My whole group, ranging in age from 18 months to 67, enjoyed staying here! It has a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen which made eating in simple and efficient for the six of us. We loved the outside areas of the property and enjoyed walking around the pond and rocking on the front porch with our morning coffee. We will definitely keep this house on our list for future trips!

Fantastic stay for families with younger kids. Great location near the mountains and trails. The property offered endless space for the kids to explore, and they loved meeting the friendly chickens and cats. Jami was an awesome host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.The area is still recovering from hurricane damage, so some outdoor features and check-in instructions are a bit outdated, but Jami's hospitality made it a wonderful visit overall.

Thanks for the great response. Yes I do need to update a few things. The Check in is the same. We have added a fenced in yard and front porch gate. You can no longer drive to Douglas falls but most of the other trails are now accessible again.

The hosts were amazing and the property was very quiet. We enjoyed the chickens and cats running around. The rooms were clean; however, the property does need some repairs.

Thanks for sharing the property is quiet and clean. That is our main objective and what most people expect and desire. We were hit hard by hurricane Helene and still have some work to do on the property but none of that directly affects the experience. The chimney which was sealed off from the house years ago was damaged and does not affect the home,it needs to be removed and the downed tree will be removed when we have the funds but for now it’s a fun playground for the kitties.

I had a very nice, enjoyable stay here. It was neat seeing the chickens and ducks roam freely. I even got to help foster some kittens and mamma cat which was a lot of fun. Jami and Rachel were friendly and responsive. If you’re looking for a serene place to unwind I would highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful week at the farm house! Our family had so much fun exploring the property and enjoying all of the animals. The location offers easy access to a variety of family friendly hikes and activities - and it’s absolutely beautiful. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We even got some fresh eggs :) Highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The house was comfortable and the fenced in backyard was very convenient (I hope other hosts take note!). The trailhead is a quick drive from the house. The road transitions to gravel once you get to Pisgah but we were able to traverse it easy enough in a Honda Civic. The area has a nice calming atmosphere with the chickens, horses, and other animals and of course beautiful mountain views in every direction. Note to dog owners, there are other dogs around but while we heard thenm, we didn't see any roaming without their owners. Be aware that the do chickens range into the yard so I encourage you to stay aware and ensure your dogs mind their manners :)

Thank you so much for your response. We do have some dogs in the neighborhood, but they’re quiet through the night and most of the day. There are no free roaming dogs around here. They are all very loved and in their respective fenced in areas. Thank you for mentioning the chickens. I do let people know that have dogs that are staying here that the chickens do come up to the house, but we do require all renters to keep their dogs on a leash for that very reason. We have recently fenced in the backyard area for dogs and the front porch is secure for Dogs as well.

We had a great time staying on the farm, our hosts were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond for us. One of the best memories from our visit was sitting out ion the front porch as a thunderstorm rolled in… magical 🙌 I highly recommend staying here.

Quick Long Weekend visit

We had a last-minute trip and it was wonderful. The property was exactly as stated, and our host was responsive and kind. Would definitely stay there again. Our daughter loved the pond. We enjoyed the board games and just sitting on the porch.

This property was great! We are a family of 5 including 3 kids ages 10, 12, & 13. Our kids absolutely loved how much there was to do on site! They swam, fished, kayaked, and roasted marshmallows over the campfire after spending the days hiking at Mt. Mitchell and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are so many animals to interact with. I fell in love with “Larry” the resident tom cat, and my daughter and I held kittens that the property owner brought over. They also had chickens that hung out eating in the yard and goats in their respective corral. It was perfectly relaxing. We would definitely book this property again.

Great place to relax

We had a great stay; the house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with anything we needed. We also enjoyed the front porch, back patio area, the creek and pond on the property, and visiting with the goats and chickens. Easy drive to Asheville and really enjoyed being so close to the national forest. Very peaceful and relaxing, and we would definitely return.

Peaceful Getaway

The house was lovely—immaculately clean and quite charming. The surroundings were beautiful and we truly enjoyed the farm setting and beautiful views. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect—nearby hiking, short drives to Asheville and Black Mountain. Highly recommend!

Fabulous Vacation

Our family throughly enjoyed our vacation! The house was a great place to call Home for several days. Close to trails, waterfalls, Asheville, Weaverville to name a few. The cabin was clean and the owners super nice. They thought of everything to make sure our stay was great! Thank you Jami & Rachel!
