welcoming and kind. We loved having the pool and the grounds. It’s so close to New Hope and Lambertville. We enjoyed walks on the canal and had delicious meals in both towns. We would recommend this place to everyone we know. It’s a little oasis. Just perfect for a quiet relaxing retreat. Thank you Nancy and Chip. By the way, Nancy is an amazing artist, just check out the artwork in the cottage.

Historic house with caveats

Lovely spot in a unique carriage house. sitting out on the deck was the highlight for us but if you paly tennis, I am sure the court will impress. For me the beds were too hard and the pillows where not comfortable. It was warm and none of the windows open The place is very rustic. This may not be a deal breaker for some but I prefer a little more comfort

Mother/Daughter/Mother's Day Weekend

My two adult daughters who have children of their own, and I enjoyed celebrating a lovely early Mother's Day weekend together. The carriage house was cozy and just the right size for us. Verizon service was a bit spotty, but we were able to use the Wi Fi provided. We enjoyed wandering around New Hope, visiting several wineries, and shopping in Lahaska. It was a very relaxing weekend that we all needed!! Thank you, Chip and Nancy!

Harmony Hill Stay

Really enjoyed the unique setting of this place. It is well set-up. This was a very convenient location for us as we were biking the river trails and trail access was right down the street, with parking. Also right next door to the Bowman Wildflower Preserve which was visited. You should be aware that there are really two beds, not three. But Chip put up a inflatable and put in additional air conditioning right away. He also was helpful with our need for an additional bike.

Listing could have been more accurate

I stayed with 2 friends for a girls’ weekend. The location is terrific, being a short drive or Uber ride into town. (We would recommend an Uber ride during peak season on the weekends, because the town gets quite busy and parking is hard to come by.) The listed stated 3 bedrooms. We all read that as three beds, plus an air mattress if needed. It is not 3 bedrooms, and there aren’t 3 beds. It’s a 2 bedroom house with 2 queen beds. The 3rd bedroom is an air mattress that needs to go in the dining area after moving away all the dining furniture. The apartment was clean, though the dishes should have been run through a dishwasher because we had to wash the glasses and coffee pot before using. There are limited supplies for cooking or storing food (no plastic wrap, tin foil, baggies, etc.). The pool was very nice, and we enjoyed a swim. Note that there are no lounge chairs. They are sand chairs that you’d carry to the beach. The table at the pool appeared to be wood, but we didn’t use it because it needed a good scrubbing. Overall, if the listing was more accurate, we would have given it 4 stars. The owners were lovely. They welcomed us upon arrival. We truly struggled with giving a critical review because the owners seemed so nice, but we really felt it important to give an accurate review for future guests. We suggest the owners clarify the listing. Thank you.
