A perfect spot to gaze at the water and listen to birds. Pat is a splendid host, the cottage was spotless, everything works, all ship-shape. Could not have asked for a better stay.

The house is perfect for 2-4 people and dogs. It's fully stocked, comfortable, and just a beautiful location. And Pat is a lovely host!

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was 2 of us and 2 dogs. The property was perfect for the pups, had beautiful views of the water and walking distance to town. Very relaxing and had everything we needed for our stay. Pat was a great host and we will be back in the future!

We had an amazing stay, the cottage was very clean, cozy and filled with many beautiful views. Pat was extremely helpful if anything was needed. I highly recommend a stay at Pats cottage.

Very comfortable, with many special touches. Watercolors and photography by artist-host capture the beauty of the property. Pet friendly. Large laundry and mud room, plenty of storage. Nice bright kitchen, fully equipped.

Pat was super friendly and responsive, and the cottage was absolutely beautiful. We had a relaxing weekend walking around the property, watching various animals, and going into town. Our dog loved it too!

Absolutely magnificent place! A real gem! Sunset views, right on the beach. Patrick, who owns the property, was very responsive and helpful. Walking distance to Greenport village. 5 stars all round!

Pat was great, picked me up from the train station and brought me to the grocery store to grab some supplies. Place was cozy and super quiet/peaceful. I was here in January so I'd love to come back in the summer and enjoy the beach, which is right on the property.

Lovely stay in a picture-perfect location! Cottage had plenty of space for me, my husband, and our dog. Waking up to the view every morning was a delight, and Pat couldn't have been a better host. We loved taking the 20 minute walk to town, too. If you're looking for a charming, rustic, clean, comfortable, pet-friendly "country-style" stay in the north fork, this is it!

Thank you, Patrick, for sharing your magical home with us. After a long winter, our week at the Chicken Coop felt truly restorative. The space is very clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and sits on gorgeous property. We loved all the whimsical details!We loved the constant connection to nature—“bird TV” from the bedroom window, osprey flybys, even the occasional late-night wildlife drama. It was such a gift to experience it all so closely.We’re also grateful for your generosity in sharing your knowledge of Greenport and its maritime culture.We leave with wonderful memories and look forward to returning.

Wonderful getaway on the North Fork

wonderful summer retreat

My pup, Rhubarb, and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage and hope to return soon. The setting is beautiful and it was the perfect way to soak in the end of summer. Special thanks for Pat for being a great host!
