Benvenuti a Hamakua Pukana La Hale - Una nuovissima casa vacanze!

Questo 3 camere da letto splendidamente decorate, 2 bagni di casa si trova su un pacco di acri privato lungo la costa di Hamakua, appena a nord di Hilo! Questa nuovissima casa vacanze con vista sull'oceano può ospitare 7, max 4 adulti e 3 bambini. Il paesaggio e i terreni sono spettacolari, con un Buddha alto 6 piedi e spazio per la meditazione. Le porte francesi si aprono per permettere a quegli alisei di riempire la casa. Non c'è bisogno di aria condizionata qui! Dicembre - Marzo è la stagione delle balene, e avrai un posto in prima fila per tutte le attività di balene che puoi eventualmente prendere.

La cucina è grande e facile da lavorare e, naturalmente, ha tutti i comfort necessari per cucinare quei deliziosi piatti dell'isola. La camera da letto principale con il suo bagno en-suite, letto king size, vista mare privata, schermato in lanai è la fuga perfetta dopo una lunga giornata di visite turistiche. La prima camera per gli ospiti ha un letto matrimoniale, e la camera degli ospiti 2 ha un letto a castello per i bambini più piccoli con un pieno sul fondo e due in cima.

Da questa comoda posizione, esplorare la vecchia città di Hilo con il suo grande mercato degli agricoltori e musei storici e deve vedere fermate. Scoprite anche il bellissimo Akaka Water Falls Park e l'Old Mamalahoa Highway, l'originale autostrada costruita negli anni '20 che vi portò dalla città di Hilo alla bellissima regione dei cavalli di Waimea.

Dalla casa, sei a soli 20 minuti di auto a sud di Hilo (molti parchi sulla spiaggia e luoghi di snorkeling qui), a 20 minuti a nord dalla città di Honokaa, dalla Valle di Waipio e da lì a pochi minuti dal bellissimo bianco spiaggia sabbiosa di Hapuna.

This place was calm and serene with amazing ocean views. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. There was covered parking adjacent to the house. Communication with the local property manager was excellent!

The directions were great and the host provided them in advance. There was a smoke detector that went off twice early in the morning and the host had the maintenance man come out that day to resolve the problem. The house was as described and clean. We’d stay again.

We loved our home base

It was amazing to have a comfortable home while out exploring the island! We are from Georgia and had a brief panic when we realized there was no air conditioning, but were impressed with how pleasant the house quickly becomes with open windows. It was a great stay - I wouldn’t change a thing!

We rented this lovely house for a family wedding. Property was clean, perfect for family dinners and easy to childproof. Views of our beautiful Hamakua are stunning from this location. Was all around just perfect for our grown children and grandchildren. Mahalo nui loa

Peaceful retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this rental is surrounded by greenery. It's on the rainy outside of the island so do expect some rain. Everything you need is provided. The beds are comfortable and the linens are clean. The washer and dryer was very convenient. The host was quick to respond when we tried to contact them. Grab groceries before you head here it's about 35 minute drive from Hilo. The drive to Kona is beautiful. If you plan to do activities I would book a couple in one day, due to the driving time. Beach supplies were also included which was very nice.

Lovely View From the Hamakua Coast

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from the lanai and living room is awesome. We could easily see over the first tier of homes. Quite close to the highway, but noise wasn't a problem. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well-appointed, plenty of towels and beach accessories. The furniture is nice (just wish there was more of it in the living room). Very close to Akaka Falls, but about 20 minutes from Hilo. The mosquitoes are horrible--come prepared with deet! Also, not enough laundry or dish soap is provided (rather silly, considering what renters are paying). The single story layout was perfect for my 85-yr-old mother, although she did note a lack of grab bars. I do recommend this home, but you'll enjoy it more if you're prepared!

Misleading Picture of the House

First of, the picture listed of the house is NOT the actual house. Positives: Location was nice with good distance/access. View from the house was beautiful. Spacious for 7 people. It was nice to have washer/dryer. The Hawaii Life folks were responsive.Negatives: completely misled with the pictures of where the house is relative to the area. Bit dirty; lots of dust/dirt on kitchen counters. No cell signal; make sure you have call over wifi active, otherwise make sure to have the email for Hawaii Life rep to communicate. House needs a bit of updating; no instructions on some of the outdated features (incl shower) so it took effort to figure out how to operate. Wouldve been nice to have more toiletries; 2 tiny bars of soap for 7 people is ridiculous. Biggest issues was the moldy smell of the entire house (incl bed).. Would not stay at this location again

A bit hard to find, especially in the darkWater pressure was iffy. Had to call twice for it to be fixed, but they have a very nice guy on staff to fix the problem. No dishwasher, which was a problem during the low water pressure times. No wine glasses - (issue is now fixed as we bought some from target and left behind! :) )Coffee pot could be upgradedOverall the cons we felt were very minimal things (except the water but hopefully they fix the problem!) It is a little far from everything so expect to drive- the flipside of that is that it is a beautiful drive! Our favorite close-by spot was Laupahoehoe beach park (10 min) and Waimea Town (30min). Our suggestion is to get groceries before arriving to the house if you can, each big store is about 30-40 min drive. Be sure to pack a sweater because you’ll want to watch the sunrise from the lanai but it can feel a little chilly!

Perfect get away

Views are spectacular with the nightly sounds of frogs and occasional wild pig sittings. It’s location Is a nice short distance from Hilo and a little short trip to Kona with beautiful stops along the way. Perfect spot for roaming Akaka falls, cow cuddling, the botanical gardens and the Hilo farmers market.

It was comfortable, clean, had sufficient amount of amenities, and the TV was SMART - so a few latest technologies were included. The home was a bit out of the way for us, as the reason for the trip being our attendance at the Merrie Monarch festival in Hilo, the description and directions to the home were very accurate. My only comment, which is strictly personal, is I would choose other accent decor...the tikiʻs, tribal masks, and little coconut figurines kind of weirded us out from a local perspective. Again, only personal opinion. Otherwise, Hamakua Pukana La Hale was a lovely vacation getaway! Mahalo!

Nice location - secluded with nice views of the ocean.

Great house. A little warm during the day, but we were out of the house most of the time - cools off nice in the evening. House is a little far from many of the tourist activities (this is both good and bad - really quite area). 35-40 mins to Hilo, a little over an hour to Hapuna Beach. Nice kitchen set up - used everyday for breakfast and some dinners. We really enjoyed our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an enjoyable time here. The location was easy to get to and a centralized location. We had some problems with the internet, but after unplugging and replugging the problem was solved. Our only complaint is that we were unable to get cell phone service while at the house. This is due to the location of the property, not the owner's fault.

Cozy clean in a quiet area

Really enjoyed the area we were in north of Hilo, and everything was supplied to us in the property, which was cozy and clean. We would definitely come back!
