Pernottamento a tre miglia da Freeport

Le stanze degli ospiti sono costruite in un seminterrato diurno, con pavimenti piastrellati e un sacco di accenti di pino. C'è una camera da letto matrimoniale, un ampio soggiorno e un bagno completo. I quartieri sono privati dal resto della casa occupata dal proprietario, e c'è un ingresso privato (stagionale). Questo è il lato "boscoso" di una casa che si trova su 8 ettari di terreno boscoso a poche miglia da Freeport, nel Maine. Un sacco di uccelli e tanta natura. Non c'è cucina, ma c'è una macchina per il caffè e un piccolo frigorifero.

Wifi sicuro gratuito. Abbiamo un generatore di stand-house e un grande spazzaneve per la sicurezza invernale. Entro quest'estate ci saranno posti a sedere all'aperto vicino alla porta. Oltre al letto matrimoniale, abbiamo un Pac 'n Play disponibile per un bambino e un letto singolo pieghevole per un bambino più grande.

L'accesso è limitato alla foresteria e al cortile in estate. In inverno, l'accesso ai quarti avviene attraverso la casa principale.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay here. It was beautiful and quiet which was perfect for our visit. This was first time in maine so it was a treat to be surrounded by the beautiful greenery!

Maine fall foliage

Stayed here while taking in the sites throughout the area. Rental was neat and clean, comfortable accommodations. Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

A comfy spot in the woods

We enjoyed our stay, close to Freeport, with easy access to major routes. The lodging is well appointed in good taste, but with limited views to the outside. This was not problematic as we stayed only two nights. Useful information for travellers; bring your own body wash/soap, plus diswashing detergent and sponge so that you can wash your mugs and the glasses provided in the bathroom sink. A second, more practically designed sink would be nicer to complement the kitchen facilities. We were overall very happy with our stay. Although it would have been nice to meet our hosts, we appreciated the information they provided in the welcome booklet.

Great getaway

The rental is as advertised. Everything looked very new and clean, nicely decorated and a great layout. Property is easy to find, and you can see a million stars in the night sky. Definitely recommend!

Short getaway vacation

There were many choices I could have chosen to stay. The place had great reviews and away from the beaten path but still near town. Wayne sent a message with local suggestions for dining and local attractions that made our stay very enjoyable. The place was as nice as the pictures and the woodworking was excellent. I would not hesitate to book it again.

Extended our original stay and luckily there was room at the inn. Our extra time was just as perfect and hospitable as it was from day one. We rate our time here with the highest possible grade there is.

Close to Portland, out in the backwoods

Only part I didn't like was all the mosquitoes, which obviously the host can't control. Really great property and little apartment deal. Super fun

Incredible

This property seemed as if we were the first guests ever staying it was so spotless and inviting. Anything we might have needed was available. Beautiful forested and garden surroundings made our stay all the better. We even extended our stay! Hosts Wayne and Kim were attentive if we needed anything but we wondered sometimes if they were around! They made sure we had privacy is my point! We hope this property remains available as we hope to return in the future! Many more times!

Great

Wayne was an amazing host! The place was super clean, quiet, and perfect for a couple’s weekend getaway. It had all of the amenities we needed. Wayne was very helpful and quick at responding. He even offered to make us cheeseburgers when we were hungry at 10pm! He is great. The property is beautiful and you can see the stars at night. Parking was convenient as well. Not far from Portland and Freeport. Would definitely recommend! :)

Very woodsy, long crushed rock path to entry

My VRBO reservation went flawlessly, but when it came to receive entry code instructions, apparently it got mixed up in a previous email account that I used years ago when renting my owned property in Florida. I had deleted that email years ago! I received one email on my current account stating "here are the keys to your rental", but when I went to my VRBO app I was unable to access any more information. The agent I spoke to tried to be helpful, but I had deleted the old email, and still was unable to get the information, So I went to the property in the dark rainy night, rang the doorbell and was not able rouse anyone, walked the dark path (it did have motion sensor lights along the way) So I had to make alternate plans for the first night. I returned in the morning and met with the host Wayne who was very welcoming, honored my reservation, gave me the key to the guest quarters and I had a very comfortable stay for the second night. Wayne was very generous and had refunded my fee for the first night. The guest quarters were very nicely laid out and immaculately clean and comfortable.

An Enjoyable Stay

Everything was as advertised. The unit was both comfy and cozy. It was clean and manageable. The one thing to consider, and this is not at all a negative. The location of the guest quarters is around the back of the building at the end of a gravel path. If one as mobility issues - as I do - the walk from the driveway to the entrance of the guest quarters can be a challenge. Please bear in mind that this observation is unique to me. My wife had no difficulty with the walkway. Overall, we highly recommend this property.

Great, quiet spot

Good location about 20-25 minutes from Portland and close to Freeport. Great if you're looking for a quiet stay and make day trips into the city. Clean, and newly renovated with nice amenities. TIP: If you stay during peak travel times, make reservations (or put your name in early + walk around the city) whenever possible at restaurants, or you will wait at least 30-45 minutes.

Great Place to Stay

We could not have picked a better place to stay! Conveniently located to Freeport and Portland . Wayne was very friendly and most helpful with any questions that we had. We would definitely stay here again!!

Hi, that's us on one of our trips (the Dominican Republic in this case). We love to travel, so we know what travelers need and the touches they appreciate. I'm retired and Kim works from home, and we love sharing our special location.

We built here 23 years ago because it was a beautiful 8 1/2 acres of woodland, and convenient to Portland, Brunswick, Lewiston, even Augusta (just 45 minutes).

I built the guest quarters to offer people a comfortable, friendly place to stay. I indulged my love of v-groove pine, and whitewashed it to keep the space bright.
