Wildwood Cottage, Duluth, North Shore Private Wooded Retreat

Wildwood Cottage è una struttura di nuova costruzione, design moderno scandinavo, 3 camere da letto, 2 bagni, immerso nel bosco. Ci sono oltre 80 acri di terreno boschivo a sud della proprietà con un sentiero a piedi dal cottage al fiume Sucker.

Situato a 20 minuti da Canal Park e dal centro di Duluth, a 5 minuti da Stoney Point e Knife River Marina Beach, e 10 minuti da Brighton Beach lo rendono una posizione favolosa un miglio a nord del Lago Superiore e la North Shore Scenic Drive (percorso della maratona della nonna).

La casa è su un unico livello, con facile accesso in pendenza, inoltre tutte le porte sono larghe 3 piedi. I pavimenti sono tutti disegnati a mano e opere d'arte originali di artisti della zona riempiono il cottage.

Un bagno ha una combinazione vasca / doccia, il secondo bagno una doccia di buone dimensioni.

All'esterno c'è molto spazio per i giochi sul prato, oltre a una buca per il fuoco e le sedie davanti. Tutta la legna e la griglia a gas fornite.

I letti singoli x-long sono molto comodi per gli adulti e per i bambini. Giochi da tavolo, lettore Blu-ray DVD e Smart TV con molti film, ti aiuteranno facilmente quando vuoi semplicemente rilassarti.

La cucina è completamente attrezzata con quasi tutto ciò di cui potresti aver bisogno e i tuoi ospiti vivono a soli 1100 piedi di distanza e possono facilmente ospitare tutto ciò di cui potresti aver bisogno.

We had a wonderful time at Wildwood with our family of 6. The cottage is tucked in the woods, with privacy and great views. It is very clean, with all the necessities we needed for our stay. The cottage is maintained extremely well, with beautiful furnishings and decor. We hiked the trails and explored the river. Amy and Rita were perfect hosts and made sure we had all we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to return to Wildwood.

Gorgeous, but comfortable property which had us conveniently located for travels to Duluth or heading up along the North Shore. We had plenty of space for our family of 6 to spread out. The house was clean and perfectly decorated. The hosts were gracious and great with communication. Definitely recommend this for your family’s next stay.

The unit was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was completed stocked with anything you would need. You can't find a better host. The river is a short walk away from the cabin.

We had a great stay at Wildwood Cottages! I reached out to the host prior to our arrival and they were able to accommodate a simple request before we even got there. A bulb went out in the bathroom and they replaced it right away. Our whole family was excited about the river and waterfalls that were within walking distance. We could hear the rushing of the waterfalls before we could even see it! We saw several deer during our stay, some right outside the living room window. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The home is right between Two Harbors and Duluth. Will definitely stay again!

Great place with a great set up for family gatherings. Radiant floor heating kept us nice and toasty. Washer and dryer meant we could pack light. Functional space inside and out. Would highly recommend and return.

Great stay!!

We had the most wonderful time at the cottage! The waterfalls were a short walk and so beautiful. The cottage was very clean and a short drive from the highway making it easy to trek into Duluth or Two Harbors.Thank you Rita and Amy for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Great for a family getaway

We had a wonderful weekend away at Wildwood. The cottage is comfortable and inviting, situated in a winter wonderland with hiking and snow shoeing with our young kids.

A perfect place to stay!

Wildwood Cottage was the perfect place to stay for my family’s trip to the Duluth area! The house had everything we needed and it was so nice to relax each evening after a busy day of checking out the local attractions. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Duluth!

Girls' Weekend

This is the second year that we have spent our girls' weekend at Wildwood Cottage. Wonderful place to unwind and relax. It is close to Duluth and Two Harbors and we enjoyed both cities. So very happy we found this great cottage and welcoming hosts.

In 2012, Rita and Amy designed and built their own home, next door to the cottage, and in 2017, on the adjacent 10 acre parcel, cleared land, designed and built this cottage as our guest house. We are excited about being hosts to people from all over the world.

We love to garden and have a large vegetable garden at our home, and are passionate about cooking and baking. Rita is formerly co-owner and co-founder of the New Scenic Cafe which is only a few miles from the cottage and still the best restaurant in the region. Amy is a retired contractor and looks forward to turning her talents toward smaller projects, meeting and greeting guests, gardening, building a little jewel of a sauna, ... and the list goes on!

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

This land, purchased in 1993, was a 40 acre parcel totally landlocked, with no access to the potential building site(s). Rita built a half mile long road into the property and built her first home which she later sold in 2012 after subdividing so she and Amy could build their new home. Finding property on the great Sucker River was a goal and obsession for Rita as her grandma had a small log cabin upriver where Rita spent much time as a child. Later, her brother then created a cabin on the Sucker River where she spent time retreating from a busy life in the Twin Cities. Finding this glorious property on the Sucker River was serendipitous. (I'll tell you the story if you ask how I bought it sight unseen). It hosts the biggest waterfalls on the entire length of the river and hiking the woods along the River's Edge in the State Land south of the property is truly magnificent.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

This land is situated not only with the Sucker River on it, but it is set back from the County Road over 1300 feet offering seclusion and wooded beauty. The location just 20 minutes from Downtown Duluth and Canal Park, makes it the best of both worlds, private retreat and easy access. The location is 1 mile north of the Hwy 61 Expressway and the North Shore Scenic Drive (Grandma's Marathon Route). We are halfway between Duluth and Two Harbors, and a relatively short drive to many of the scenic rivers that flow into Lake Superior.
