Sand! The best part of a good stay.

We have struggled to find a vacation spot that has a sandy beach - not weeds, not rocks, not muck. This is it. It is beautiful sand as far out as you can walk, and starts very little depth close to the dock and shore if you have little ones. To review my notes ... wonderful living and dining area, even a table on a deck outdoors. Everything clean and in good repair. However, important - it is not a three bedroom home. They are counting a sunroom with a pullout sofa (nothing besides a second sofa and a sliding door) as the third bedroom. We were counting on that and doubled up in a king bedroom instead - not what we signed up for. But on to the pluses - clean large garae to park in. Lots of beach toys and a inflator if needed. Row boat, two kayaks, two canoes and a paddleboard. Plus lifejackets. Satellite TV. And the entire home is nicely decorated. So many VRBO don't put anything on the walls or provide reading lamps or comfortable chairs - but its all here. Homey touches. Very nice separation from neighbors for privacy. Owner tries to provide all the necessities and is very responsive to messages.

3rd time staying at this property and did not disappoint. Well kept, quiet, and everything you need for some time away. Swimming area is always my daughter's favorite part as it's clean and perfect depth for her.(8 yr old)

Girls Weekend

The cabin had everything we needed for our girls weekend! It was spacious, clean and had air conditioning. The beach was sandy and the water was clear. We enjoyed the kayaks and floating dock.

Another great stay at the Diaz Retreat on Silver Lake

This was my family's second summer in a row staying for a week at the Diaz's lake home, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Fishing, swimming, and just enjoying the beautiful view from both inside and outside of the home was wonderful. The home comes just as advertised, and we definitely took advantage of all of the water toys (kayaks, paddleboard, paddleboat, canoe, and the rowboat the Diaz's set us up with). You can't beat time with family at the lake, and the Diaz's retreat was the perfect place for this. We definitely hope to return again.

Summer get away

All very nice. Dan did drop the ball a bit as he did not get us the check in codes on time so we waited for 30 minutes on the deck. Fortunately it was a nice day. Also the AC was a bit light on its output, so one couple was too warm at night. But a beautiful house and fun little lake.

Healing and Fun Together

We had the best time possible! We were in the area attending a funeral for the Matriarch of our family and grieving. Dan and Kathy provided a beautiful place for respite, healing, and family time together. We enjoyed every moment on the lake and all the wildlife--deer, rabbits, fish, loons, turtles, frogs, geese, and more! The trilliums and lilies of the vall andth other wildflowers were sweet. Our time in the paddleboat, kayaks, and canoes brought laughter and joy. The beach is sandy, with the most gentle slope--our 3-year-old granddaughter loved it! The mosquitos and ticks can get bad--so bring deet bug spray and you will be good. Inside the homewell-appointedinted, comfy, and sparkling clean!! Highly recommend!

Post card lake house

This is a gem of lake house! As they say, location location location!!! Such a beautiful lake view! Gradual sloped yard to the sandy beach shoreline. Just like a post card.

Beautiful Lake

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and the lake was generally peaceful the entire stay. We were able to kayak, swim, and roast marshmallows at the fire pit. We saw quite a bit of wildlife, including painted turtles, osprey, eagles, a loon, and we could hear an owl at night. We played badminton and sat in the yard overlooking the lake. Wonderful time with our family that gives us memories for a lifetime.

A great secluded getaway!

This property has everything you need for a relaxing family getaway. The house is very clean, has a great sand beach, a dock for your boat and lots of fish to be caught! It’s only a short drive to downtown Tomahawk, making it very convenient for shopping/etc. Bonus, it has a super cute little “garage” in the back covered in cedar-shake and flowers, which was an awesome backdrop for a family photo… seriously, pack a nice outfit and take a picture!
