Absolutely spectacular home, hosted by the wonderful Jennifer, who left a cookie basket for us and later actually knocked on the door (she lives across the street) to make sure we were all settled in.Sadly for us, a full day of rain kept us from the enjoying the lake, fire pit, etc. But the house was so cozy and comfortable we didn't mind staying in. (Do yourself a favor and carry out from Taqueria TC Latino Dos, which is less than 10 minutes away.)Two things to note:1. Checkout is at 9 a.m., which feels unfair. Jennifer allowed us to stay till 10, which we appreciated, but 11 a.m. is standard and 9 a.m. made us feel rushed. (To be fair, this is clearly stated in the listing; we'd overlooked it because this was our last of several stays up north, all with 11 a.m. checkouts.)2. Guests are required to -- among other things -- strip the beds, take out the trash, and load, run, and empty (!) the dishwasher. This is the sole reason I deducted a star. I would 100% stay here again except for this. Again, these requirements ARE listed, so my bad for not seeing them. But as a paying guest, it left a sour taste. If checkout was 10 a.m. and we weren't required to put dishes away, this would be five stars, 10/10, pretty much perfect. And if you know that stuff going in (and don't mind it), then it's five stars indeed.
