Perfect location

The location was perfect as our daughter lives in the neighborhood and it was an easy commute to their place. The Blue Saucer on the corner of Roosevelt and 92nd is a great little coffee shop

The cottage was perfect for my stay. It was very clean and was much better than staying in a hotel room for a week. The neighborhood was walkable and seemed very safe.

Grandma stay

A great stay for me to visit grandkids. Lovely yard and sitting area outside, which I used almost daily. Everything inside was tip top and clean. Walking access to coffee, restaurants and Maple Leaf park. Would love to return and stay here again!

Perfect for our quick visit

Lovely little “cabin” for our short visit to Seattle. This space was nice and quiet, private, and well kept. Enough room for us to stretch out and have a small meal. Plenty of parking on the street. Easy to communicate with the host. Thank you!

Charming Cottage and Gracious Host

Trung offered a comfortable studio cottage in a beautiful residential neighborhood within a short drive of several of Seattle's major tourist attractions. Trung himself was a gracious host who shared valuable information about the neighborhood and the city, and he helped patiently and thoughtfully with a wi-fi issue I encountered during my stay. I would recommend his vacation rental to any traveler without hesitation.

Great studio in a quiet neighborhood

My stay here was great. The property is quiet and well-maintained. The neighborhood felt safe. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed. The yard is beautiful, a great place to have a cup of coffee and read. Trung is a helpful and responsive host.

It was in a great location, the neighborhood was quiet and I felt safe enough to go running around the neighborhood. In addition, it was just a short drive to the light rail station. The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable about Seattle and responsive regarding the small issues encountered as well as good at communicating with us regarding the check-in process.The kitchen was small but had most of the necessities.And the entire place was clean and in good condition.

One room but perfect for one person. Quiet location behind garage. I did not cook anything, but there is a hot plate, microwave and dorm size refrigerator so you could. Owner very responsive.

Convenient and clean

Nice little apartment detached from main house very clean. I wish there was a double hot plate so I could’ve actually cooked some thing in the house, futon is a futon very uncomfortable, but other than that it was a great stay.

Graduation Getaway

My partner and I came from out of state to celebrate my best friend graduating from UW. She lives nearby in the Greenlake area so this location was perfect for quickly getting between the cottage and her home. It was cozy and gave us a mountain vibe while definitely being in the city. While the shower taking awhile to warm was a concern the first day- we found that running the bathroom hot water in the sink expedites heating the shower water up (idk how my partner figured that out but we are very happy lol). Overall we are very happy with our stay and the kindness from the host. We even talked about staying again if we come back this year.

Running the sink water helps if the hot water hasn't been used in awhile as the pipeline has to empty the existing cold water, as noted on our house manual. Once the hot water flow, it is unlimited with our on-demand hot water system. Come back anytime!!

First time to Seattle

Trung sent us the wrong agreement and when we arrived, we had some difficulties getting onto our place because it was July 4 and nothing was open. Eventually we got it sorted out, but that left us standing outside for more than an hour after a long drive. The place was quiet and good for a couple. Didn’t like being charged extra for an additional person who was my husband. Street parking is good for a small vehicle. Bed was comfortable. Location great.

The location of this facility was ideally close to many Seattle activities and the front yard was a beautiful mass of flowers. Unfortunately, it was not available for guests staying in the efficiency, behind the garage. Backyard was lackluster with a table and uncomfortable chairs. Efficiency is a bit larger than a standard hotel room and would have been better suited for a 1-2 night stay. A short warm shower, left the second person with a cold shower. Wardrobe can accomodate limited clothing for one person. We were unable to locate the 2nd set of bath towels during the week. Dorm sized refrigerator in kitchenette. Portable electric heater was not enough to heat the room with temps in the 40's, nor was the fan enough to cool, for 85 outdoors later in the week. (Limited windows that opened.) Some of the furniture is worn and needs to be replaced. Second day there encountered a very large hairy spider, near the bed. Glad we nailed it before getting bitten as I am allergic. Another spider hung out in the bathroom, that we were unable to reach. Thank goodness it stayed put. There was no laundry nearby. All of the dishes needed to be washed, put away and the kitchen/unit was to be left spotless. Was unable to locate the bathroom cleaner unfortunately. This might be better suited for young people, on the run, who don't care about the neighborhood and are looking for a place to crash. It is not likely that we would return.

Thanks for staying with us. We’ve been hosting a very long time now, thought we got this down, very sad your experience was not perfect. We have had guests staying and returning all seasons—one has booked four times for about a week each time this year to visit family nearby, for a number of years now. There are two in-wall electric heaters rated to heat twice the space. The ceiling is vaulted and the bathroom skylight opens to release heat, if necessary, along with three windows 24” to 36” wide. We have Adirondack chairs available under the covered patio, maybe you didn’t venture far enough. The listing clearly states the studio has a kitchenette and no washer/dryer. And you over cleaned on washing dishes (set of six) as noted in our email summary. Yes, the front yard belongs to the main house; all other outdoor areas are common shared spaces. More importantly, we have a tankless hot water heater so it is unlimited supply, set at 105F. We encourage our guests to share any concerns during or before their stay as your comfort is everything to us (and not after departure). The 36” armoire has extra towels (4 sets total) in the drawer below, and two sets are placed in the bathroom upon arrival. It’s well furnished—we’ll DM you to know what furniture needs updating. Glad you caught the two spiders—Seattle in general does not have bugs like other parts of the country, so you can sit outside without the need to pack insect sprays, we are so very lucky!

Comfortable and cozy location, both the apartment and the property. Good on-street parking in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Trung, the host, was excellent to work with and appreciated his check-ins with us. The renter in the main house on the same property was great to chat with. We were in Seattle to see our daughter at UW and will definitely be back to stay at Trung's place when we are in town next.

We love the Craftsman era with big tall ceilings, very open and lots of windows so you get an abundance of natural light. A wonderful cottage in the backyard as optional to accommodate larger groups. Great neighborhood to stroll around with tree-lined sidewalks. A big beautiful park with surrounding neighborhood shops and eateries.

Close to Green Lake, Maple Leaf Park, Northgate Mall, Thornton Creek Cinemas (Regal Theaters), Northwest Puppet Theater, zoo, very easy freeway access.
