We visited in early October, before the water level drops. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Communication was clear, and the owners went above and beyond to account for all the little details to make us feel at home. The grounds are calm, quiet, and gorgeous. The house was clean and welcoming. I highly recommend!

We loved staying here for a week while we toured mammoth caves. I can't think of anything that would have made the stay better, everything was great.The driveway is extremely steep. We had a FWD rental minivan and it struggled to get up the gravel driveway when it was dry. If there were inclement weather it may be a challenge. The dock is shared with the neighbors, it is not private. The neighbors we met were friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay! It felt like a home away from home. The views of the lake were fantastic, the hosts accommodating, would definitely recommend!! They even made it an easy process for our furry family member to join us on our trip.

Our party of 7 - 5 adults and 2 young children and a dog had the best vacation ever! The home was a perfect vacation spot and the area is far enough from the tourist areas to make you feel you are truly on vacation, yet within an under a 45 minute drive away from anything you may possibly need. Most things are within a 15 minute drive. The home has plenty of room for sleeping and the kitchen was well stocked. We lost power from a storm one night and the well stocked game room provided entertainment with candlelight card games. Being able to dock our rented pontoon and have free use of the kayaks and paddleboard was a big hit also! Would gladly return!

We just stayed for a guys weekend and it was truly perfect spot for a group of old friends to gather. The hosts go above and beyond with lots of firewood stacked and dry, and everything you could need! The lake views are beautiful on the back deck. We will definitely be back!

Great family vacation spot!

Our family loved our stay here. It was a beautiful area and Nolin Lake was spectacular. We have already recommend this cabin to a family friend & we would love to book it again in the future!

Perfect Getaway!

Everything about this cabin was perfect. The cabin, the location, the dock and pet friendly! The owners were so nice and respond quickly. We will definitely book here again!!

House was well stocked and very roomy. I was surprised that it actually took 45 minutes to get to Mammoth Cave Visitor's Center - the description says 20 minutes. One day we travelled to Cave City (also 45 minutes) and toured the Onyx Cave, which we really enjoyed. The tour took about 30 minutes and we descended 80 feet into the cave, but steps were spread out so we didn't have to walk up or down many at one time. Good experience!

Thanks for staying with us! I’m glad you enjoyed some of what the area has to offer. I’m sorry your drive to the Visitors Center took longer than expected. The section of the listing called “Explore the Area” is generated by VRBO and we are not able to influence what is shared there. Mammoth Cave NP covers about 80 square miles and it looks like they used the center of the park to compute the distance, not the Visitor’s Center.
