The cottage was peaceful, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the WiFi worked well. Having the kayaks available to use was great, we really enjoyed padding on the tidal river near the high tide. The area is beautiful and we found lots of hiking trails nearby and in Deer Isle.

Cozy cottage with very good water views. Limitations: only 1 bathroom located downstairs from bedrooms and hill we had to navigate when going to/from our car parked 30-40 yards away.

We had a wonderful vacation at Driftwood Cottage. The host is very helpful and informative about the area and the cottage is clean, comfortable, and the location is absolutely beautiful! My favorite spot was the screened porch overlooking the water and those incredible sunsets.

Driftwood is a nice cottage set on the Bagaduce with great views over to Castine and the river. The house was comfortable and as stated. Checkin was a breeze, I would definitely rent again.

Lovely spot on the Bagaduce River. Great kayaking, bird-watching, walking and biking. The cabin is clean and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the screened-in porch. The host, Jane, was extremely helpful and responsive. I hope we can return.

The cottage was exactly as described. We really enjoyed hearing the Loons every morning. It was very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax. We actually thought about adding a day to our stay but had to get back to pick up our dog. We hope to visit again in the future.

Cozy, comfortable cottage in a gorgeous location. Tucked in the trees right on the river, it is cool even on warm days. The screened-in porch cannot be beat and is a great way to soak up the sounds of coastal Maine.

House was very clean and exactly as advertised. Very peaceful place - comfy bedroom. Kitchen is well-supplied. Owner was fast with some pre-arrival questions. Swimming and kayaking is hard due to the rocky shore so be prepared for a challenge. There is not much around there so this is a great getaway for unplugging and relaxing. Castine is close by and is a cute town with some nice eating options. Recommended.

Stayed over a long holiday weekend and loved every minute of it. House was super clean, fully stocked, everything looked as described. Windows open, fresh salty air, very private, very quiet! We even got our own personal fireworks show from the neighbors :) The only (good) surprise was no tv, but we didn’t even notice until we tried to watch the DC 250 fireworks- you won’t need it and will appreciate the break, trust me. Wi-fi and phone service worked. Very cool area, we explored, found swimming holes, hikes and plenty of nature preserves. Hosts were attentive but not intrusive, perfectly balanced. Highly recommend if you want tranquility and nature.

Amazing stay

I cannot say enough good things about this rental, the property owner, or the location. The owner was very responsive to any needs we had. The location was PERFECT, not just for access to the water, but also for access to local restaurants and. Would happily stay here again in a heartbeat.

A perfect stay

The cottage is just as advertised, and in a wonderful location. The owners are also great, and communication and check-in were easy. We had some great meals at Buck's nearby, and Cry Babies in Stonington. We highly recommend, but only if you're looking for a great stay in a peaceful, beautiful location.

My 18-year-old son and I spent a wonderful, relaxing week at Driftwood Cottage. This home is well appointed, with really everything we needed from cooking utensils to kayaks. It was so quiet there and an excellent lauching point for all our Coastal Maine adventures. Our host was very welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend Driftwood Cottage!

Amazing vacation spot

This cottage is wonderful. We weren’t sure what to expect since you never know just from pictures, but this place exceeded our expectations. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was very clean and we loved every part of it!
