Yes, the quiet up here is very relaxing and a real contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. Another feature is the dark night sky that reveals a multitude of stars, and we all enjoy a good night’s rest in a comfortable bed after a day of activity.

We had a fabulous stay! The house had great room for our family and all the amenities we needed. We went for skiing and the house is only 25 minutes from Sipapu, with a Family Dollar along the way for anything we forgot or ran out of. We look forward to coming back to stay again!

We enjoyed our stay especially the outdoor area. The creek and fire pit were a great place to relax. We also enjoyed the hummingbirds everyday.

My family stayed for a week and we absolutely loved our stay! The creek in the backyard and hummingbirds on the porch were a wonderful bonus. The owners are very friendly and accommodating!

This place is good if you are traveling with pets. The backyard is well secured and the neighbors are far enough away that it isn’t a problem if your dogs are well behaved. There is a creek that runs through the backyard, which the dogs enjoyed. Location was good for us because we fished Pilar, Cimarron, and RR so it wasn’t too far. When we arrived, the power was out and we weren’t able to reach the host. Fortunately, it came back on shortly after we arrived. The properties around the house are a bit of an eyesore from the porch, which could easily be remedied with a fence. There are also building materials around, which detracted from the ambiance. If you are traveling with someone who is less mobile or older, they will have trouble getting to the fire pit and creek because the house is up on the hill. Limited shopping options, good gas station, limited cellular, good Wi-Fi. The house had all we needed, but there were clothes in the dresser drawers, which seemed odd.

Jim and Marilu were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. The property was an unexpected treat with a beautiful creek running through the backyard with hammocks and a fire pit on the banks. The house is gorgeous and full of Southwest charm. It was comfortable, spacious, and well-stocked. I can’t recommend this stay enough. We will be back!

Great getaway!

This cabin was perfect for our family! Very roomy and great outdoor space. There were a lot of extras with the house, games and toys for kids! Very nice owners and great area! We would stay there again!

Cabin stay

Christmas week

Directions were easy to follow getting to the property. Location was close to Sipapu. It was a quiet respit for our Family Christmas vacation!

This was a return visit for us. We don’t feel like our summer is complete without a stay at this mountain retreat. Hosts are terrific and always around if needed. The house is pet friendly and our dog enjoys trips to the creek every day to play in the mountain stream on property. We love the deck on back of the house. View is terrific. Laundry facilities are really nice to have. Kitchen is terrific.

Once again a wonderful stay

This was our second time staying at this home. It is perfect for us - everything we could need or want is provided. The hosts are wonderful people who work hard to make us feel welcome. Thank you again for a wonderful time -extra bonus this year was all the beautiful snow!!

Great property with fantastic views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space was large and well stocked with everything we needed. In addition, there were VCR and DVD players with a wide range of movies that came in handy after a long day spent skiing (in addition to streaming television access). Great location that offered a fantastic view. We will be staying again!

cozy place

The place is much roomer than the pictures. I love the layout of the place. The car port was nice since it snow on Saturday. My group really enjoy our stay. The host was always there when we needed them. I would definitely stay here again!

Stay for the creek!

The house was perfect for our family. Lots of space for all of us, and the perfect location for day trips around the area. We enjoyed coffee every morning, and after dinner time, down by the creek. We loved seeing the hummingbirds, yellow monarch butterflies, American Robins, and even a brave muskrat on the property. Necessities (coffee, hand soap, laundry detergent, etc. ) were provided, and we loved seeing the kids master the VHS and DVD players.

Great host

Our stay was wonderful! The home was clean and cozy. The host was an amazing person, very friendly and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We really enjoyed the conversation cards at the dinner table. It allowed great topics of discussion with our kids. Thank you for opening your home to us.

wonderful time

We booked last minute and everything went easy and smooth. Loved the place- especially the wood burning stove. House is well stocked and we really loved the welcome lemon cake. What a sweet gesture. Will definitely come again.
