We had a nice relaxing time. It rained most of our time there but sitting on the porch, watching the rain was so nice. Hosts are very accommodating and respond quickly.

It's so comfortable and homey, yes it's really right on the lake! Perfect get away, so quiet and peaceful, yet still close to Hartwick and easy to get back and forth for events. I can't recommend both the cabin and the hosts enough. They are easy to reach for questions, and then leave you to enjoy your stay. It really was perfect! It actually felt more spacious than the pictures show, I didn't even use the lower level at all but there's definitely room to spread out. I loved every minute here, it will always be my first choice when coming to Oneonta!

We had a wonderful stay at this place. It’s a beautiful balance of modern and rustic, with just what you need. Including a neat porch overlooking the lake, and steps down to the lake leading to a dock and 2 small kayaks, which we took advantage of, paddling out on the lake 2 of the 3 days we were there. The owners place is right next door, but they were not intrusive in any way, and we enjoyed chatting with them briefly when we had the opportunity. They have everything labeled so you know how everything works, and you don’t have to guess, which is nice. They don’t use a professional cleaning service, so you may have to put a little effort into cleaning on your last morning there, but we follow the ‘leave it as you find it’ principle ourselves anyway, so we really didn’t mind. The best part was that we could bring our miniature schnauzer with us, as they allow that. He had a blast and even went kayaking with us (we take him everywhere). We would definitely stay here again. Also, if you’re looking for a good breakfast spot while in the area, we found Jackie’s -just 10 minutes away- to be great; they have great food and nice people!

This place was great!! We used the kayaks, swam, fished & just relaxed! Our grandson played at Cooperstown Dream Park & it was really close, so we could go back & forth!! Just an amazing place to stay! I HIGHLY recommend this place!! Will definitely try to book this place in 2 years if our other grandson plays.

Awesome smaller lace with every you need. Bed was comfy. A complete kitchen for cooking and terrific view of the lake. We did not go down to dock. I’m sure younger couples would be fine. Our dog would have loved a swim and we brought her life jacket but we found a terrific doggie playroom to have her stay and get exercise called wild dog supplies and playroom. I would definitely recommend for small families and couples. Had a great time! The quiet and the beauty is amazing.

This place was perfect for us! It was a convenient drive to and from Dreams Park. The home was clean and the view of the lake was stunning. We didn’t have much down time, however we did get to kayak and fish from the dock. It was a great experience. The hosts have thought of everything to make this home a perfect getaway. We hope to be back in a few years!!

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The surrounding area is also great, filled with hikes and things to do. The hosts were also super helpful and communicative. Will definitely be coming back at some point, thank you for everything!

A cute little house right on the lake. We spent a weekend: one day was a beautiful, warm spring day, the next day it snowed! But either way, it was peaceful and cozy in this lovely home. Great communication with the owners who are kind and welcoming. Easy to get back and forth to SUNY Oneonta & Hartwick. Looking forward to visiting again!

Jeff and Lisetta were incredibly welcoming hosts. The house was beautiful and spotless. The kitchen was stocked with all the devices required for cooking. The bed was comfy, and the views of the lake were gorgeous! During a snowstorm, they made sure our walkway and our car was shoveled out. And in the face of some accidental damage due to our dog, they were very understanding and reassuring. Would highly recommend staying here!

Goodyear Lake

Very nice cabin right on the lake. Beautiful area with nice hikes along an old abandoned railroad. Hoping to come back for another stay soon.
