My regret is rhat we only stayed four days -- beautifilul location, comfortable and clean.It is 35 - 45 minutes from Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park. The road to and from the VRBO is beautiful and not too much traffic.The interior and exterior is very relaxing.

Robert is a former Army pilot who still flies for the love of it, and we spend our winters at an airpark in Texas before heading back to the beautiful Black Hills each spring. This stretch of the Black Hills is one of the most scenic and wildlife-rich corridors in all of South Dakota. We chose it because nowhere else can you step outside and fish for trout, watch bighorn sheep graze across the creek, and be just 1 minute from Thunderhead Falls — one of the most beautiful and visited attractions in the Black Hills. You're 15 minutes west of Rapid City, close enough for convenience but far enough to feel completely immersed in nature. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, and the Badlands are all within easy reach, making this the ultimate Black Hills base camp.
