Perfect Vacation!

We loved everything about this place! Adults loved the pool as much as the kids did. Location was great, we had nonstop fun - I think we did everything the island had to offer. House could not have been more perfect for our family of eleven. Would love to do it all again!

We were celebrating a family birthday and this property could not have been a better fit for us.

Setting was spectacular in between the great parts of the island. Enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for something special.

My husband and I, along with our children and their spouses, and two of his siblings, stayed at Kona Blue for a week to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We drove through the security gates of the neighborhood and knew immediately that we were in paradise! We had three vehicles with plenty of room for more in the driveway and easilyaccessed the house through the coded lock on the front door. The house is absolutely stunning, with unbelievable ocean views from most of the rooms! The kitchen offered everything we needed to enjoy our meals, both in the dining room and on the lanai. There was plenty of space for us to spread out when we needed to, with plenty of comfortable seating for the moments we wanted to enjoy together. The pool was the perfect temperature and offered a refreshing dip in the heat of the afternoon. There’s a easily accessible walkway through the gated neighborhood, between the houses and the ocean, to allow you to stroll through the neighborhood and snap that perfect picture of the sunset! The beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms decorated tastefully and beautifully. The property managers promptly answered our questions and helped us. After spending a few days touring the island and finding our favorite spots to spend our days, we realized just how perfect the location of this house really is. This house is a few minutes from the airport, bars, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. Perfect!

Relaxing and close to everything

This property was perfect! Enough room for everyone. Close to snorkeling and restaurants, yet super private. The pool and lanai were the highlight!

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Kona Blue and loved the ability to walk to downtown Kailua-Kona. We saw whales daily from the comfort of the back patio. Hope to return again!

Ocean Blue

Our family celebration was perfect at this beautiful oceanside home. Very comfortable and well-equipped. We hired a private chef one evening and he commented that rental properties rarely are this well stocked. It’s close to town but far away enough to be peaceful and secluded. We could not have asked for a better place to experience Hawaii. Mahalo!

Vacation in Paradise

Stunning views of ocean and pool, sunsets and volcanic rock. Large house that worked well for our 10 person family for a reunion. Some maintenance issues with screen doors that don’t work well and property is showing some wear and tear; overall fine. You are paying for an amazing view with tide pools and a small beach for snorkeling nearby.

Kona Blue Paradise

We stayed two glorious weeks at the Kona blue house. It was all we had hoped it would be and a wonderful place for a family gathering with many activities at your fingertips. The weather was beautiful and the sunsets every evening are over the top. Every evening we sat out and enjoyed dinner outside and watch the sunset. The house was well stocked and clean.

Fantastic Stay

We loved Kona Blue. The neighborhood is quiet. The houses are lovely. Our property was spacious with fantastic outdoor spaces. Kitchen well equipped. The property management team was superb. They were quick to answer any and all questions. 5 stars!!!

50th wedding anniversary

We just returned and everyone had a great time. We were three families and everyone had their own space. The kids enjoyed exploring in the backyard on the lava rocks. There was also a small sandy beach close by that the 7 and 10 year old enjoyed. The sunsets were fantastic. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio with our coffee in the mornings and soaking in the view. It was a great place for the whole family to reconnect.

Family Fun!

The location was perfect! To be on the lanai and see the ocean every day was a dream! The pool was loved by the grand children! Proximity to everything a family of 12 wanted to do was great. The house was well equipped with all we needed and more. The only disappointment was the sliding screen doors were so stiff they were hard to manage, and with 12 we used them all day. We thought the lower bedroom air conditioner smelled musty.

The property is represented well in the advertisement. It is pricey, the views did not disappoint. Only negative was the check out process. Departure time is a little to early at 10 am, its hard to even enjoy a breakfast with trying to rush around and get everyone out by 10. For the price the check out process asked us to start laundry of towels which i was only able to start 1 batch. Other than that the place is wonderful. Thank you

Gorgeous yet comfortable

Three families joined together in the beautiful and spacious house. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the house is perfectly located for quick runs into Kailu-Kona, as well as longer drives across the island to sites near Hilo. The children and adults in the group loved the pool and the easy proximity to the tidepools that are formed in the lava rock behind the poperty as well as the larger Keiki Ponds that are walking distance to the house. There is also a small sand beach walking distance to the property. The property management team was communicative and friendly as well. We would all rent this house again.

Location, location, location!

Kona Blue was the perfect location for our party of 8, gathering from across the country to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday. We had specific needs for a home given the size of our group & Mom’s mobility needs & Kona Blue fit the bill. There were plenty of spaces for us to spread out & not be on top of each other & the downstairs suite was perfect for Mom. When she became ill, she was able to isolate but still enjoy the ocean view as well as easy access to the lanai & talk with us through the screens. Communication with the rental company was wonderful & they were very responsive to my questions & requests before & during our stay. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the listing is because I felt the description was a little confusing in terms of how many rooms & the layout - there are 3 rooms over the garage with a bathroom & living room, the downstairs suite, a half bath downstairs & an amazingly large master suite upstairs. Definitely recommend Kona Blue, especially if you have a large group.
