Retreat

This is a lovely quaint place that had everything we needed for our stay. It was wonderful to be back at the lake.

Drive to property was beautiful. Spacious, clean, and well stocked. Outdoor patios, fire pit, and dock are all nice and well kept. It was a little cold so we didn’t utilize the outside areas as much as we hoped. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely house.

Lovely house. It is more of a neighborhood feel. Nice accommodations. The beds were not to our liking, but everything else was super clean and very nice.

Much needed God's country quick getaway!

Everything was as described or better. Good fishing off the dock! Quite and peaceful location. Only thing that would of made it better would of been a/c!

Gleason Lake House

This home was a great retreat, very relaxing, comfy, well maintained and had a beautiful view. The property managers were extremely responsive and accommodating. I'm hoping to stay again soon.

Beautiful place to stay!

Gorgeous location, comfy beds, and a very clean, very nice place. Electric oven and gas stovetop. Bring any basic food items you might need and enjoy the stay! Two deck levels and a boat dock so you can really enjoy the view! Kids would love this place too because swimming is right there!

Relaxation at its finest.

We had an amazing time. The place was so clean and beautiful. It was just what we needed to unwind and decompress. The kitchen is fully stocked which was nice as we cooked ourselves the whole time. Anything we needed was there. The pictures are exactly how it was. Hoping to go back this summer when we can enjoy the outside more.

Everything was wonderful about our stay! Just a couple of comments for feedback.... we assumed there was a kayak available to use from the property pictures presented. I was so disappointed that that was not the case. Also, it would have been nice to have a written house guide at the rental, rather than having to email our questions. Otherwise, excellent experience!!

The toilet paper holder was still off the wall from the last time I stayed there in August. Neither times were the toilet paper and paper towel well stocked, I had to run out and get more of one or the other. I think it would be a great idea to get some pot holders or an oven mitt for hot stuff; I couldn’t find one. I also think it’d be a good idea to get a recycling bin/garbage can if you want them separated and let your guests know that prior to check out.

Arrived to the property and the trash can was overflowing and rancid smelling in the garage. There was only one roll of toilet paper, and a half roll of paper towel. I used the restroom and the toilet paper holder came off the wall. It was never repaired. As I walked out the back door, there were two empty bottles, and on my walk to the lake there were FIVE piles of dog feces. It’s clear housekeeping isn’t double checking the cleanliness of the property. I stayed here for 10 days in April and had no problems; but this stay was a complete nightmare, And anything but a relaxing vacation.

Many positives… Beautiful home! Lovely views! Garage oarking! Great kitchen!Down side for us were the beds; mattresses need to be replaced… It’s advertised as sleeping 6; 2 king beds. The other “ bed” is an inflatable mattress… When we arrived at the house we luckily found the back door unlocked (we had walked around to see the view.) That was fortunate since side door combo lock was unusable because the batteries were dead. Inside there were several beeping alarms (smoke, etc) going off in difficult to find places. After calling Vrbo we were connected with a lovely woman in India (go figure) who was able to get in touch with (we think) the owners who sent neighbor Robin over to help out. My sister worked with him for over an hour to find batteries and sort out all the beeping. Robin is the best!We had power go out twice, and though there’s a generator, it never kicked in.Otherwise, it was great!
