Situato nell'angolo sud-ovest di un condominio ben tenuto, la nostra unità offre splendide viste del suono. Ci prendiamo molta cura della proprietà, volendo che i nostri ospiti si sentano a proprio agio e si sentano a casa. Sia sul ponte a sud-ovest dell'unità, sulla spiaggia incontaminata, o vicino alla piscina, c'è molto spazio per godersi il sole in una zona immersa nella natura.

Negozi di alimentari e numerosi ristoranti sono tutti a cinque minuti di macchina, e OceanAir Sports - un importante centro di sport acquatici sulle Outer Banks - è accanto. Questa zona è una delle più popolari località di kitesurf e windsurf del mondo, ed è altrettanto rinomata per la sua pesca. Un bellissimo canale dà accesso a Pamlico Sound e l'accesso pubblico alla spiaggia dell'oceano è a soli dieci minuti a piedi. Data la concentrazione delle terre protette federali e statali delle Outer Banks, ci sono ampie opportunità per la ricreazione basata sulla natura, e la storia della zona è leggendaria.

The windows and the endtables, coffee table and patio doors. Glass was very streaked and cloudy, dirty. But overall thought it was very clean. Vacuum canister should have been emptied. Extra toilet paper and more dishwasher pods would have been welcomed

Great location & sunsets

Very comfortable unit, facing the water, and beautiful sunsets! Great communication from the owner. We only stayed one night but loved the Avon area and would return again. We also enjoyed the PoHouse restaurant right next door.

We arrived after midnight the day of our check in only to find out that the code to unlock the premises did not work so we ended up having to drive nearly an hour back to the mainland to search for a hotel room in Nags Head which was no easy task the Saturday of a holiday weekend. Fortunately we did find a hotel so we did not end up sleeping in the car. To their credit the hosts of this property were quick to contact me the following morning and did pay for our hotel accommodations. We were able to access the property with a new code that morning. The property was quiet and very clean and comfortable. What we did find frustrating, however, was the multiple means the hosts kept in contact prior to checking in .. via text .. via email .. via VRBO inbox .. while we appreciated being kept up to date on things I think choosing 1 method of contact would be more helpful.

Great property and wonderful owners

The owners couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The condo is peaceful and attractive and has a lovely view of the water. It's close to shops and restaurants, but is set apart in a quiet area. It was a very nice place to stay.

Great place to stay!

Great location. Overall cleanliness was 5 stars. Only complaint I have was we had 2 rolls of toilet paper, one was half used, so it just seemed like they forgot to restock them. Property manager was really nice and responded quickly to any questions. Check in and check out was easy and was a smooth process. Pool was clean and maintained well. Definitely recommend.

Great vacation spot in OBX

Most relaxing vacay we’ve had in years. Kids (7 and 9) loved the location close to ice cream, the beach, and souvenir spots. Nice and quiet, plenty to do and beautiful property. Easy to check in, lovely place, comfy beds, super clean. Tedrowe and Marcia were super accommodating and friendly. It’s a highly recommended condo and we will be back!

Love this location!

This is our second visit to this condo in the last 3 months! Great location - love the view of the sound with the proximity to the beach. Also enjoyed having a wonderful restaurant that we could easily walk to along with a little shopping. We will return!

Tedrowe Bonner is trained as a sociologist and works globally in the field of regenerative development. He, and his work colleague Marcia Amidon, are currently working in Ukraine and in different parts of the United States. Their work ranges from land-use development through permaculture to consulting with governments on developing sustainable master plans.

Marcia is one of North America’s leading children authors and editors in non-fiction, as well as an accomplished pianist. She works with Tedrowe extensively on writing projects as well as project development for their work in regenerative development.

Tedrowe has been an avid sailor for many years and had a successful racing career. Like any dedicated sailor, he sneaks away for a session of windsurfing or kiting whenever he can; if you see him traveling with a long suitcase, it is probably is sailing gear. Marcia has decided to join this crazy journey, and has experienced the power of water in ways she never thought she would.

The Outer Banks carries a long and storied anthropological and ecological legacy that perhaps few places in America can claim. The oldest European artifacts in North America were found in the Outer Banks, and a thriving civilization of indigenous people lived very successfully for hundreds of years prior to Europeans’ arrival. The Outer Banks remains a vital link in the “Atlantic Flyway” for migratory birds, which speaks to its historical importance of biodiversity. For centuries these barrier islands have served as a critical haven for humans and wildlife.

Like native ancestors who arrived here from mainland tribes, we see this as an important place to vacation. In our modern interpretation, we have come here for years to windsurf and kiteboard, but really many threads remain of what transpired centuries ago. Ultimately, it is the nature and the people that make time here so compelling.

The properties we have selected allow us to blend community and activity as this part of Avon has developed into a hub for water sports enthusiasts. Moreover, we are striving to make vacations convenient, and it is viable to have a great time without ever needing to get in the car. Our rentals strike a great balance by being close to everything that makes a vacation worthwhile, perhaps not so differently than people who lived here a long time ago.

Most simply, our approach is to offer many of a hotel’s conveniences with all the benefits of being in a home. But, in reality our mission is far more extensive. The core purpose of our company is to help regions around the world create a path towards a sustainable future, where all human activity generates comprehensive health for all life on this planet. How we live – our homes – is an extremely important piece of this future, and we take it very seriously.

Our units reflect this work the best they can. We have installed some of the most advanced fans and climate control technology to improve indoor air quality and comfort. We have spent numerous working days researching soaps, cleaning products, detergents, and paper products that are good for the environment and for us. We have taken numerous energy and water efficiency measures that actually will improve our guests’ stay.

We hope that while sitting on the balcony with a cold drink watching sunsets and sailors, you will appreciate our efforts. This is an evolving project, and we appreciate your ideas and feedback.
