Thank you for your review! We're so glad you enjoyed the beauty of the home and its peaceful location. We would like to clarify the situation regarding our entry into the cabin. During your stay, you contacted us about a chirping smoke/gas detector. We initially advised you to unplug the device to stop the chirping, but because this is an important safety device, we did not want you to be without it for the remainder of your stay. We genuinely believed it was understood that we would be coming by to replace it. Our visit was solely to replace the detector, and the chair that was moved was used to reach the device. We certainly had no intention of making you uncomfortable or invading your privacy. We apologize for the misunderstanding and recognize that we should have communicated more clearly before entering. Guest safety is always a priority for us, and we appreciate your feedback. We're happy that you otherwise enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back in the future!

It really is a special, rustic getaway. We also appreciate you highlighting a few important details for future guests: The Drive: You are spot on about the road! It is a true one-lane mountain road, so taking it slow and keeping an eye out for oncoming traffic is always the best approach. Packing the Essentials: We do try to be as explicit as possible in our descriptions about what we provide so there are no surprises. Because we offer a starter supply of paper products (like the 2 extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom), guests staying for longer trips will definitely want to follow your excellent advice and stock up at the local IGA or pack a few extra necessities from home.
