Recentemente ristrutturato, Sunset Beach House è costituito da due strutture separate: la struttura frontale è la casa principale e la struttura posteriore è la casa degli ospiti, ideale per una famiglia numerosa o 2 famiglie che vogliono stare insieme.

La casa di fronte ha la camera da letto principale con un letto matrimoniale, la seconda camera ha anche un letto matrimoniale e c'è una cucina, un soggiorno e un bagno. C'è anche un ponte frontale che ti permette di immergerti al sole o goderti i panorami mozzafiato.

La guest house posteriore è una struttura sperata che ha il suo ingresso privato e offre 2 camere da letto e un angolo cottura, la prima camera da letto è composta da un letto matrimoniale mentre la seconda camera da letto è composta da 2 letti singoli. C'è anche un bagno completo che è condiviso tra le 2 camere da letto.

Una lavanderia che è condivisa tra le due case è disponibile anche sulla proprietà.

A beautiful beachfront North Shore locale ideal for a family and/or friends vacation. From the sound of the crashing waves to the starry nights to the surfers just in front, I can’t recommend this home highly enough. It is clean and well-equipped (from beach chairs to wi-fi and streaming) with enough space for eight adults. It is close to stores, state parks and only one hour from Honolulu. The host, William Kernot, is professional and responsive. One of our best vacations ever!

The beach front location was the best part of this Vrbo. That made it so worth it. It was near a gas station and several açaí bowl providersThere were some issues with the physical facility - it definitely needs some TLC attention to fix broken items and update since items. The kitchen sink dish sprayer doesn’t work; the back screen door for the sliding doors to the deck is the wrong screen size and falls out repeatedly; the deck furniture could use a good power wash and either a fresh coat of paint or a fresh stain coat; the back coach house bedrooms don’t get much air movement from the ocean so it could really use a floor air conditioner unit for use at night (the ones that vent through the wall - they are very easy to install) - we bought several extra fans and left them there; there is a square gap in the concrete drive about 18”x18” that is covered by a rusty metal piece that didn’t hold the weight of the car and was an injury hazard when walking. All in all, we were glad for the ocean front location but honestly I would not stay there again when we return to Hawaii.

Gorgeous location right next to the ocean! Comfortable furniture, convenient outside shower, well-stocked kitchen. A few things we wish we had prepared for: the ocean is loud. Like really, really loud. That may seem obvious, but the house does not have AC so with the windows constantly open it was very loud all the time. Bring earplugs to be able to sleep at night. Also, the owner asks that you not wear shoes inside. No problem, but I end up with back pain if I don't wear shoes, so I would have brought comfy slippers to wear indoors if I had known. All in all we had a wonderful trip and the property was a fabulous place to stay.

North Shore Heaven

We had the most magical family surf trip here. The location is amazing and on a quiet stretch of beach in between Rocky Point and Sunset. Every night we watched the sunset from the awesome deck and even saw whales. The property is exactly as pictured. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely stunning home to stay at. Right on the beach. Able to enjoy walks on the beach, the surf, waves, sunsets, and the occasional rainbow! Stayed with 7 family members. Having both homes on the same property worked out perfectly for us.

We had the most amazing experience at this property. The house was extremely clean when we got there. The owner was super responsive. The north surf shop was great for bike ride rentals and very affordable. We were two seperate families( one of 5 and one of 3) and we felt there was plenty of room

Lovely house

This property is absolutely perfect. Location was ideal to visit the North Shore. There were 8 of us and we were very comfortable. The main house is very nicely stocked with kitchen appliances and everything worked very well. Parking is also excellent. We had 3 cars and were able to park in the courtyard without any issues. We were very comfortable without air conditioning. All rooms have ceiling fans.

Thanksgiving on the beach

Our family had a wonderful at this charming beach house, steps away from Sunset beach.. Location is a quick car ride to everything you need: snorkeling, surfing, shopping, etc. Property manager was very responsive. The TV in the front room wouldn't turn on and after troubleshooting it, there was a new one installed within a day.

Great Location

We loved our stay for 8 days and wish we could have extended our trip. We stayed with my sister and her family, 4 adults, and 4 kids. We had a parents house and kids house (ages 15-20). It was a perfect set up. There was plenty to do in the area, but our crew surfed and moved from beach to deck to house freely and happily. It was the vacation we all needed after a long winter.

Beach getaway

House and property were perfect for the 5 of us. The guest house was nice for the kids it gave us a little space. Beach was excellent water was a little rough to walk into but you could walk down the Beach 5 minutes and there was a calmer place to go in. We are beginner surfers so the waves in front of the property were to big for us. Aside from that everything was great.

A great place to celebrate a birthday!

Overall, it was exactly as desired and expected- a private beachfront getaway free from the madness of the resort areas (Au Lani, Honolulu to Waikiki). All needed items are either onsite or down the road at Foodland. This is not a hotel- it’s a home that you will quickly make your own. The only minor challenge was a failure of the dishwasher (with 7 people, we had no issues keeping things washed). The twin beds in the back house could use slightly thicker mattresses (just an observation). Excellent value- we would come back to the property as is and stay for a month.

Loved the deck space … literally on beach!

House worked out great for house! We had a fantastic time even during rainy season. Deck has over hang great for shade and rain. House was fine.. but not really room for 8 people , living room and dining room furniture were oversized and very heavy. Our bedroom had a great view of beach but mattress seemed to be a full while bed it’s self was oversized for room and challenging to navigate around on one side. House was great for 5 of us but would be challenging for 8. Loved our time there … thought this might help a bigger group.

While we had a good time overall, this stay felt more like glamping than a comfortable beach rental. Communication with the host was minimal — I had to reach out the day before to get check-in info, and my early check-in request was never answered. The photos are misleading; while it is beachfront, the shoreline has eroded into a steep drop. It is technically possible to climb down, but it’s unsafe and inconvenient, especially for kids or elderly guests.Cleanliness was also disappointing. Multiple plates, bowls, and cups were put away in the cabinets with dried food still on them, which made the kitchen feel unwelcoming. On top of that, the house was very hot, and the ceiling fans didn’t do much to help with airflow.We ended up cutting our trip short and booking a hotel to get some good rest before a full day of travel. While the location, ocean views and sunsets were beautiful, overall the house feels neglected and not prepared with guests’ comfort in mind. With better upkeep, more attention to cleanliness, and some thought toward guest experience, this rental could be much better.

Location location location

This house was perfect for our family. The location was absolutely amazing and we would definitely visit again. The home was stocked with everything we needed and the beach was literally at our fingertips and toes. The beach is listed as private but there are people walking it and playing on it all day long so it’s not private. The only issues we experienced were that 3 of the 4 bedroom TVs didn’t work, but we weren’t there to watch TV so it didn’t impact us much. The refrigerator did seem to have an issue keeping the temperature near the end of our stay. The guest house does get pretty hot during the summer months so it’s important to keep those windows open at all times to allow for a breeze as there is no AC. The main house kept pretty cool with the breeze from ocean. Some of the windows don’t have screens so we had a bit of issues with bugs entering the home. It was either keep the windows shut and sweat or open the windows and possibly get a few bugs flying around in the house. But you’re in Hawaii so bugs are expected! The house is pretty old, guessing it was built in the 40s or 50s. Not everything has been upgraded, but we didn’t mind that too much, we had what we needed and we explored the island most of the time. The owners father showed up at the property during our stay which threw us off a bit as we weren’t expecting an unannounced visit. I’ve never had an owner randomly show up during a VRBO stay and it would have been nice to have been alerted beforehand.
